RECONE IS HERE!!!

Well my water pump went out so spent all day putting a new one on. Was going to try to finish the box today but stuff happens I guess. Last month was new trans. Last week was plugs and wires now water pump lol. Ill try to get a little farther tomorrow and get some pictures up

When I get my recone do I use the glue i bought with it to glue down the spider. Surround and the dustcap?

Bout to do my first recone in a couple days. I'm nervous :/ lol .... any tips? I have read a lot and watched a lot of videos on it so I'm pretty sure I got it

Yes ill get more up. . . Them and the doors Was my first time doing it. Rewired everything. Got some crossovers. Got the front stage sounding pretty good waiting around for my recone to get here lol. Ready for some bass to keep up with it now

Thanks guys.... o yea I know how the zcons are . My last single 15 zcon was in the mid 40s at 31 Hz.... and that wasn't sealed off... cant wait to see what these 2 zcon 12s with more batts .twice the power and sealed trunk wall can do :)

That's an awesome way to blow a new subwoofer. Sundown even says do not play your new sub at rated power until the break in. I ran 3k to a zcon 15 a couple days after it was reconed and didn't seem to do anything...... it forsure did get a lot lower after a few days though

In my experience subwoofers can get lower and louder over a little time but wont mess up or anything bumping hard when its brand new

Trade a zcon motor and cash for it . I just don't wanna wait for another recone lol

na its coming right out of the motor, i put my ear up to it to find where it was coming from. this is a real downer, i'll prob have to sell the sp4, the whole point of the install was to be invert mounted. Where on The motor? Well I can't say exactly for sure, but it wasn't the sound of coils scraping, it seemed like air noise or something from the coil moving in and out, its probably a normal sound that no one hears when its mounted regularly. Its just really obnoxious inverted and its not going to work for this install. fuck. I'll prob free air it a bit tomorrow to make sure its not box related. What is making you not run it regularly in the box? Its aesthetics, the whole install was for looks. Also the box isn't deep enough now, about an inch shy so I'll have to make a baffle which will also now mess up the carpet.. my god. Just make a couple mdf rings to bring it out a little. . . If it sounds better in the box that's the way you should go rather than just looks

Probably wont be a noticeable difference if everything else is the same

Got to finish up my enclosure now going to be a "trunk wall" little over 3 cubes each tuned about 30-31. . . Around 5k give or take a little
