  1. Yes, regular XP will only see 3g whereas XP 64-bit will read up to 8g IIRC. I run XP, and I have 3g....but I am still gonna put more in cause it is dirt cheap right now.
  2. You guys need to think larger http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16822152102 Get 3 or 4 of them and call it a year!!
  3. yeahbut yeahbut my OCD tells me LCR should be the same :-/ Agree, but you have to work with what you got.
  4. Or you could just buckle down and follow through with what you were doing? Kick the girls and pinch the boy for me.
  5. Good luck getting a hold of the x-ovr parts and boards. I have tried. The SDX7 from CSS is suppose to be a "replacement" for the extremis, you might wanna look at that.
  6. Damn, I need a turntable.......and my dads Vinyl collection. He has over 10,000 albums (or at least he did at one point). Most of them originals from the 50's, 60's and 70's. He has the whole collection of the Beatles, all of them are from the UK IIRC. I have been subject to some decent music in my life and I thank my father for all of it.
  7. chit, gimme a hundo and tell him his xmas present was a donation to the Make Jaime Rich Fund.
  8. That is what I run/am running in my cars. I get/got it for the cheap.
  9. When I did the big 3, I ran all new wire. There is no reason to run it parallel that I can think of. What size wire are you planning on using for the big3? I used all 1/0awg. I have used copper under the hood and have never had an issue with it. the reason to keep the stock wiring is that with both wires the total resistance will be less than either wire individually True, but we are talking a minimal value. I mean, a wire at .01ohms in parallel is .005ohms. Is that gonna make that much of a difference? And, no, I am not being a smart ass. 14v X .01 = 13.86v 14v X .005 = 13.93v Maybe it is an over oversimplification the subject?
  10. What is the amp mounted to?
  11. I have used Knu wire on multiple occasions, and have never been dissatisfied.

  13. If you are looking for a front stage, the RE set of comps in the group buy it one heck of a deal.
  14. I have to agree, where is the bracing in your box? It looks to be a tight fit, but did you mount the box to the frame of the car? Clean the glue when you apply it, drips are for squares.
  15. If you would have covered the opening with some vinyl, it would have looked 10000000% better.
  16. A little off topic. ragnaroksq, I read your sig, and that is me in a nuttshell. Need more midbass and midrange. To the OG poster, why did you mount to sub crooked? Maybe it is me and my symmetrical approach, but hey, to each their own. Now, show my the junk in the trunk!!
  17. I have MCE, IMPO, it sucks when used in conjunction with a cable box. Stand alone, it works great. On screen menu, DVR functionality, the pausing of live TV and stuff like that. It will not pick up scrambled channels (HBO, Skinamax, Showtime, etc.). The only problem with MCE is you cannot buy it, at least you couldn't buy it for a long time, things may have changed. I have it on this PC if you wanna come and play with it. Sweet, I'd love to you are a whopping 10 minutes from me. We can set it up. The only thing I will have to do is plug in my cable to the PC and it will be gtg.

  19. Speaking of RAM. I just bought a 2G upgrade for my PC for $50 (after $30 mail-in rebate). I thought I would tell you where in case anyone else is looking. I think the sale goes on till the middle of the month. www.microcenter.com It is a brick and mortar place by my house, and I know they have a few more stores spewed out across the great country.
  20. Yes, DVR is the way you want to go. Like said above, all you do is tell it what to record, and bam...done. The newer units boast about 100 hours of HD recording time and 500 SD recording time. You will need a HD or SD box depending on if you use HD. Typically, if you buy one for say, DirectTV it is gonna cost you close to 300 for the box. My cable company charges me 14.99 for the service and 3 for the box. One thing that I have seen is Multi-room DVR. It is where you have one box set up to record and you can watch from any tv in the house that is connected to your Sat/Cable provider. Cool feature, not sure if it is something you would use though.
  21. I am with you on both points. Right now, I run a p4 3.0g, 3g of DDR2 6400, 1 250g WD HD and 1 500g WD HD, ATI x1900 video card and on board 5.1 audio. It also has a DVD burner and a DVD-Rom, on board Gig NIC. 22" WS monitor, also hooked up to my 46" LCD. That is all I can think of in the PC.
  22. Why not just use a DVR?
  23. Oh yea, well, I set off alarms with the exhaust of the firechicken. No Fi though.
  24. Oh....finally.....wish I had the money now.....hmmm....dad will need sub.....maybe....
  25. Find yourself a set of XXX comps. You will be good to go.
