  1. I know RE made these with flatwound coils..are your recones for these copper? If all options, extra spiders, exc. How much can this sub be beefed to? 1200 rms? Compression plug option on these recones = ? Would you guys send shims?

  3. Any gasket for an 18item should work.. look around

I was planning on buying an sx recone from your site as well. All the options are self explanatory, but you only make the coils in the original re flatwound? And at dual 2s?
  5. Try an Fi Q. You will love its performance at that wattage in both sealed and ported applications. Proud owner. Sealed for the winter ported for the summer. =)
  6. Sell me this BL or I will trade you a fully operational SSD with a curb warranty.
  7. When I first started this hobby I messed some equipment up...good thing it was only 1 volfenhag subwoofer, but I learned from that point that if there was something I was unsure about or didn't know in detail everything I was doing, I would come to forums or ask someone more knowledgeable. I would hate for you to have your first equipment you mess up being 800$ worth of subs and probably an amp worth close to 800you as well. This setup requires no mistakes with wiring gauge type, electrical capacity, clean connections, gain setting, box specs, your own listening, and check and double check skills with a dmm. You might want to have someone put it in for you and tell you the supplies you need because to even make this system operational you're going to need an excessive deep cycle battery, proper gauge wire, big 3, and proper placement of fuses.
  8. Voltage is fine from the amp 13+ while bass is up. I think my negative battery terminal up front was loose and that was what was not giving me the umph to hit those notes with vol up. As it was a lack of ground. Does that make sense?
  9. First of all, thanks for your response. I don't know if the amp shuts off ill check today. Its gonna suck sitting back in the trunk with the bass beating like that. If the amp shuts off that would mean remote wire problems? Even if the amp was getting 10 volts it would still stay on, right? Im thiinking that its a ground or maybe even something under the hood with my recent big 3 upgrade. I did it not to the best cleanliness because I didn't have correct terminals exc. But its done with good wiring and clean connections gold plated terms. I wouldn't need to take the speaker wires out to check the wiring just check the screws on the amp with the wires in right? My dumbass didn't check the ohmage when putting it in, just know that its wired correctly. Don't have access to dmm but will borrow one today. Does that sound like a rca problem at all? Last resort would be to take headunit out. Still in good working condition its a n old jvc kd series maybe take out the rca wire a new one or put the rca into the rear input to the head unit and see if it still does it? How do you check rca with dmm? Can you?
  10. I recently have taken out my Fi Q and put in another sub to test/listen to before sale. During the uninstallation of my Q I fussed with my amp / tightened conections/took rcas out but not power or ground wire/ lifted it off the amp rack exc. Upon reinstalltion of my Fi sub when volume gets high, the sub seems to be skipping out on hitting its notes/ skips. I was thinking off the bat that it was my rcas gone bad, as it has happened before. Another side of me thinks that its my electrical, maybe one of my batteries is dead and is only kept charged by the rear battery. I have a horrible but operating set up -to regular starting battery 4 gauge to battery in back which is a everstarrt marine walmart battery =(. Battery in trunk is grounded to strut ground in trunk. Big 3 upgrade has been done on stock alt. I will check all my connections today and make sure everything is good from the hood to the trunk. Is there any things that you advise checking or paying more attention to or anything I can check with a dmm. I have a crappy volt meter that's hard t read when listening to sub at high volumes +and I know its off by like. 4 volts or so. Feedback would be appreciated.
  11. I would put them in like a 2 cube ported because you said yourself you're using a cheap amp, so I take that as you're under powering them. A larger ported box will help you get more out of the power you give them. Or just make up a small sealed box giving them about .75 cubic feet or less per sub, and never have to worry about it. Its for your gfs car, so just give her the bump in the rump that she wants for her music and

  16. Looking for a motor to handle 1500 w + pref RE FI or TC
  17. The DP would suit me well as I am putting about a 1500W handling recone in. Also Im looking for a 12RE spoke silver or black basket purposely for the cosmetic look of the sub
  18. Have pictures?
  19. Eh..how much?
  20. Anyone have any motors laying around? Preferably RE, Fi, or TC sounds. Let me know what you got post pic if you can and size of slugs exc.

Really don't feel like paying 20 bucks for a foot at local audio store and not really into buying scosche wire, that industrial stuff is good, I already have a 3 ft strand I probably will use as ground, just need some 10 ft strand probably to split up to go to the alt exc. Also need some connectors, I might think about getting that 2 gauge off that site, thanks man.
