Try restoring the iphone. Whenever I have an issue or other people have an issue with anything ipod/iphone related, i tell them to restore it and once they/I do it works.

I have mine running from my amp. I had the same problem with it being so bright at night so I just wired in a switch so I can turn it on if I think I'm getting a big drop. It's nice to have the VM because there are other things in my car that take a lot of Voltage and I'd like to see where my car is running at a lot.

If you're taking the screen out of the panel for the ipad that wont work. Your best bet is to just buy a screen/monitor and scrap the ipad.

I want to do this as well. I don't know if you watch Soundman Car Audio on youtube but they do this quite often for people. I know Scosche was going to sell a mount for dashs that allows an ipad or another tablet for the headunit.

Oh I am. I'm also looking to buy another amp instead of using the Kicker DX1000.1 that I have right now. I was almost thinking a Sundown Audio SAX-1200D. I'm debating if I want to give pretty much the exact 1250 it wants or give it less.
