  2. Oh my god... You know... after looking at this 4 channel amp... it makes me glad i own a sundown 100.4
  3. aero's are easier to remove but it looks like your port will be made out of wood. You will need to either form a lip around the entire port so you can bolt it to the box or you can make a massive port area and change tuning by plugging part of the port. I do these with different designs but depending on the size and how the box is made, one of the 2 methods usually cant be used due to space, it's either one or the other.
  4. i like new, this gonna be an interesting show, hope u show. Hell, i'm still tryin to break 54s with my wall with 3 15s... i got over 20kw of power.. i fail, lol. the wall isn't braced too well really... my first wall.. guess i gotta start somewhere.
  5. I believe ya, Derek. Watch out though.. there's someone i know in your class that isn't light-hearted about competition so u better bring your world class with you to the show if u come because this show isn't for the lighthearted so no sandbaggin.
  6. box wouldnt be big enough and your port area is too small for such an install. A Single 6" Aero would be the BARE minimum i'd go with.
  7. um... NDMStang IS Fi... looks like u heard somethin 2 weeks ago.
  8. pay no attention to the input\output section of a distribution block. That's just for reference for their view of how it may be used. the entire block is conductive so it doesnt matter which side is the input.
  9. i think u need to go buy a dmm and shut your sound system completely off from here on out until you can verify that your electrical system, your alternator and your starting battery are all in good working order before troubleshooting your sound any further.
  10. i've witnessed\personally dealt with both companies. DC is the way to go. I should know.. i should have an early birthday sometime soon.... Gotta keep it secret but if all goes well.. my car is about to break a record in the alternator market
  11. Bazooka only makes 2 amps that are rated at 500w and BOTH are only 2 ohm stable. You better stop running it like that or you could damage it.
  12. i can always remove it. I am allowed to build out 0.75" from the door and leave the panel off so it is legal. I have been thinkin about doin that... just using a LOT of duct tape every time i install it so i don't have to clean up silicone every time.
  13. the subwoofers. I need it rigid, but within reason... This is my daily driver so i can't permanently do something to the door that would render normal functionality of the door useless.
  14. sounds like your power line is grounding somewhere. Take your dmm, set it for continuity, touch probe on power wire and other probe on negative battery terminal. If u get ~ 0 ohms, your power line is grounding out somewhere. If it's not, pull the amp out and put it on a bench power supply, the power supply in the amp could be damaged but hopefully unlikely.
  15. i guess u guys are implying that placing foam to the door without any back pressure(no chamber to fill) that it will basically do nothing? Is that what you guys are getting at?
  16. actually, spl sludge would be for my application but it's not marketed yet and i dont even know if i want any.
  17. I just got done applying SPL tiles to the outer shell and inner frame of the door. The door itself sounds a lot better but now i would like to prevent the door from flexing within reason. I have the idea of rolling the window all the way down so i can then make a form with cardboard in between the window and the outer shell of the door, then just fill it in with expanding foam. I'll do probably about 80% of the outer shell so it doesn't interfere with anything on the far ends of the door such as wiring or door locks, etc... As far as i know, besides that, i just gotta make sure i do not block the drain holes on the bottom of the door and i should be good, right? i've never attempted to brace the outer shell so severily before so i need to make sure i'm not about to make a mistake.
  18. on my bloody phone, i'll get them later.
  19. Just a heads up to those thinkin bout usin SPL Tiles- WEAR GLOVES. I am almost done putting on the first layer of spl tiles and my hands are bleeding everywhere from fine slices off the foil. Blood, sweat and tears is what adds dbz, keep it hush hush
  20. i dont think we've met before? That's an INSANE DB score for DB2.
  21. 112 Park Avenue Frankfort, KY MECA 2x Event - $30\$25 member Judging begins at 11am.
  22. so.. sounds like they are trying to profit off people by promoting their products with ridiculous prices in hopes that people think higher is better... Their specs seemed mighty questionable from the get-go, was curious as to why the price was so boasted.
  23. this company must be new new new new because their about us doesnt even work yet. I'm assuming they are american based... but i'll just sit back and wait. Funny how the sponsoring program deducts an instant 50% savings from the retail price. That goes to show you how much money they plan on profiting...
