Come tell me what to spend my money on
Thanks for the info man.The Fi x interested me as well.Originally i was planning on going sealed, but i keep hearing that a correctly built ported box will sound close to a sealed and be louder so i might go that route.I'm new to all the non mainstream brands so the advice is very welcomed.

So here's the lowdown, I have a 93 Subaru legacy sedan and I'm looking for a sub and an amp.About 70% of what i listen to is metal, and the other 30% is mostly dubstep with a bit of rap thrown in on the rare occasion.Basically i want something that will sound good with the double bass and fast bass lines in metal, but still have some thump for dubstep.Looking to keep it under $400 for both.I've been seriously considering a dcon 12,but i saw a vendor selling an open box sa-12 in the classifieds.I'd like some good sq but in not an audiophile, if it will sound good with music I'd be more than happy.

Thanks for the invite.Lebanon is probably about 4 hours from me, so if i can get off work I'd be down to go.It would be nice to hear some of this stuff in person instead of just on youtube.- Hey guys, checkin in from Tennessee
Thanks guys, I don't have any kind of brand loyalty at the moment. Most of the stuff I've actually heard in person have been my friends setups from best buy with the exception of a few guys who ran jl.I always liked the jl stuff but I've found out i can get as good or better for less money.- Hey guys, checkin in from Tennessee
So yeah, I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to car audio.Never even had a sub or an amp. It's about time to fix that.I've been doing a lot of research lately trying to decide what to get and i ended up here.Once i get a couple posts in here I'll be asking some questions in the other sections. So feel free to pop in and drop some knowledge on me. - Hey guys, checkin in from Tennessee
