  1. I was gunna have them on the out side...
  2. Alpine type E 12" box can be 25" wide and everything is not a problem. Any help I'd be very greatful. Iv tried google sketchup with no luck... it was too much work. So I made a 1.5 cuft box and was gunna putports on it.
  3. So two 2.75inch square ports prob would be too small to right? =/ I may end up just trying it and see what happens.
  4. Why does it get longer with each port you add?
  5. So on the port calculators it says like for 2 three inch ports the length needs to be like 24" or something.. Is that for both ports or is that as a whole?
  6. This isn't gunna happen any more... Plans changed.
  7. Do you think two 3" ports would work?
  8. Your correct. I changed the dimensions to about 21.5x10x something....dnt remember but it gave me just about 1.5 cuft. Sorry for the confusion
  9. Would 2 2" PVC ports be enough for one 12? It would be 10 inches long each but would be inside the box. I already made this... Just havnt glued all the pieces yet. It's 1.5 cuft not accounting for the 2 10" ports inside... Would this work or is it not enough port area?... I was a bit worried about it
  10. I already stated those are my inner dimensions...
  11. im making a box for 2 kenwood 12s. so far im kinda lost on how to make it but this is my design. 25x25x40 that will give me 3.5 cuft thats inner dimensions. i was thinking i put the port inside? the port would be 25x3 and it needs to be about 45 inches to make it 33hz. what dou you guys think? am i off to a good start? bad start? and input would be greatly accepted.
  12. Defiantly mostly because I'm 17 and can barely afford any of this so I'm encouraging you to get it=D haha but nice build man! And I love fi also!
  13. Alright so I'm making a box for 2 kenwood 12s. I'm thinking 1.5 for each sub. Idk wether to do a single chamber for both or separate chambers?.. I'm leaning more towards one chamber and one port. I want it tuned to 32 hz. This box is going into a trunk so size isn't a big issue. If anyone could make me a nice design I'd be very greatfull. Thank you.
  14. Ok let us know, its just really hard to play the guessing game with enclosure measurements, unless somebody else here has that exact vehicle and knows off hand. Even then we don't know how much the dirver is willing to sacrifice. haha the driver dosnt care about space. i almost convinced him to wall his car. but i dont know much at all about that stuff and i dont really have that much time to blow.
  15. yeah i would go measure it right now but its not my car... but ill try to get the numbers tmrw. or maybe he can txt me them but im not sure. ill ask
  16. I mean seal the seperate speakers from eachother not a "sealed box" just if there would be any confusion
  17. Alright well my buddy has a misubishi eclipse with 2 12" alpine type E's in it right now. He ordered two more today. So I dont have any dimensions but I want to make a ported box tuned to 31 hz. And probably 6 cuft. But should I make one big box? Or should I seal off the subs?
  18. He lows hit way harder with the windows down. With the windows down it's just louder all around. But very much so with the windows down. But I want to say iv read something about he port size has something to do with it or thee box size.... Not sure
  19. thats supposed to say alright. not sprint...
  20. Sprint so I have a 06 tundra access cab with a fi x12 in I believe 2 cuft ported box tuned to around 32-34 maybe. But why do I notice such a big increase in "volume" of the sub when I put the windows down or open a door? This is probably a noob question but I'm just curious. Thanks. Btw it's running on a 400rms powerbass amp. It's where the back left seat would be. Standing up with the sub facing drivers seat and port facing the passengers side. Thanks
  21. You guys all talked me right out of that Idea real quick! Lol but thank you for all the advice! Now to think what I really want to do.. Damn lol
  22. So not much money in it? =( lol well what would have good money in it about car audio stuff?...
  23. Thanks everyone. I'd really like to install and build enclosures... The shop that's close to me, the guys there are dick heads... Btw the name is "Total Auto Concepts" in wareham ma... Like I'd go in there and try to talk with them, get advice or whatever and they Are just dicks about it. Like he sits behind the counter on his computer and makes it seem like I'm bothering him... Every time unless your asking to buy an amp or some subs he is a dick... So any way to get it out there that I make sub boxes? Or I install speakers head units amps whatever... Thanks
  24. I'm 17 and about to go to college how do I make car audio a career?
  25. Okay thx
