  1. I would probably go with what sounds best to you. It may be not as loud but it is in the correct size box. Are you sure you couldn't fit 2 12s or a single 15? The first real build I saw when I first started out was a single 15 bl in a grand am. Then he switched to 2 bl 12s. Although he could of not had the box the right size for them.
  2. Maybe trade and add a second btl? Is that an option?
  3. You're not listening to what they're saying.
  4. I told you man lol I bet you can get even more gain by doing something else too!!
  5. If given only a fs of a subwoofer, I'm pretty sure you can't tell the sound of it. Kinda the same thing with the efficiency. Just because it has a higher efficiency doesn't mean it'll play louder. I hope someone will jump in here to explain that. That is what I think though. There are many knowledgable people on this forum. Like I said before, if you make a well thought out thread and provide as much info as you can. These people will be more than happy to help.
  6. I'd file a claim and have them pay for your new one. Well only if you paid for insurance.
  7. I just put ring terminals on the ends and connect them to the battery posts. You don't have a lot so you'll be fine.
  8. Get some pics up when you get them installed!!
  9. I'd suggest something along the lines of 2 sundown E series 12s with a hifonics amp since you are on a budget. It's not going to be a crazy loud system but should definitely bump! Just make sure you have a good built box.
  10. It isn't just those 2 pieces of information given by a company that determines the loudness or sound quality of it. It's honestly a combination of A LOT of things!!!!!!! All of those t/s parameters are given for a reason. When designing boxes you use them to model a box a can get an idea of how it will perform. Also the box placement, port placement and port placement also heavily influence the output. It's funny you post this because I am still unsure about all the t/s parameters. I was going to post a thread asking what they are and what to look for when looking at a sub. I have no idea what some of those means. I'm still learning and we all are learning. None of us here know everything lol No system is the same. One crazy loud system in one car may sound like shit in another car. Box plays a very big part in the system. It can make the "best subs" in a shitty box sound horrible but a Walmart sub in an amazing box won't sound too bad and could even be overall better than the better sub in shifty box. This hobby/sport/passion is all about trial and error. You won't know exactly how loud you will get. You have to go out and do it!! I mean you can get a estimate of how loud you will be, but never exact unless trying. Too us your post is very ignorant and kind of funny to me because I've been there when I first started out. I give you props for not flipping out at the comments people posted but asking why it was wrong and continuingly trying to learn. Some people here post threads and don't give any info so we can't help them and they act like such an d bag when we tell them we need more info to help them. Please read the forum's newbie rules. It'll teach you how to make a correct thread. Post a build log!!
  11. Alt sold! Pwx 10s and hu is still up for sale
  12. He wouldn't have enough money. He only has 500 total for budget. I'd still say mess with the box first. What is your current box like right now?
  13. You are all over the place haha like mikemartel said All of the subs in the ssa store are top knotch. Also check out FI too. They have some nice subs too.
  14. Nice! I'm bad at taking pics while doing stuff lol
  15. Find out how to put more pics!!! I've cld tiled my front doors but looking to do the rest.
  16. Yea haha a sub or amp? What's your budget?
  17. Great looking box! I'm sure it sounds a lot louder!
  18. What's your budget and how much space do you have?
  19. I know before you could. I'm pretty sure you could. I think it's an extra $75 or something like that.
  20. Yea a lot of things to consider. I mean if you have the amp in a well ventilated area and have very strong electrical than you could run it at .5 ohms. I just don't see the extra gain in it though. ALso i'm not sure if OP has the knowledge to run the amp below 1 ohm.
  21. I should of said daily. It's really unnessary to run a daily system at .5 ohms. Running an amp at .5 ohms increases the current flow by a ton. It creates a lot of heat and can fry a system. It allows for more clipping, because it has more of an increase in voltage drop, IF electrical isn't adequate. You really don't get much more rms if you run an amp at .5 ohms compared to 1 ohm. It won't make a difference in output either. You can run an amp at .5 ohms, but there are people that don't recommend it for daily. I don't.
  22. Your right, but he shouldn't have the system running at .5 ohms.
  23. Ohh didn't realize that. It's going to be hard to get something with more power than those at 2 ohms and also be under 500. What's the rms rated for those subs? What's the box like? It's way easier to make your system louder by making a better box or trying different things with box than to add more power. It's also much cheaper. Edit: Those BRZ amps aren't that bad. I just hooked up my stepbro's kicker cvrs to the BRZ1200 yesterday.
