  1. #1 on the list...lol...Am I the only skinny guy here or what?
  2. Thanks man. Me either. Updates will be VERY slow from here on until I get the truck off the ground and running. That should happen in the next week or so.
  3. I threw up a quick 10 sec vid of the wall up in my build thread for everyone...
  4. Thanks man. I made a quicky vid of the wall running off a RF [email protected] ohms.... I can't wait to get both 4k's on it.....Mad hairtricks anyone? :cool32:
  5. What are you stalking me Travis... I am on most of the car audio sites. LOTS of good info here, and it's flame free..
  6. Welcome Travis.
  7. I'll take that as a complement. Thats the plan...I will probably bassrace it a few times once I get everything done....just to keep the hounds at bay wondering what kind of #'s it puts up. But I prefer demoing to competing Thanks guys
  8. yeah he had his ears plugged when i was demoing my truck and im not even loud......................yet Haha... Same here man. I just chose the mini this time around. As a matter of fact, the wife is already scoping out my next project vehicle for me. A 55 Chevy Pick-em-up. I just have to finish this one up first... Low miles...I'd jump all over that if the price was right. I say wall it up...you can always take it out if ya don't like it I'm not even sure of what I have got myself into. Thanks bro...I am kinda trying for the whole package thing. You have a pretty clean truck there and my vote goes to the 4-runner. It's my dream setup too... I have to finish the truck before I will be able to get some vids up. I should have it up and running by the end of the month and I will throw up some vids then.
  9. Thanks man...If ya dont like Ext cabs, do a blowthrough Thats what I did with my previous system. Thank you Scott. Nothing wrong with the quiet and lifted I should post up some pics of my neghbors CJ that I helped him build...As far as having it finished in a couple of days, it's asking a little much of me...lol. Are you coming down for SE Nats in jacksonville? What about the best of both- loud and lifted! I know what you mean about #s, but I'm all about that low end. Hope to see it at a show one day. I'm thinking about driving down to florida for a show a month or so from now (getting married this saturday-honeymoon for a few weeks, dunno when I'll be back.) Now that I think about it, we're leaving out of port canaveral for the cruise, then bumming around florida for a while. Anyway, great job. I agree about the low end. And congrats on the wedding. Best thing I have ever done Thanks Nick. I was checkin out your Celica build last night and wanted to say your swap came out really nice. Now you just need to get ya a Minitruck and put those fab skills to GOOD use
  10. Thank you. I will post up some vids when I get everything up and running. Thanks Wes. It's taken me a few years, but I am finally doing what I want with it...Instead of doing what I want on other peoples vehicles..lol Thanks Shawn. I appreciate the compliments. When I get it on the road, I will have to take a lil road trip to Gainesville and let ya get a closer look. I'm hoping she throws up some good #'s, but that is not what I built it for...I really just want a rediculously loud and reliable setup...and to scare pedestrians
  11. Thanks bro. It's a tight fit to say the least...16.5 cubes after displacements, 220 sq in of port area, with a tune of 30HZ.
  12. Thanks guys Do it!!!!!Do it now!!!!... For real though, If you want a listen, I will be at Import and Truck Bash in Indy this year.
  13. I wanted to post a link for all those that were interested in seeing my build log. It's here on SSA, and obviously in the build log forum I hope you enjoy :cool32:
  14. I still got to finish glassing the outside, make my trim/cover panels, and do something about the port...not sure what I want to do there. I hooked it up to my daily driver, which has a RF T2001bd in it, and gave it a test fire. All I have to say is wow.... This thing is going to be Retarted on 4X the power.
  15. Thanks guys. Here a lil bit of an update. I attached the port and finished up the top of the box... I made a little brace for the baffle..lol Done with my glassing on the inside of the box and the brace is installed A little glass on the outside Port painted up, subs installed and wired up also.
  16. Ordered my 2 Mediums tonight via Paypal...
  17. Both sides are now in and I put 45
  18. Thanks man. Here's a lil update; The baffle is made and the holes routered out I threw in the three that I had sitting around for sh1ts and giggles...The fourth is in my daily driver on a T2001 for right now. I knocked off a little bit of the drivers side headrest so I can get the full effect of the port...lol The passenger side will get the same treatment.
  19. Thanks every one. To answer some questions; BB is lighter and stronger than MDF....That, and the sawdust from it won't make me sneeze uncontrollably for the next week. Yes, I Did add a few beads to it on the inside. Also, the brace was plug welded to the sheet metal from the outside. More pics in a little bit.
  20. It's been fun to say the least.. ..Speaking of pics.... I got the back wall cut to fit
  21. If you're wondering what type of wood I am using, It is baltic birch. And that is where I stand at the moment. Enjoy
  22. I added some smaller braces inside and started on the floor Some more floor in I added a piece of plywood over the brace, and filled the cavity between that and the sheet metal with expanding foam. The back wall should be pretty stout now.
  23. I made a brace for the rear wall and for the enclosure to bolt to. Welded it in..
  24. My previous system had a blowthrough. I filled that in with some 16ga sheet. Trimmed up some of the excess stock sheet metal inside and seam sealed it
  25. Where to start....well, here's the radio part I cut out the 1.5 DIN opening, glued the trim ring and put a rough coat of filler on. Sanded down and threw on 2 coats of slick sand Sanded that down and did a test fit before urethane primer and basecoat/clearcoat Urethane primer sprayed, wet sanded, and basecoat/clearcoat applied.
