  2. Here is another one of my favorite videos. LIL JOHN'S van with 16 12 SSD's running off of 8 Kicker 1200's. Heard this one in person jammin old skool style Sunday at SBN's. It was very clean and played the low notes effortlessly. All FI video's are welcomed here. That's what this threads for. Keep'm comin' Joe Rod Does anyone know what CD this is? That chit rides LJ's truck was gettin' down - Another impressive video , Thanks Lil John Not sure what Shawn was playing there - but check back. -Maybe he'll chime in ~418FIs
  3. Let's drop all known FI video's and links on this one soon to be sweet thread so we'll all have access without looking all over man's creation First up Daytona Spring Break Nationals 2007. The settup is 8 15" BTL's dual mags with 8 Kicker 2500's modded I think. Watch this video and then ask yourself what a triple mag should be capable of. This video is very impressive and the owner of the van is none other than our own Shawn Fleming. FI BUILT TO LAST I'll be back with more. Let's see how many you can find. An FI scavenger hunt. 1st place-A cool thread !!!!!!!!!!!! Ready set go!!
  4. Well come on everyone find those Daytona SBN vids - figure out how to get them on your computers and share with the rest of us!!! PLEEEEEEEEEEASE
  5. Okay well thanks to this site and Shawn Fleming I am definately going with 418" Q's off a RF4000 or 2 RF3000's
  6. Hey Shawn put me down for two can I give you the money on Monday. We'll be happy with them exactly how they are. Although I would like to get our names on them ~Joey
  7. Thanks for calling me today Shawn. I just found out I'm off on Monday so look forward to meeting you then. I wish the Daytona SBN's went on 51 weeks out of the year. C'mon let's hear about them SBN stories or share your videos. SBN 07 was the SHIZNIT. OLDSKOOL is BACK!!!
  8. How about some links to any of these amps. Who's selling them at the best price And the manufactures links. Let's have a thread where all of this is centrally located so access is easy and you don't have to google everything everytime. Plus all .com names are not so obvious. Thanks in advance Joe Rod
  9. I have officially decided to go with 4 FI Q 18's in my truck and 1 15" FI BTL in my town car. Special thanks to Shawn Fleming for his guidance and a cool attitude. Look forward to meeting you soon. Now if just everyone could own an FI sub wouldn't the world be a happier place!
  10. Them Things are MOVING!!! Shawn you have 8 15 BTL's right? Do you have any left and what's next? Thanks in advance ~ Joe Rod
  11. What about video's. Here's one of a dude w/ a badA-S setup at 2007 SBN Daytona Beach FL. I'm torn between the Q's and SSD's 4-18s Daily
  12. Leaning towards 4 SSD 18s with options and a Rockford 3000 or 4000
  13. A U-haul truck with a Toyota mini front end
  14. I feel now like I should get the SSD's if they have 21mm that should be more than plenty. The last subs I used in this box only had 12mm excusion. 4 Punch 18s 250RMS each single voice cool. Wouldn't the SSD's give me the best chance at making the same bandpass work? But built to the right TS parameters. I really liked the way they sounded 15 years ago. Thanks, Joe ROd
  15. Where can I find IA?
  16. Stang When I first saw FI subs I looked at them and said probably the FI in HI-FI. I didn't know for sure - Thanks for clearing that up for me. But if anybody asks what F I stands for I'll stick to eff eye for slang till something better comes along. :-) Thx again NDMustang65 for a quick response! Joe Rod
  17. tejcurrent - What size are your BTL's? How much is a Memphis 4K? Thanks in advance, Joe Rod
  18. Sign In for anyone checking out FI from elders to newbies or newbie elders like myself. Let us know if you work for FI any affiliation, have FI products, or what you want from FI Before I drop my own name I must give an elders first so I think the guy who earns that spot is Steave Meade and if you havn't checked out his site do it. www.*****.com Obviously he is an FI fan and Reppin that chit hard. My name is "Joe Rod" and I'll be ordering 418's in the next week or two. Havn't decided on the SSD's or BL's yet but they will be in a bandpass enclosure of an 88 S10 Blazer Let us know who else is out their Thanks JRod Scott your the man!!!
  19. FI came hard at the Daytona SBN's. Got my attention quick. Cannot wait till next year!!! Thanks FI Joe Rod
  20. So I'm wondering if I can hear some names dropped of the bigboy amps 2000 watts and up. be nice to have a place it's all on one page. Thanks in advance Joe Rod
  21. lj, Well big Mike new Kelly Boy too. As a matter of fact he is one of the friends I spoke of above that I got to share a moment about during the Glowoff of the Daytona SBN's. When I met Kelly we we're both at sign solutions in 1990 - he was getting an Orion sticker blown up to fit the rear window of his Leer snugtop on his daytona yellow 83 S10. I was getting Rockford Fosgate sticker's blown up on my daytona yellow 84 Tbird. He had the Lanzar 418s in a single reflex bandpass and I had 2 Pro Fosgate 15s in a ported enclosure. He had an Orion 2250sx Beast and I had the Mosfet Power 1000 by Rockford. Well I'll tell you that sitting in my own car Kelly boy just drowned me out. But I had just seen the light. I then had direction. 418s are very impressive and although I ended up with a much bigger system, I always missed the 418s. Just something about them and that was with ancient technology. With what we have now i just kinda wonder if the SSD is what I need only cuz it HAS to be almost 10 times better than the 250rms punch 18 of yesteryear. But still I could only imagine the BLs with proper power. The 418s was so impressive I just want it to be as good as it was 147 was max but with doors shut on the B&K but it was tuned really low and played the LOW notes better than anybody with a still punchy upper bass. Thanks to anyone who cares to read and to lil john stay cool!!! Peace Joe Rod Tell Mike I said Hi
  22. If anyone decides to go with FI - Your choosing to have the BEST. just my2cents Then again there havn't been to many top stereo's to listen to music on at SBN in the last 10 years. Some but not alot. FI showed up with the QUAD all day and I, an oldskooler who thought SPL had killed our sport, have witnessed the second coming. I was very excited to say the least at the best Daytona SBN's in over 10 years thanks to everyone reppin FI. You made the difference. It woulda been the same old thing - we find that one truck hear it walk around until we're back at the same truck. FI brought back the old days where you actually have something to do all day besides charge batteries for a coulpe farts - I mean burps. I leave the drags to the NHRA but if that's what floats your boat more power to ya!!! Don't mean to knock anybody but there used to be a day when you could go to a show and see loade up 2 orion vans the rockford reps, kicker vans with 618s 918s and 1218s and you just took turns listening and comparing by music by the likes of Techmater PEB or MCADE which is well over 100.00 on ebay. You'd also hear the original Telarc Digitals Bachbusters sounding off the intro to Tocatta and Fugue in D minor every 5-10 minutes and see the crowd start heading that way or who remembers Ron C's Trendsetter and LTrimm's The car's that go BOOM. In the past 10 years its been alot of I'm charging my batteries or I can't turn it on with the door open. No good to me. The only thing I remember about those people are they couldn't demo music for the crowd so why the heck would I remember them anyhow. Steve Meade looks like he's having alot of fun doing it his way and I think I know it's a better crowd pleazer to showcase a product. OLDSKOOL lives through FI with the technology of today My truck is the Red one check it out at myspace.com/ronrico418. I check it every couple weeks. Mainly focused on this forum right now and I also fly RC jets so I use an RC forum also. Drop a comment and lemme know how you feel Thanks in advance, Joe Rod
  23. Why does the FI Q have 27mm xmax and the BL only 21. Does this increase with options like the BTL? I'm sure the numbers are correct. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Trying to research which subs to use for my application. 418s in a single reflex bandpass. I heard lil johns 1612s ssd's and they were very smooth. I've been leaning towards the BL's myself but cannot for 1 second knock the SSD's. just a little confused on the Q's Xmax being the most in the lineup. Thanks again - Joe Rod
  24. Thanks for your prompt response Scott. I'll have some numbers for everyone soon - Joey
