  1. Can't wait to see it finished. Very nice.
  2. It will take no time at all to burn up your stock alternator or seriously damage an amplifier or something of that nature. I gave him the amount of current draw with the t1500 in his electrical thread and suggested a larger alternator either way.
  3. 36 or 37 amps worth? I would just go with the t1500 because you are still going to have to upgrade your electrical either way.
  4. With the t1500 and the t400.4 your current draw @13.5v would be around 140 amps. That doesn't include any stock components. I would go with a larger alternator if it were me.
  5. The difference in excursion may be due to different spiders as well.
  6. You have more than enough reserve for your current draw. It does sound like a charging issue. If it were me, i'd test the alternator to see how many amps it is producing with your gear on at normal listening volume.
  7. Check all of your connections to make sure they are solid, especially your grounds. If you suspect your alternator is at fault, test it to determine if it is the source of your issue.
  8. Read and follow forum rules Educate yourself before insulting our intelligence Saying dumb shit will get you nowhere Pay attention to what they are trying to tell you Everyone is here to help Continue your arrogance and childish ways Time to hit the door Hope this helps get you the ideas you are looking for.
  9. A basic 4 gauge wire kit will suffice. A distribution block will work just fine for your two channel amp.
  10. I sure hope this gets resolved for you man. I am in the process of choosing different subs for the wall i'm doing, and the Death Penalties were on my list. I would also be very disappointed if they don't make this right somehow. It really does make folks hesitant to buy their products. I know I am now.
  11. You could try out some sort of heat tape. I don't know what else you could do. Have to make heat to keep the line temperature above ambient.
  12. Make sure your grounds are clean and solid. Lots of people overlook a bad ground.
  13. You'll know for sure when you get your amp and try it out. Try some test tones with and without the "cover."
  14. I like my AA Mayhem's. I have reconed them with BTL parts, they are basically the same I think. They are 12's and pound and get nasty low on 5k.
  15. I bet she likes bass.

    Sorry for the dirty car.
  17. I would drive to the closest audio shop before you have nothing to drive at all.
  18. Clamp test your amplifiers output.
  19. I wouldn't try that unless you have another amp to replace this one.

I am just gathering input because I am torn here. I know both subs get down, but this will be the last build in my car and just wanted opinions. I have yet to hear a Zcon, so I am just unsure.

I do already have the motors, but the Zcon's are looking good to me.
