  1. i tried sending it via email but it got rejected... Too big of a file I guess, lol.
  2. i know wasnt it, lol At first i thought the lcd of the phone was just dirty but no... haha. Wish i had my EVO already, i wouldnt be under these poor conditions, hehe.
  3. yea, the calibration feature is there if u need This meter to be accurate with Another meter. If you are just using this meter, it's calibration method is that of the t-lab already.
  4. just took the lcd out for a nice 7min review compared to the Termlab. Sorry, but my cell phone video is fuzzy but i do announce scores even if u cant see them. Tests were done at many power ranges. http://s303.photobucket.com/albums/nn147/shizzzon/?action=view&current=VIDEO0002.mp4
  5. http://s303.photobucket.com/albums/nn147/shizzzon/?action=view&current=VIDEO0001.mp4 Here is proof that compressed MP3s do not interfere with test tones. If to the ear isn't audible and software analysis of the two shows no difference.. the only thing left is to put them on the meter!
  6. Well... i have some unfortunate news.... The meters Came in already... but i do not have your alls meters?!!? the reason i do not is because they have been shipped! hehe Did i get anybody? lol. B-chi, check PM shortly. All domestic orders have been shipped, i am PM-ing everybody their numbers.
  7. make sure you brace the hell out of that wall.
  8. i doubt it, there's many and many more to come...
  9. in terms of test tones. I use tones to set crossovers and for burping. So... for a debate about quality comparison... i can test the difference of a raw WAV vs compressed MP3 on the meter. The two separate tracks show they both peak exactly at their designed calculation and at the same amplitude so the only thing left is to use a measuring device to see if their is a real-world difference in output pressure.
  10. no, i'm gonna keep it a secret, hehe. Ok this is what's gonna happen- ALL packages will be insured for the amount paid and ALL packages MUST require signature upon delivery. All who have paid will be sent confirmation number showing it has been shipped. Oh by the way... transit times for people's packages located within the USA will start moving next week!
  11. before a mod sees it, u better edit your subject header because if i was one, this post would have already been deleted
  12. ur alt should be internally regulated as Dc Power frowns on externally regulated requests. why? Because external regs they currently have bypass the temp monitoring system and they do not want that. You will want a VCM if one is ready for your vehicle. You will need to have this alt hooked up to 16v batts ONLY! Any charge wire ran off this alt needs to go to 16v batts FIRST and ONLY! Connect amp(s) that are 18v capable to your 16v batts. I do not know the accuracy of this but i have heard that the remote turn on lead should be from a 16v source as well and not from the head unit.
  13. I just wanted to let everybody know that there will be a 1 yr warranty for these meters. I will personally test each meter before it is shipped to ensure they are in working order. If there is any warranty request WITHIN THE USA, contact me directly. Anybody else outside of the USA, it will be quicker to contact SPL-Labs. Any warranty request deemed to be reasonable will be issued a new meter at NO charge. Meter must be shipped back to me for inspection in case this happens to determine reason of failure. Anybody who is going to be using these meters for MECA, PM me for special hybrid headrest stand that can fold out into a driveby stand as well. so 2 stands in one! these stands are still in their early stages so i am not implying they are ready right now, but if anyone wants one, I will finalize a design and prepare it for shipment.
  14. Ok, time is commin soon hopefully for the meters to come in. I just wanted to let EVERYBODY know that their meters will be shipped based upon what address is in your PAYPAL info. If you have moved since you set the account up, PM me with your new address!
  15. lol, you're not comprehending it right, check what the subsonic filter range is on the kicker amp.
  16. ooh.. nice one, i didnt see that commin.
  17. You need bass to get a girl wet........... sounds like she likes the DJ to get her wet more than you she just usin u as foreplay!
  18. i dont know. i like things to last forever or at least as long as safely possible. I still have an original AQ HD3 made in USA back in 2003 still on me. It's been in 2 different installs i've done and in the hands of another competitor. Accepted power from 1500 up to 6000w and still is fine. Subs aren't cheap so i wont go crazy with them.. even if u think i am, hehe.
  19. whatever setup u get next, i would start to push yourself to monitor your setup better because the same thing can\will happen again. i haven't accidentally damaged a subwoofer in 7yrs and my previous setup was running 7x worth of power than recommended. You have to know what you have on hand and how it will react once your sub(s) start moving. Spider rip is caused from moving too much. That means one of several things- Internal volume too big Subsonic not up enough Demoing your vehicle with the trunk open Scorching your other sub from the amp you have clearly seems like hellacious clipping. Not all subs are the same. I've purposely stress tested some subs before in full clipping for over a minute until they start to cook bad without failure. the smell is outrageous. you know what it smells like so be careful in the future. Any sign of stress means turn it down immediately.
  20. bigger doesnt hurt but isnt necessary. typical 12awg or even 14awg is fine.
  21. i understand what you are saying but from using the software to analyze it i see no difference. I will tell you what though. I'll do a test if you think this will determine the answer to this speculation. Would you consider it fair if i made a single tone, one uncompressed and one compressed to 320kbps MP3 and burp it in a vehicle doin over 150 right now? Will this suffice speculation? I'll have the guy run it 4 times, twice in each format to make sure the numbers can be backed up. This test can be done either this weekend or next weekend.
  22. we still have about 3 USB and 3 LCD meters left to purchase that are left over if anyone wants any. Price for USB is $330 shipped Price for LCD is $380 shipped For international request, pm me
  23. Don't worry.. I will have TONS of information for users about these meters once everything is setup and we do an extensive review and test of these meters.
  24. i've been hosting the largest collection of tones for over a year now. They are compressed to 320kbps MP3. I've compared these to the raw form before compression and see no change so that's why they remain at 320kbps. I've got all the tones that are missing plus hundreds more. Anyone is willing to get them for free if they wish because i do not host them, i let another company do it for me so a free giveaway. Just check my sig, hosting site is always up 24\7. I also have 4 custom sweeps all recorded at -3db so u do not cook your coils. 1 sweep is for subrange, next is for midrange, next is for high range... and the "Ultimate Sweep" is the entire frequency spectrum... over 17min long. Geared to test your setup in precise detail.
  25. Meters have just arrived in America! It will only be a few more days before orders will be shipped out to you. Stay tuned!
