  1. it's over 2gb of custom mp3 music and largest collection of tonessweeps out there.
  2. Sometimes i use my tongue but that's on the really extreme setups.

OMG! This is awesome! Now i have to treat you different.. lol.. haha So where you stayin at next weekend?
  4. check batt voltage several hours after turning off vehicle. If it's in the mid to high 12s, is it stock batt? Still using SAE posts? I had a fight with my stock battery that started acting erratic when i finally figured out the posts formed a layer of resistance that's invisible to the eye. Resolution was to get a terminal bolt post batt and never had the problem again. Another symptom i was getting when this was happening was the clock in the car or radio controls randomly reset.
  5. if there's anything i can do the weekend i'm there, name it! I can bring whatever so let me know beforehand... You have a week to think about it, Also, i do not mind working on yours or anyone else's vehicle as i had such a large support team that formed fast for me at Slam. Even though things went south, I can and will always return the favor as car audio is a hobby i wont turn away from and one install to another is all the same to me.. the goal is to finish.
  6. And Chop.... Too nice! Thumbs up for Chop guys!
  7. lol, either way.. i need the following- A BIG ASS Chalkboard, some chalk and an eraser of course Laser pointer Lab coat Some markers in all sorts of colors A projector And only 1 chair Why only 1 chair? Because When i get there, I'm going to have Senchez sit in this chair the WHOLE WEEKEND while Uncle Mad Scientist instructs and teaches(or how they say it down south), learns Senchez everything he needs to know about this hobby so that when he leaves, he will literally feel like he lost his Car Audio Virginity and become a man.. A man with 20kw on tap and a means to do some damage... Not KOB damage because my instructions are not zip tie shitty, but destructive damage on a level that watching your door fall off is the goal and not an accident.
  8. hehe, now, i'm coming up there to have a good time.... Uncle Sean doesn't owe child support does he?
  9. Remember.. i am intolerant of certain foods. But for general cooking- Steak, Burgers(without bread), Hot Dogs, Potatoes, etc.. I can eat. Basically, on the ingredients, if it contains Wheat, Rye or Barley, I will turn into Bowel Man! And That Shit Aint Pretty!
  10. Oh yea!!! Here i come.. Thanks.
  11. hmm.. either you or chop PM me his address so i have a destination in this city.
  12. When i get off work Friday.. I am heading straight to Indy and to do what? Hell if i know.. Let the decisions begin...
  13. if u got a smartphone and a couple bucks, u can watch the game live on many apps out there
  14. Its about maintaining voltage, not for amperage. Dc voltage is critical when power supply ranges usually only go from 10-16v And we only run in the 14v range to begin with.
  15. Both companies have great customer service. Neither one of them is shady. Both of their support forums are on here and other forum(s). You can love the 0.5ohm warranty all you want but if you plan on using that to your advantage for music, you'll have it in the shop more than in your vehicle. You should never play below recommended ohm stability on music or with anything for more than a couple seconds if you like your equipment to last. At the very least, if you do not care about my recommendation, make sure the coils you get are able to wire down to exactly 0.5 and not 0.35.
  16. as long as you do not account for port displacement, you are alright. Since his port is completely external, he will do trial and error tuning himself so impossible to advise proper tuning without being there. As well, i hope the tuning frequency chosen doesn't alter your recommended enclosure volumes. What i personally do for SPL only is to build a box larger than normal with a larger than normal port. IE, if i were to build a box for a 12, i'd build it using 4cuft net with 120sqin of port. I would then, by trial and error, start slowing displacing volume AND measuring peak frequency response for ALL volume changes. This takes a LONG time, but in the end, you get the right volume with the right tuning.
  17. sounds like the regulator was goin out in the other one or some sort of loose connection on the harness pins that's on the alt itself.
  18. 12' sticker, that's a pretty big sticker. $12 is very good price. I'm surprised it weighs so little.
  19. It's possible the electrical can do it, it depends on your usage. I used to run stock alt, 2 XS batts and 21,000w of power. Measured 1100A of current draw on burps and around 760A on music average. My usage allowed me to sustain this system for 4 months before i tore it out. now, you did mention FULL potential... That would mean to drive this amp at 18.5v. that would require 2 250A alts with about 8 runs of 4/0 off them, 4 power4 ground(2 of each per alt). You would then need 16v batts. Quantity exactly is unknown but 3 XP1000s would be ideal, if not 4-5 to ensure your voltage stays at 18v or higher.
  20. if i am ever in that environment, call the police.. There will be a slaying.
  21. So, where are we all staying at?
  22. Yep, Julian is right. I have a temperature chart which shows what AGM batteries need to be charged at from -20F - 140F in 1 degree increments. Basically, in the engine bay, anything over ~14.0v is risky. This is why i got my DC power regulator set to drop down to 14.0v flat when it senses high temps to compensate.

Unless it's Tri-capable which we know it's not. But questions like these shouldnt even be made.. The question is if the 8" sub is causing a loss of power to the 12" sub... Well, there is one simple test.. UNHOOK the 8 and find out.. What if we said no.. Then you'd never unhook it and be left confused til eternity. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. hook up another speaker!!!! get less bass
  24. there are competitors who use them in the lanes too.. People just like to use this as their base- They don't put out a clean signal at their rated power output. Well.. if they do or not, i don't know, i am not here to measure the specifics but like others, know of people who run them without problems... Hell, i even remember one time, lol, we took an ap3001d(stable at 2ohm) and wired it down to 0.45ohms to try and burp it.. We tried 4 different burp sessions. At full tilt rolling volume, all 4 times went into protect. We got a schematic which showed protect circuit kicked in at 1.32ohms and lower. And we clamped it dirty and was pleased with it's power to ohm ratio as well. If i could have ran 16 AP amps in my car i would have.. but no room, lol.
  25. there's a difference between not having port noise and not hearing it. I've ran 4 15s before in a wall with only 144sqin of port tuned at 29hz on 14,000w worth of amps. I never heard any issues. I then rebuilt using 3 15s on 21,000w worth of amps using 265sqin of port tuned to ~36hz and still sounded fine. My new build in progress is 4 18s on ~310sqin of port on 22,000w (0.5ohms) I highly doubt i'll have any audible problems again.... speaker wise, not my ears.. oh no.. hehe.
