Bad spot on coil?
Ok my car is actually at my friends shop and he took them out for me and said that on two the spiders were burnt by the leads so he covered the leads and still the same issue occurs.

Bad spot on coil?
That sounds like a for sure culprit I'll take a look at it tommor and see what happens

Bad spot on coil?
The leads are externals.

Bad spot on coil?
Yes, I never read a dead shortbb

Bad spot on coil?
Stetsom 7kd one ohm I have even measured it while it was playing nothing out of the ordinary

Bad spot on coil?
Cant be it still reads a dead 2 ohm as it should

Bad spot on coil?
The amp only has a low pass. It's set to 50hz it's the lowest it can go.

Bad spot on coil?
Series/parallel each coil is ohm ohm with distribution blocks.

Bad spot on coil?
I have an issue with my amp protecting at a high output. The subs are wired to ohms in an 8 cube enclosure tuned at 38. When I take it into high volumes it gets louder without distortion. When it starts getting to its peak my amp throws a short circuit protect. Is it possible that one of the coils have an issue? Or possibly amp? The setup is four fi ssds on a stetsom 7kd. Also coils read exact same on each eight coils.

Time for a new enclosure, wanting to gain a couple Dbs..
Ok, so i can lose a cube or two and keep my efficiency up? if that is the case than ill be in great shape but I'm struggling to figure what sub/port placement will benefit me best.

Time for a new enclosure, wanting to gain a couple Dbs..
The vehicle is an '89 mustang (hatch). Im wanting to keep the enclosure at right around 10 cubes to keep my imp rise at about one ohm but want a different port placement. it is possible that this may just be a wall but im looking for the best gains, what should i do? the build is with four FI SSd 12's thanks guise.

Stetsom 7KD protection issue
you're very correct about them being sensitive. but i think that I'm starting to understand this. The damping factor is killed when playing music at loud volumes and because of that the impedance can fall below the nominal load? Impedance can fall to the nominal load, which in your case is .5 and too low for them amp. ok, ill wire it to two ohms and see what happens! now I'm butt hurt because I'm "that guy" that couldn't run his 7 K at a half ohm

Stetsom 7KD protection issue
I finally installed the stetsom 7KD (1 ohm 12 volt) and it ran very well but just yesterday it began going into protect. It throws a protect with one blink and the manual tells me that its a short circuit or below impedance.I'm running the amp at a half ohm nominal. It starts doing this when i roll into heavy bass. I triple checked all of my connections and everything is solid, voltage is in mid 13's when it cuts off.

Stetsom 7KD and fuse questions
Maybe i could give circuit breakers a try? or would that not be in my best interest?

Stetsom 7KD and fuse questions
For now it has single inputs, but I plan on putting in some dual input terminals on them. the closest battery to the amp will probably run 24-36 inches.

Stetsom 7KD and fuse questions
I was considering all of the "if" situations which is why I ask.I was hoping someone had some experience with this amp. But a 300A fuse huh? the maximum current draw on this amp is 480A and I plan on running it at a half ohm... so after rise it may see as low as 1.4ish Thanks.
