if i go, yes. Everything has already been torn out of the car. However.. i'm researching some smaller-style setups so i can test how my car loads from scratch all over again... I'm gonna try to get REAL REAL loud without a wall first, that's why i'm givin myself plenty of time.

if it's in a trunk, u can't efficiently port 4 12s... it just won't happen. for ported- Many trunks like the following when trying to get loud at the driver seat- sub back, port back(port on far passenger side) sub back\forward, port to the passenger side. Those are 2 typical efficient firing orders. if u fire forward, everything, it will only be efficient if the baffle is flush with the trunk opening and sealed all around. I'm assuming you're goin for loud as hell so hope that helps. You NEVER want to squeeze equipment into a tight space, but rather use the volume effectively so your design is more efficient

it's called overly F'in stupid. I've seen this car on youtube before i believe.. if it's the same car he claims nobody is louder than he is, lol I bet thorshammer is louder than he is with just 2 10s in the trunk. I never see him get his car metered so i look at it and roll my eyes. Cone area doesn't mean anything when u got small ass motors, choked air space, massive cancelation problems ALL on a single amp..

The Official SPL-Labs SPL Meter Group Buy Thread
I want to make everybody aware than next wednesday is the deadline! After wednesday night, we will be sending the list of orders for precise estimate pricing. Remember, i said the price may change from what is quoted in the group buy due to stock inventory but we will try to maintain group buy pricing posted here firmly. He has already told me that some orders are NOT in stock... Some orders will have to be made once everybody pays.. A user has requested to have his RTA bandwidth widened. This order will be shipped out with the rest of the back-ordered products. When the group buy is over, We will be pm-ing every one of you to send money. The quicker you send money, obviously the quicker we will order everyone's meter. All international shipments are still subject to a $55 charge on top of group buy pricing! Do NOT forget that. There will be 2 separate shipments for everyone's order so we are trying to keep prices down in terms of not increasing them. Make sure you are prepared to pay once the group buy is over so everyone can get their meter ASAP. WE WILL BE PURCHASING EXTRA METERS so those who do not make the group buy will be able to receive it from the U.S. quicker but NOT at group buy pricing! It will still be cheaper than direct pricing though.

1 Subwoofer Hot other 1 cool?
Based on what u said, sounds like one of the coils burned up or the tinsel lead snapped from too much current. That nasty smell.. was is a strong, sweet but electrical smell? A lot stronger than your typical stinch from subs with a little aftersmell to it? That's the smell of burnt coils\leads. The fact that u say that oen sub is moving more than the other fits this speculation perfectly. If i were you, i would NOT crank it up until you verify this and fix if necessary. If it was just the tinsel lead, solder it back on.

Sad, but good...
many mainstream companies state something like if you install it, it's covered by 1 yr but if an authorized shop installs it, it's 3 yr warranty. Companies that we deal with online don't have that type of warranty policy.

I am going to jump off a cliff!
I've read on the internet that spray painting a port hole is a good idea? I don't know what it's being referenced to as a good idea but don't go researching itty bitty things that is geared toward competitors. When it comes time for u to build it, it's easy and someone here or I can tell u the specs to build it to.

Wiring for subs and speakers?
I dont use wiring kits so i'll just tell u what size wire to use 16awg wire for your mids\highs is plenty of wire! 12awg wire is plenty for your subwoofers 1/0 cable for your AQ2200d 4awg for your Alpine PDX-4.100 Fuse within 18" of AQ amp with fuse of 150-200A. Fuse within 18" of Alpine amp with it's onboard fuse rating. Because the Alpine amp pulls a lot less current, it may be wise to use an AGU or mini-anl fuse holder for this amp to save on money for both the fuse holder and the cost of fuse if it ever pops.

I am going to jump off a cliff!
Common list of recommended tools and alternatives- Table saw (or circular saw with a straight edge clamped next to it for straight cutting) Router (this is for cutting perfect circles for sub cut out. Or... a jigsaw, not as perfect but definitely close enough) Compass (or make your own compass out of spare wood, nail and pencil) Drill Titebond II for your wood glue Clamps (or other heavy weights to hold down pieces during curing time) That's basically it.

ShiZZZoN's Build Log
yea.. uh.. i may not be using THOSE bags... We been doin some calculations... i might shrink the concrete usage some but it looks like EACH of the 6 walls is gonna weigh around 400lbs a piece! That's a little overkill so i may modify the calculation because i dont wanna add another 3000lbs to this car... even with airride.. Car wouldnt even move, lol.
