Wanted to say good morning, cause it's a monday and I know how they can be. Thought I would share a pic I took this morning.
  2. Please anyone. Know anyone that does? What about farenheit. T-7001MHR? Can't find reviews anywhere on monitors.
  3. I don't know if you guys even talk about video here, I did a search but didn't find anything. I was wondering what are some good quality 7" or 6.5" headrest monitors? I am putting one in my dash and have been looking at dei and sony. Can't find many companies that make a plain monitor w/o all the buttons on them. Eclipse has a nice one but not shipping till may or june and clarion's are nice but has buttons on them. I was looking at farenheit but I heard they are not good quality and customer service in near zero, and this was from one of their dealers. Also looking at visualogic or something like that, at a dealer but they come with the headrest only. any help would be nice, thanks. The directed is a rvm700 and the sony is xvm-h65
  4. Hey guys, I have a dxz925 clarion deck and wanted to know about the filter on the deck and my amp. Is it all by ear? I currently have the deck lp filter off and the amp around 60-70hz? Hard to tell with the generic dial on the amp. Is it better to have both on? I have a choice of 50, 80, and 120hz on the deck, and 50hz on up on the amp. I notice the subs sound weird when I turn the amp xo up to much, don't know how to describe the sound, but I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about. So would you recommend me trying? thanks. btw the gains are about 1/2 way up. sealed box, so ssf is off.
  5. Sounds like a busy "hobby"
  6. Why yes, I do woodworking for daily grind. You?
  7. That's all, enjoy your day.
  8. hello, positron. rogerb here from s.i. welcome.
  9. ewww, sry, didn't know that pic was so big..
  10. Very nice, I do woodworking for a living. Nice choice in wood. I like tiger maple with clear finish. Have you heard of duravar or magnamax? You can get them in different sheens and get a very nice finish when sprayed. Here is a pic of my stands I built out of walnut and a maple inlay.

TOOOO many choices, not sure what to do yet.
  12. ahh, I thought that was just the e8 you were talking about.
  13. Newest pic.
  14. I am working on custom center console for my dodge ram. Here are some pics if interested.
  15. thanks, Yeah, I know that would be measuring resistance but since the actual ohm varies so much during play, would the .5 load be ok for a 1ohm stable amp such as my memphis? I don't want to get a bashing about memphis, but what do people think about memphis amps? I know where ever you go, I get different answers and some people are so biased, I never know what to think. Using that program, what would "sound the best" in my small cab going sealed then?
  16. you making subwoofers? SHHHH dont let the cat out the bag just yet. LOL im throwing the idea around, i have a machinest talking to his drafting guy whos talking to his engineer about the idea. but as of yet its just ideas. im going to start with something simple and see how much it cost first. then go from there and MAYBE just MAYBE start biulding subs or just supply baskets to sub companys. wish me luck jamie Do you work at eD? I see you have components by eD and they aren't even selling them yet.
  17. wow, I just checked out your page. That is a nice set-up. I bet it will sound great. You must be putting alot of money into that system, not sure what everything goes for over there, but Looks good. The amps sound like they would be nice to. Good job. and good luck.
  18. Wow, that would be nice. Was this a present?
  19. good ?, I put in a similar question myself. My amp puts out somewhere around 1100w @ 1ohm and was wondering how to wire up 2-12's. Only way I can see to wire is to 2 or .5 ohm, but was wondering what the actual ohm reading would be on that .5 wiring when using a ohm tester? Hopefully one of the guys at si reply.
  20. If you like tight puchy bass is the 1.5 to big? I have a box I made, I spend alot of time on and don't want to build it over. It is 3 ft^3 shared space for 2-12". If it's to big can I use spray foam to make space smaller? It is in a single cab 02' ram, with subs firing into back of seats. Not much space to work with, Would it sound good?
  21. Hey, I was wondering what the cones are made of? It looks like a pulp paper cone? If so, I take it they are holding up ok? Was it picked because of the light weight? Also wondering how I would wire 2-12's if I decide to go with them. I have a memphis mc1000d and wiring it to 1ohm gives you about 1100 w. So with 2 ohm d.v.c. I can only get 2 ohm and .5 ohm right? Does anyone know what the actual resistance is for the d2's wiring to .5 ohm. Like does it actually read .8 or like .3? curious because all the subs I have had never read exactly the correct ohm load. I don't want to have to buy a new amp to go with the mags. thanks.

Hello everyone, newbie here. I am 25 and from IL. I have been in car audio since I was 16. My first set up was 2-10" kicker comps with a punch 40 and an eclipse deck, not sure the model now. I have been looking at the d2's as I have seen them at comps, so I thought I would join, since I have been reading the forum anyway. Roger. so another member.
