You know man i have no idea what the port dimensions are and stuff but i had a company build the box for me which was pretty pricey but well worth it. You can see it in my profile here and also i have a few videos on youtube under tots7474 page if you want to hear it.

My box it 45" W, 20" D, 15" H......Its a shared compartment and 4.23 cubic feet internally tuned at 33hz. But the box is 1inch all sides, 2 inch front baffle and braced inside inch. It is a complete beast. The box weighs about 150 pounds.

I agree!! Go big or go home. I wanted to run a set of 15's but didn't want to give up all my cargo space in my SUV. I am happy with the output from my 2 BL 12's.

I will see if i can get you the dimensions of my box. Mine is tuned at 33hz and it hits hard.

It should be fine. I have 2 FI BL 12's running off of a Rockford 2500-1bdcp and it wangs. Each sub gets about 1600 watts and it sounds really good.

Ok i was just really curious because i know it will be hard for me to sell them since here in San Diego no one really knows about FI except when i come around and put some sounds on!!!

I am just looking for a few different color FI ball caps.

I was wondering if FI still makes the BL 12's with the 4" voice coil option because i just purchased another set and that option wasn't available.

Well maybe it was the break in time because they don't get warm anymore. I still have the factory deck in my SUV but have a Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.1 connected to run all the external components.

Forum, I have a unique situation and was looking for help. I have 4 FI BL subs but 2 are dual 1 ohm and the other 2 are dual 2 ohm. Can i run these 4 subs in the same enclosure and what final impedence will they have wired in series or parallel?? I have 2 Fosgate 2500-1bdcp amps that can be strapped together at a final load of 2 ohms.

So the 4.23 net volume and 33hz tuning is allowing me to get the most out of these subs?

Well i am glad to hear that. I know one thing for sure they are loud as hell..!!! I just dont want to overdrive them. They get warm when i wang on them a little. That may happen because i need to get a bigger alt to help supply power to them.

Yes its net after everything. When i ordered the subs this site said tune to 33hz now it says 32??....

Fella's, I am running 2 BL 12's in a ported 4.23 cubic ft enclosure tuned at 33hz. Is this enclosure large enough for the BL subs? The enclosure is 1" thick all sides, braced inside 1" thick and has a 2" front baffle so i know its strong enough.

Well with the gain on the 2500-1 only halfway up the subs which are fully loaded are getting really warm in a few minutes of continuous slamming. Maybe i need to back down on the gains a little but i thought with the 4" voice coils and fully loaded the BL 12's would handle that power.

how far should i put the box from the tailgate so the port can breathe?

Fella's, I was wondering would it be better to fire my 12" BL's forward in my SUV or to the rear towards the tailgate? I cant fire them up so its either forward or backwards? Thanks in advance.

Well the new enclosure arrived and i let them wang for a good amount of time yesterday. It was the old enclosures shabby design that made them get hot. They barely got warm yesterday and they were really dancing.

The new enclosure arrived!!! Oh my God these things are so loud and hit so hard. The wait was worth it.

Well i hope mine come alive in the new enclosure i had built for them.

Yeah i was playing some low end music and for the first time they got hot. I am going to put them in a different box and see how they perform.

I also am wondering if the dual 1 ohm subs are just that or a little lower than 1 ohm? My amp is stable down to 1 ohm.
