The o ring on the injector nearest the bumper is stuck inside the fuel rail I believe, that or it is gone completely. I'm going to try to use a dental mirror to confirm, but it feels like there is a rubbery squish when I try to put the rail down on the injector. Last time I took it off it slid back on like cupcakes. I can't get the rail to mate with the injector. It feels like it has a solid connection, but gas just sprays out. I tried petroleum jelly and wd 40 to maybe ease the injector into the o ring while inside the rail. No luck. Maybe I will get my first bit of good luck and the O ring will just be MIA and I can grab one from the store and not worry about removal from the rail. The last attempt of the night/morning had the rail seated deeper than ever but it still just shot out fuel, so perhaps it got washed out. As much of a pain all this has been for me, I don't think I have ever learned so much intangible info on working on a vehicle. Ruined the fuck out of my manicure though. Oh and thank you guys for reminding me to blow out the holes before pulling the plugs. WTF, one of the holes on the drivers side was stuffed with dried out coolant powder. Ultra nasty. the oring must be on the injector, not in the hole. Use a pick to fish it out... barring use of a pick, angle a wire coathanger to reach into the rail and fish it out. also, put petroleum jelly on the O-ring after yoi get it back on the injector. you should realoy use the jelly on all of the rings before putting tyem back into the rail.
