Space is limited. I have a reg cab truck subs would go behind seats.

what do you guys think about these two subs? im looking to get a pair. of either i like both sealed and ported boxes. which is a more all around sub lows and highs. which can give better hitting lows? and can take a beating. i have a saz 1500d that ill be using at 2ohms

so a larger ported box is like a sealed box, that they both need less power to push the sub,and pushing it any more will cause damage??

I have a 12 Q D2 w/BP power. and just got a SAZ1500D. how much rms can a stock Q take daily. how about w/BP Power. i know Fi recommends 1000. just think it can take more. just want to see how much it can take to adjust the amp properly.

what should the resistance be on the D2 models? i tested mine to day and i got 1.4ohms per vc.?is this right

ok i got it. so i had it at 1 ohm decided to try 4ohms. then used the dvm and test tone to adjust it, now it dont clip. sounds good. all i need is a new amp to give it 1000rms

I AM A go readjust now with DVM and 50 hz test tones and see what happens

I just got a 12 Q D2 with BP power hooked up with a JL 500/1. in a sealed 1.5(20*13*15.5) after sub displacement. is the amp to little for the sub? i set the amp to JL specs. and then i get clipping. i've used the same amp on others subs and get better sound and more power out of it. but with ported boxes using the same JL specs. how should i set it with a sealed box?

i have built boxes before,but not from scratch, i've used blue prints from CA.com and others but, i want to build one from scratch, do all the calculations and stuff, just to know how to do it.

what did you guys you to build your ported box? i mean how did you figure out port length and tuning? what programs did you use or equations.

whats the max box size for the 10? i was thinking 1-1.5@30 is it the same for the 8?
