  1. Okk I don't want a start up a huge fight of where you can shoot and not. I can and have shot on my property for years. So that's not a concern of mine if I can or not. We will gut and cook our kills no matter what gun I will use. I am not going to use the .223 for deer hunting since it seems more ineffective compared to my shotgun. Also it would most likely just wound it and then lose it. If I feel the need to shoot deer with an AR-15 then I will get a new upper for a .308
  2. Just got into class I will reply as soon as I get out!
  3. You don't need amps or speakers and might hurt yourself and others. Probably don't know how to properly calibrate them to the highest level of standards either so you shouldn't get them. Come on man, don't be so rude to people. You wouldn't want to be talked to like that would you? It's fine. I can see where he's coming from. There are stupid people out there that don't know how to use it and can kill themselves or others. I do have my hunter's saftey permit and have been shooting all types of guns since I was 9. I'm not a first time shooter. I didn't take any offense to that btw!
  4. Near Monroe. The actual town my dad lives in is Maybee. It's between Dundee/Milan and Monroe. We have 20 acres of my dad and grandfather's property next to each other. We hunt rabbits, squirels and deer. We have our own shooting range too. We've been doing it for years and we are good friends with the neighbors. They don't mind.
  5. Not sure exactly why, but I've always like the AR-15. I've never shot one though. Me and my dad are going to cabelas tonight to look at them and talk to the people that work there. Maybe tomorrow we will go to a gun shop where they have them. I want to shoot it before I buy it to make sure I do like it.
  6. Saw those and yes some say they are. I just sold a bunch of car audio stuff so about $1000 as of now. I do still have more to sell so I would have more though if needed. Obviously I don't NEED it, but to me it would be something I would enjoy a lot. I really like shooting and have the property to go hunting for small game. I will not just shoot to kill. My dad taugh me that if I want to kill an animal I have to eat it.
  7. So I've been going over the idea of getting an AR-15. I have a remington 870 and have been shooting my parents guns all my life (AkK-47, SKS, Ruger .44, shit ton of shotguns and handguns lol) so I do know how to use a gun properly and with safety. I sort of got the okay from my mom and stepdad to get one, but like with anything I buy I always do plenty of research. I'm 19 and the 870 was passed down by my dad, so this would be the first gun I actually buy myself. My stepdad and dad will surely help me find the rifle for me, but they have never bought one or really looked into it so they don't know much like me. Although my dad was in the Marines, so he knows the gun. Is there any specific brands I should stay away from? I know people will say this and that brand is the best, but I'm sure most of it is subjective (like car audio). I have been doing some research and found that Colt, LMT, BMC, and Windham Weaponry (WW) were said to be high quality ones (with other brands I didn't mention). The 2 I have really been eyeballing is the Colt and WW. Also many people were saying to build your own. They said it would be cheaper since your not actually buying the whole gun pre-assembled. I really want to learn how the gun works and know how to take it apart and put it back together without thinking. I will treat this like a baby. My use for the gun will be for varmits behind my dad's house along with the normal target and plinking (at around 300 yards max I guess). People were saying to get a 16" barrel for that. I am not really sure the budget I have since I want to get a quality one and do it right the first time. If it means I have to save a few more weeks or whatever I will. So if anyone owns an AR-15 and has any advice on what to get or what to look for it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  8. Get the OFC. It's way better. Also look at welding cable. It's cheaper than car audio cable and does the job just as good.
  9. Do you have the experience and knowledge on how to put 4 15s in a car like that?
  10. Or better yet buy one icon and put it in a sealed box(since it'll be cheaper) and then order another 15 when you have cash. Then get the box built for both. This way you will have a better setup. Sometimes you have to buy in pieces to get what you want.
  11. If you go that route there's always great conditioned sa 15s for an inexpensive price. Was your plan to buy the sa15s new?
  12. I am very sorry Danny. You have my prayers!
  13. What vehicle is it going in? Are all you goin for is a hair trick?
  14. Ill say that it's suprising how loud this 12 can be. I've showed it to people who don't what I have and they are shocked to see its only 12 lol
  15. I might have a ssa Zcon 12 for sale. If your interested we can work something out.
  16. Why not just build a crate for it? The Zcon is a great sub!!
  17. I cut the wire ends and then put the wire in the hole of the terminal and flatten it with a large hammer. It doesn't come off at all. I've done this for the past big 3s on my 3 cars and 2 of my friends cars and works great.
  18. Some how the transaction of the card that was declined went through a month later when I ordered 60ft of 2/0 ga from welding supply. I'm just trying to get my money back from this second order and also help some ssa members. I have a 60 ft long piece of 2/0 ga so your big 3 will be cut to the size you need. Just measure each run and I will cut it to that length and add the terminals on the end. The big 3 should be done on any car with a system or a lot of aftermarket accessories. It allows for better current flow and helps voltage drop. If you don't know what the big 3 is it's upgrading the wires from: The positive terminal of the battery to the alternator positive. The negative terminal on the battery to the chassis (frame). The engine block to the chassis. The best way to know how long you need is to get a rope/string and find the best/shortest, then measure it out. Make sure it isn't buy anything that moves or is hot. Also use zip ties to keep it from moving near those things. If you need help figuring out where these things are on your car and which is the best place to do it I can try and help you out as much as I can. I'm asking 50 shipped for each big 3 set.
  19. Happy birthday to a great guy!
  20. Why not wait another week or how many you need to be able to afford the 2 ssd 15s? How much over your budget are you?
  21. Yea the icons if you can get a little bit more cash.
