i have my BTL 18 in about 7.5-7.9 cuft tuned to ~31 hz and the lows are beastly. my rear window leaks now, maybe from the bass or maybe old truck, idk, but since im on an FI forum lets say its the sub is doin it. it nearly pops out when i play some low stuff.

yeah dont get a cap. bat and HO alt are both great suggestions. wut kind of sub do you have? a Q possibly? shouldnt be a bad amp for that sub as long as u have a dual 1 ohm sub runnin at 2 ohms you should be good on that part. just do your elec system right.

i saw that demo truck in one of the parades in metairie on severn it was deff loud. bass traveled very far. but im sure the caddy will slam harder considering 8 FI BTL'S WILL BE IN THERE!! ur ears are dead.

are you sure u cant squeeze a 4 cuft box tuned to 33 for 2 12's?? im a sucker for ported boxes i usually tune to about 30-35 but if u cant fit 4 cubes i say got with the 2 12's sealed.

like i said, someone told me that they did about 2300 of actual clean power. didnt say i tested it or anything. i was interested in buying a massive 3000 because it was so cheap on ebay, but someone on here suggested i didnt because they didnt put out the power they are supposed to. just trying to help this guy out.

ok, BTL 15(s) 3kw for each (however many u choose) SERIOUS ELECTRICAL. at least a 300 amp alt unless u plan on using straight batteries for power, maybe running 16volts or so to get more power out of ur amp(s) if so get a lot of batteries, deep cycle. i personally like the optima yellow top group 31 as far as a box goes, try like 3-3.5 cubes per 15 and your gonna have to just play around with tuning. i suggest doing interchangable port box so u can swap out ports easily to find the one that likes your car or truck. 150's with one 15 is not out of the question. im not sure about mid 150's so dont hold me to that. but its all gonna take some tweekin and playin, alot.

BTL 15, 3kw from amp, serious electric system. thats wut i suggest i know someone with a 15(brand not named since its not FI) on an IA 20.1 running at .35 ohms in a 98 ext cab silverado doin 150's not mid 150's but 150's none the less. so its not a far fetched idea with a single 15, but like kickin said, its no walk in the park.

i vote MMats. only becuz i heard the massives dont do 3K someone said about 2300 actual clean power. thats just my opinion. i see alot of ppl running mmats, never heard anything neg about them. also, do u have 3 15's or 3 18's? title says 18 but in ur post u say 15's. with 7-8 cubes per sub i assume u have 18's.

i didnt have a problem, i got limo on all the backs and a layer of 20 on top of a layer of 35 on my fronts. alot of trucks that are there arent show worthy, including mine.

i would have to say headreast in most cases but ive seen some crazy stuff.

i love the SQ from my BTL 18 and i have an 05 XXX 18 and the SQ from both is great wouldnt trade my BTL for anything. i would however trade my XXX 18 for another btl 18

yeah i went last year. hope they have the same stuff at the dragstrip, i.e. stripper pole on the back of a colorado, oh and uh...STRIPPERS it would be sweet if FI had a booth or something out there. treo had something out there last year i think.

BTL 18 fully loaded orion xtr pro 2400 box tuned to 31 hz, on the TL 159.5 in port wars at 40 hz only metering ive done so far. did about 146.+ with 1800 rms at 35-40 hz in the kick.

yeah i went to that mobile one show. i didnt run becuz my btl was blown. but all my buddies ran. they all won in their class. they all had FI subs it was an A/C mic.

just checked your car doamin page, your truck looked familiar and i remember i seen you at the old Tunes building for a test and tune show. cool, yeah i see your from metairie. i work out there for an A/C company did u run at that test and tune? and when was it?

im pretty sure it was part of the USACI events that year. triple crown event maybe? or something to that affect. if im not mistaken, usaci held the spl event. there were alot of entries last year, i placed like 12th out of 17 in my class. some classes had like 25 ppl in them. but if u enter an event u can park inside the show instead of walik ten miles, thats why im entering the comp. set up a ezup and BBQ off my tailgate.

yeah we had a blast last year even though all kinds of chit was destroyed from the hurricane. im sure itll be better this year if they rebuilt

just wanted to know if anyone from here was goin to scrapin the coast in biloxi, ms at the end of june. 23-24 curious to see how many fellow Fi'ers will be there. me and the crew are going, im sure there will be another SPL show like they had last year. my truck will be finished being bagged by then and i should have sub ready too. ill deffinitely be entering the SPL comp.
