  1. Why are there so many cry babies in this sport? Guys that have the best year ever then get new gear before anybody else and probably on the cheap then they have some issues, get rid of the gear and turn their back on the company that got them where they are today?
  2. it has to do with how high the mid has to be crossed and the cone area that cause beaming. So that's why I was thinking about going with smaller drivers to combat that.
  3. Hmmmmm, where is he?
  4. Impious was talking to me about "beaming" before and what I took from it was that with smaller drivers you could mate them to a tweeter a lot easier, but you won't have as much output so you need more of them
  5. Maybe I could just do a pair of 5.25 mids in each door to combat "beaming" from using larger mids? Or do you think that a good passive 3 way would be better? Why would you use a 5.25 in a 3 way? I would rather have an active 2 way than most passive 3 ways. I'm sorry, that's what I meant. An active 2 way with dual 5.25's
  6. Maybe I could just do a pair of 5.25 mids in each door to combat "beaming" from using larger mids? Or do you think that a good passive 3 way would be better?
  7. Well I have already screwed up and tried a 3 way setup and already have holes cut in the door panels of the Hummer so this time around I want to do it right.
  8. I'm looking at doing something that will sound good at lower volumes and still keep up with a payout of 18's on roughly 5k or so. I have been piecing together a whole Morel setup from parts express, but I know I would pick the wrong shit so I figured I would try to get a little insight first.
  9. Active 3-ways off axis
  10. I've never really tried my hand at making a great sounding front stage, I usually buy a set of components and throw an amp at them. This time around I would really like to understand what makes up a great front stage and why. what about cone size, do you start with choosing a tweeter and then work your way down to the mid woofer? Help me better understand the things I don't know.
  11. Damn it now you've got me thinking about food

  13. I want a 3500D to show up at my house. Actually make that 2. Can't wait to see the pics though!
  14. Wow, to have been sponsered by MTX and Soundstream, you really do create some questionable threads in regards to anything car audio related. Also, you seem to make a lot of mispellings, as well as a lot of misunderstandings of the basics in regards to competing, especially for somebody that has been doing for as long as you have. I understand you've stated that you have been out of the game for some time, but fuse ratings and such still obtains the same technology as it do before if I'm not mistaken. I agree completely
  15. Used would be the best for a budget, but IMO the Brutus line really isn't a bad amp at all. Plus you have the security of a warranty. If I only had $600 and wanted something new to go with my new subs I would buy them.
  16. Kohl's, Marshall's, TJ Maxx or find some on Ebay that are only slightly used. you can get brand new shoes on Ebay for super cheap
  17. Yeah it would pry be cool to hang with Aaron for a day
  18. you are so ungrateful Neil!
  19. Really digging A$AP Rocky right now! "wild for the night"
  20. What I got out of it is that the sp4 is their low end monster and this one will be more for the lanes.
