  1. the d2 does great with the JBL. Theres nothing wrong with JBL, it puts out tons of power. in a couple days im gona grab a viper 1200d to replace the jbl. the profile works perfect for my components. simple, cheap, and reliable.
  2. daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn
  3. ok here are the pics.
  4. the more and more i listen to it with different music, the more it just amazing me on how good it sounds. so damn clean and nice sounding. my whole system sounds great now, just need to grab an EQ soon.
  5. yeah it has a crossover...
  6. im gettting a directed 1100d.... look on ebay. im getting the super cheap refurb ones with 1 year warranty.
  7. thats a very good idea.
  8. im pretty sure that was the case. everything is fine now. gain was too high, i only thought it could be the rattle cuz i thought 600 watts is all this sub needed to reach full excursion, but now i know, and im anxious to see what it does with 1200 watts. would it be ok to slam it with 1200 watts yet or should i wait a couple days more of playing?
  9. so to my suprise my 12" d2 came in the mail today. It was scheduled to show up on tuesday. (Thank you FedEx!) anyways i wired it all up, my jbl 1200 at 4 ohms, so 600 watts, just to see how it does and play around with it. sealed box, 1.6 cubes after displacements. well wow, this sub is very very accurate. its so quick. and its suprisingly loud off just 600 watts. i cant wait till i wire my jbl up to 1200 watts which will be in a day or two. Pics will be up tonight as i dont know where my sister is and she has my cam. side note - i didnt hear any ticking noise for most music, but i played a bass song that plays low to high notes and it seemed i heard a kind of rattle, not sure if its from the sub but illl check it out, there just seemed to be a noise there that shouldnt be there. ill post back up soon.
  10. just because ur getting 12 volts wouldnt be the problem of why ur not getting loud at low-medium volumes
  11. helotaxi - i see. I bet that is my problem, and how would i go about fixing this?
  12. i duno...are they gona actually be like that? no cover or anyhting? itd be sweet if u covered it in a clear casing so u can see the internals.
  13. i agree with what everyone is saying. definetly port RF subs. GnomeAudio can make u box plans........10 bucks i think.
  14. is off axis door installation or kick panels? and how much do they cost and do they come in 5.25"?
  15. oh and very nice work on the amp install
  16. what sub/s?
  17. nice! im sure they will sound awesome. Im looking forward to hearing reviews of these components and the new RE components coming out. whatsup with this Xover...
  18. are u only talking about SPL to the mic or SPL to the ear? big difference as u should know. If ur talking about SPL to the ear then when i get my d2 i will be comparing my old 2 10" SE's sealed off 1200 watts vs my single 12" d2 sealed off 1200 watts. I only care about SPL to the ear tho Mics do nothing for me.
  19. roadfly.org gives free webspace thats what i use
  20. that would be very very awesome man. when do u think ud be able to get that tool?
  21. cant really say how much louder. but u will be happy with it. and it willl sound better.
  22. d2's are dual 2 ohm subs. so u need to wire to a 1 ohm load for the 1k watts out of ur amp. yes that is plenty of power. im not sure if they ran out of 15's already i wouldnt be suprised. Hell i just want my 12" !
  23. let us know how sealed sounds vs ported.
