  1. i found the crossover specs a while ago let me go look for them, i remember they were in a good place to cross over a 6" with a tweeter
  2. I don't care what the website says. Don't use that driver up to 5khz. I believe you , I was just mislead by what the website says, I thought it was too good to be true. I just want my car to blend well with my xcon my bass is fine right now I just need to give my front stage a whole re working so thanks for the help.
  3. lol alright I didnt think it would be a bad idea, I was thinking of using a mb quart crossover until I can get one that perfectly blends the midbass and tweeter together
  4. Available in both 4 and 8 ohm Rated 200w RMS Usable freq response 76-5100hz this is from crescendos website of the pwx-8
  5. the mids I was going to run them on bridged channel at 8 ohm a piecs thats 4ohm at 250w , and your right the tweeters will only see 80w each
  6. my system is just a daily set up, im looking for the best midbass im interested in sundown neo pro 8's , selenium 8's , crescendo pwx-8 .... If I could afford it I would get ScanSpeak revelator 7" . so basically im interested in the best budget midbass , and tweeters for around $300 together
  7. or maybe even crescendo pwx-8 they say there usable fq is up to 5000 hz and they say the ft1 ideal cross over is 3400hz?
  8. the tweeters and midbass will be run of a soundstream STL4.500 so midbass will see 250 and so will the tweeters. I will have gains on 0 because of my 4v headunit
  9. its going into my kick panel near your feet I want alot more midbass, factory for my car is 5.25" and Im going to just have ethier 8" or 6" cut out and technically run IB, I was interested in super tweets cause right now i have mb quart reference tweeters and there not loud enough. cause of my xcon ........
  10. ok then now lets change the thread what would be the best tweeter to match up with a selenium 8" midbass
  11. would a crescendo audio pwx 8" match with a ft1-se?
  12. What would be the best mid bass I could get for the ft1 "supertweeters"? I was thinking of going 8" but I dont think the ft1's would pair up with an 8" so maybe selenium 6"?
  13. I personally believe my ssa xcon 12" sounds better in a ported box then my old idmax in a sealed box. but I blew the Idmax and I didnt want to buy a recone for 180. and before the idmax I also had a alpine type r 12" the ssa xcon and idmax are in a whole nother league trust me. also recones for a ssa xcon is only like $110 so its much cheaper to recone.
  14. yea ill get some pics and videos when i clean up my install I couldn't wait to hear it so I through it in. Probably this week or the next cause I also ordered some things for my front stage and some better wiring so ill take pics when Im done with all that .
  15. is there a website or somewhere where i can read up on cross over points and passive and active crossovers I understand the basics of passive and active but I would like to know some more .
  16. ohh ok I understand what your saying. so why do you say it will sound worse if I use the mb quart crossovers? they should " mate" right?
  17. Ive found the tweeters I want and im not looking for suggestions on tweeters just midbass and good crossovers I can run , The crescendo ft1 se will look great in my door.
  18. No I dont have processing at the moment maybe in the future but right now I was thinking about keeping things simple . so ill just have the holes widened to fit a 6.5" and probably buy some cdt hd 6 , as for crossovers I was going to purchase the ones for the ft1-se there like $10 each and then just leave the mb quart crossovers for the mids. think that will sound fine?
  19. Ok so dont put rear speakers and just get the super tweeters in the front, thanks for the help. now I got 1 more question the mb quarts feel like there lacking in the midbass idk if thats cause there in the kick panel or not do you guys recommend anything 5.25 for good midbass or would I have to go 6"?
  20. so you think I can run a regular tweeter and then crescendo super tweter in each door, how will that sound? sorry if im not making much sense I dont really know too much about front stage and tweeters thats why im asking all these questions cause I dont want to go through alot of different speakers trying to find whats sounds best when I can just ask you guys and get them.
  21. well I just received and hooked up my la-3000md , and let me start off by saying I used to push my single 12" xcon with 250 watts and people who heard it thought I had 2 12s . Now that I hooked up the la-3000 md its just insane how it flexes my roof and doors , it turned my xcon into a monster and Its in a bmw I can even imagine the destruction in a honda or economy car would be like
  22. so what do you recommend for the 3" cut out a fullrange speaker?
  23. well im just saying 100 rms cause thats what my amp will be giving them I have 4v outputs on my deck so gain will be set at 0 . I was thinking 2 beacuase there is a 1" tweeter hole and a 3" so i was going to stick 1 crescendo ft1 in each hole on the 2 doors and have gains set to 0.
  24. yea maybe your right ill probably just run 1 set and see how it is if I need it to be louder ill just get a set for the rear. Im ruining mb quart 6.5" mid bass but its in the kick panel not in the door. and the tweeters will be runing around 100 rms , I have a DD-1 to set my gains.
  25. damn well I think they will look great in my door so im gonna go ahead and buy them and ill right up a review and take pics.
