Here's my setup, its not much yet, but keep in mind, i'm only 19 and have had to buy everything for myself, subwoofer is in the planning. Yamaha NS-45's for the front *the black ones* JVC's running as bi-amp on the front channels chitty hitachi's with replaced woofers and rca bookshelves as the rear. my tv is my pride and joy, my amp is meh, pioneer vsx-1015tx. 120w/channel on 7 channels, or 150w/channel @ 6 ohm. ( tempted to run it to 4 but i doubt it would survive) (excuse the weed on the table )
well i modeled it with winisd and it said vent speed would be well within acceptable ranges at 6 inches, but theres no way its acceptable for two. i wish i could find a flared 6" port, i don't have the tools to make one myself, and that sucks.
I'm looking to build a serious quality HT sub that will really hit the lows, and with a FS of 15.4 hz thats enough to keep me smiling. i was thinking along the lines of a rectangular box with a 6" port and roughly 15 cubes tuned to 20 hz, what do you guys think? gives me a miniscule bump in the low 20's but keeps the f3 at ~17 hz. i was thinking 1" MDF with a double thickness front baffle, but am not quite sure how to brace it. (i can't wait for the IXL drivers) http://www.techytoys.com/store/product.php?productid=4501 thats what i will be using for an amp, The buttkicker 1100w @ 4 ohm. (i like the idea of a separate sub amp instead of the plate amp setup because i can then put my sub in my trunk and just hook up the speaker wires when i want serious bass in my car
Well, im new to posting on this board, but not new to reading the threads, figured i'd give it a shot, heres two logos, one would work great for t-shirts, hats, and stickers, the other is on a sub, not much difference other than color, but i'll let you guys decide.
