Icons and crescendo bc2k barely any output
i dont see how i could have wired it up wrong its pretty simple. and i dont think they are out of phase cuz it works on one amp and not the other with exaxtly the same wiring

These are my amp settings. No the gain isn't all the way up

Icons and crescendo bc2k barely any output
It's at 4 ohms until I get my new alternator cuz stock is garbage. I switched the amp to a cheap Kenwood 500 watt amp though and they run fine on that. And every thing is wired the same

I don't have a multimeter but I'm going to switch out the amp and see if that helps

Icons and crescendo bc2k barely any output
It sounds like it could be a short because I a m barely getting any cone excursion just a few millimeters but I don't know here it could be. I can get pics in the morning. If i pushed the wire to far into the terminal and it touches the side of the sub is that a problem? I don't know if I did that or not but it's a possibility so if it can cause problems ill check that once I have some light.

Started gain at minimum and then turned it slowly to middle not much happened. It barely became audible at half setting. Yes I triple checked the wiring I don't see any problems. I took it all apart and put it back together and that didn't help either

Yes they are dual voice coil. How would I be able to tell if they are out of phase

The enclosure is ported tuned to 31hz 15in tall 19 in wide and just under three feet long. but the enclosure isn't the problem. I I am literally getting so little cone excursion at full tilt that when I put my hand on the sub I can barely feel it. lpf is at 100hz ssf is at 20hz.

Icons and crescendo bc2k barely any output
I just switched out my old Kenwood subs and 500 watt amp for 2 12 in icons and a bc2k and there is almost no output from the subs. I didn't change any settings on the head unit and I double checked the wiring they are wired to 4 ohm so I should see 700 watts. The amp is on and not in protect. The bass is so quiet that the factory speakers are louder. Anybody have any ideas on what could be wrong?

Suggestions for subs in dodge intrepid trunk
Yeah they redid the intrepid in 02. Thats when the seats started folding down. I think i will tune to 31hz. And the actual trunk is bigger than those measurements

Measurements are correct. Trunk is huge .

Suggestions for subs in dodge intrepid trunk
The seats fold down so i can slide it in from the front. And i changed my mind i think i want it to be loud without sacrificing any more sq than i have to

Suggestions for subs in dodge intrepid trunk
Max height 1ft 6 width 3 ft depth 4 ft I have a crescendo bc 2k. I like bass that you can feel. Loudness is more important than quality but i still want them to sound decent as far as sq. I am willing to spend up to 750 on just the subs I was thinking tuned around 34 hz And my overall goal is to maximise my cone area in my given space and have a powerfull bass if that make sense. I like to feel my body shake.

Suggestions for subs in dodge intrepid trunk
Hey ive posted before here asking about what subs i should buy to fit in the trunk of a 2004 dodge intrepid but never really came to a decision. But with the black friday sale i really want to make up my mind fast. I have a regular battery in the front and an xs 3400 in the rear. Did big 3 in 00 wire. And im getting a new alternator. Im not sure what amps i need to get to have sufficient power for 2250 watts rms. Any suggestions. For subs so far i like the idea of 1 15 in zcon, or 2 12 in icon, or possibly 3 10 in gcon. Im not sure if any of those are practical or not, so im completely open to suggestion. For enclosure im not sure if i will do ported or sealed it all depends on space. And i mostly listen to rap music.

Do i have room
Oh actually 2004 dodge intrepid. And i dont keep anything in my trunk so i want to make full use of it. Seats fold down which might give me a bigger opening. What would you suggest for subs and enclosure. with a trunk that is 1.5ft tall 3 feet wide and 4 feet deep and crescendo bc2k for amp. Also i will have the electrical to support that.
-
Do i have room
yeah i mean feet. ha yeah thats what i figured but i was hoping since i have a big trunk it would work

Do i have room

Zcon 15 or 18
Why would you assume that no manufacturer would produce a sub that doesn't sound good. That's like saying that no director would make a movie that sucks
