NOOB Question
I am running active off the Zed Draconia and not the Headunit. I will give this a whirl. Thanks.

NOOB Question
Is it possible for me to run my back door speakers directly off the head unit if I'm already using the rear RCAs for my front stage? I know some people don't like the rear speaker thing, but I have people in my truck all the time, plus I like it that way.

AA Products (18)
the cart software actually shows a number higher then the actuall products available. It has to do with the way the products are catagorized. Cube Cart bug really. I'm sure that answered your question, anything else I can help with? I think that's it.

AA Products (18)
Maybe this is just me.... but the AA Icon in the store menu has (18) products available but there are only 12 in the store. Is this a tease or an actual number of products that is going to be available in the store. Are the AA poly's (carb's) going to be part of this? I'm just curious. What's gonna fill the 6 motre slots? Mids...... more subs...........wiring........caps.......? can anyone help? Thanks.

Three-Way system in the future
The sub would have to stick out from the door about 2 inches or so if I remember correctly. I realize this is quite a bit of a project now and I'm re-thinking this. This is why I like posting my thoughts, that way smarter people can help me avoid huge headaches. The project is on hold for now. I'm seperating from the military and movin' back to DFW and money is tight. I got some eqipment I'm thinking of getting rid of (nothing special) couple of Alpine subs, and some MB quart stuff. I guess I may post it up on the FS thread.

Ascendant Audio is up to new things
This has been in the works for some time. I know that Chad and his crew are extremely excited about this new move. This will definetly shake things up in the Home Audio realm.More for less is a real understatment. Take some time and read through all the website has to offer. I'm sure you'll be impressed. Would love to hear thoughts about Chad's new company. http://www.epiksubwoofers.com/

Which coil wiring setup should I use?
Electricity is pretty dumb and won't really know the difference in the end product. 1 ohm into the amp is 1 ohm (am I wrong?).

pics from the Carpathians :D
Great PICS!! It's something special to be able to track your family back that far (no pun intended). Wonderful pics.

Movin'
I'm moving to the DFW area in the next 6 months . Just wanted to know what good shops and people are out there. I may need a little inspiration and guidance. I went to school at UNT several years ago and I'm moving back to the area. Would just like to know where I can go for some good deals and hang out with other stereo junkies.

mounting sideways?
No Problem. These amps rum pretty cool and I don't see any problems with them getting too hot (running them on a 2 ohm load). I have two Mini's tucked behind my back seat in my Ext. Cab Sierra. To make certain that heat won't be an issue, mount them with the heat sinks in a vertical position. Good luck.

(2)Mini's Strapped to W7 or (1)Deuce
Go with the Mini's. Much more flexability and the Mini's are designed specifically for sub work.

Install: Line Out Converter
I grounded to a Seat bolt, is this OK. Sorry for all the questions, I wanna learn more and not make the same mistakes in the future. Thank you!!!!! You guys rock.

Install: Line Out Converter
Not sure if I know what you mean. With everything hooked up I get a hum. I disconnected the RCA, and I still get a hum. With the LOC grounded and not grounded I get hum. Its' a wurble and distorted sound coming from the sub. The sub still moves as it should, but it has that weird noise along with it. None of the other speakers are getting this sound. I know it's not the sub because I hooked it up to my truck and worked fine.

Still need help.

Install: Line Out Converter
I'm getting a midrange pitch through the sub and it makes a squarble noise also. What do I do.

Install: Line Out Converter
I thought I did have a good ground. It's the seat bolt that I connected to. Sanded down the paint till it was bare metal. The hum is not that loud as I remember, but it is still there. I will check the ground to the LOC. Would it be better to have it with the AMP ground or seperate? Thanks.

Install: Line Out Converter
Finally got a chance to work on the LOC and things aren't going well. Here's where I'm at. 1. Tapped into the right rear speaker to connect onto the LOC. (Amp is all connected minus the RCA's and the wired on the LOC). I connected the 2 wires (+, -) one side of the LOC and got nothing. 2. I jumped the (+) and (-) to have all four speaker connection working and boom, boom. Everthing was working. 3. So I thought I should tap into the left rear spaker and connect it also to the LOC (left channel and right channel) Did this and got nothing, Only a very slight signal. Why did this happen? Even when the sub was working with step 2, the sub had a slight hum to it and I did have to turn up the gain and boost quite a bit to get a decent sub sound. I disconnect the RCA's and still had the hum. I'm thinking it's a bad ground. PLEASE HELP!! I'm really frustrated. This is my first LOC install.

Ready to buy
How important is it to have crossover capabilities on the HU as opposed to an aftermarket amp. For example, a Zed Draconia or comparable amp. If I'm running a 2-way up front and have the crossover capabilities on the HU and the aftermarket amp, which would be better. Sorry if this is a loaded question.

I have that same setup in my truck....Remember. I do like the XT. The tweets will probably be mounted up by the side view mirror. There's a plastic trim I can glass and point both tweets towards the center console. This is just a theory. I will have to mess with different places before that, although I think they would look sweet in that position. I'm looking for a really good system in the car. I would love to bring my home system sound into the car, but I'm not willing to spend that much, nor would it be worth the effort (for me) with the acoustics of a car.

Happy 4th of JULY Debut
- Ready to buy
I will probably stick to the 2 way up front. I may be willing to go three-way in the future, but let's stick with the two way for now. Is there another 8" driver that you may like? I'm not limiting myself to just the driver's that I listed. These seemed like a good choice from what I've read over a Zaph. Thanks!- Ready to buy
I'm ready to start this bad boy. This will be a totaL SQ install (I hope). I'm starting from scratch. The Altima is completly stock. Here are the plans... Front Stage 2-way or 3-way (if it will work) up front. Components that I'm considering are as follows: Tweets Peerless 810921 (big flange , but I think I can work with it). Vifa XT 255C5G (already have a pair) Seas 27TAFNCC (heard great things about it, but not a real big fan of aluminium tweets) Woofer Seas CA22RNX 8" Peerless SLS 830667 8" I can fit and 8" in the doors with a bit of modification. Power? Not sure yet. I'm a big fan of Zed and would love a Draconia (already have on e in the truck). I'm considering the Sundown 4 channel. I have an RF 4 channel that I like OK. HU Not sure yet. Suggestions? Sub Stage I have two 10" Arsenals That I will take out of my truck and put into the Altima. Gonna get a 12" Arsenal or a pair of Assasins for the truck as a replacement. Enough for now. I'm open to most suggestions. Budget? up to $80 each on the tweets and woofs for the front stage. Sorry if I left out any other info. My listening needs.... I'm a jazz musician. That's what I do for a living. I'd like a good strong midbass, smooth mids and clear highs, and a substage that blends well with the upper end. Now don't get me wrong, I do listen to other stuff Alternative, 80's rock and very little rap. I do like to cranl it every once an awhile. What do you think. I really would appreciate the advice. Thanks. - Ready to buy
