You could try to wire a relay for the turn on leads. I had a similar issue running multiple amps off HU remote lead, added a relay and it stopped.

This may be a shot in the dark, but do your back seats fold down? Did they fold down in your other vehicles? Again shot in the dark but worth asking to me.

AGM means Absorbed Glass Mat. It stores and quickly discharges current on demand. XS Power is a very good brand with the wattage ratings calculated for you already, but you will need a larger budget than $150 for any decent AGM battery.

Yes, upgrading your battery would help. I would suggest looking at some AGM models.

Why the mismatched amps? You should use one or the other, but not both on similar subs. As for that, it is all personal preference on what subs to use. The SSA store has plenty to choose from.

It is very possible the alternator was damaged in the wreck, or you have some connections that need attention.
This was assuming you would be using the same amp. That's my fault.
I do believe this is a relevant technical question.
I assume it is sealed as well. A ported enclosure would yield more output from either sub. I doubt one would be louder than the other in your box. How much power do you have running your sub?
Why not just do a basic sub setup with an enclosure separate from the couch? I think it would be a waste trying to incorporate a sub inside the couch. Your budget would get you a very nice powered 15'' woofer.
I stay away from those amps, but that is just my personal opinion.
