  1. We at SPL-Lab strive to bring the customer new, innovative products to the market. Some of these products are more improved over what's currently out there and others just plain do not exist. But, SPL-Lab is not just a company aimed at marketing sound measurement devices. We are here to bring the customer, the market, what it needs, what it wants and what it's been begging for. What does the market want? Something to fill the gap. Something that just doesn't exist. Something that when you see it and use it will you see how unique such a product is that you possibly cannot function without it. A piece of mind you could say. Coming soon in 2012- SPL-Lab Smart Monitor This device monitors ACTIVELY within an automotive environment four key points in the customer's vehicle. AC Voltage AC Amperage DC Voltage DC Amperage Ranges- AC Voltage - 0-300v AC Amperage - 0-100A using TRUE RMS technology! DC Voltage - 0-30v(capable of 6v, 8v, 12v, 14v, 16v, 18v and 24v systems) DC Current - 0-100A using TRUE RMS technology! This device can be mounted in the driver's view to see AC and DC V\A in realtime. Ps- This will be fully enclosed and engineered to withstand the sound pressure abuse our meters withstand which is levels that can exceed 180dB! And do not worry about heat. This device will stay cool under normal operation. So, that looks cool and all but that's it? Just active monitoring? Doesn't seem so "awesome" to me? You are right! That is not everything! The device features Threshold Levels for ALL FOUR monitoring points. What does this mean? Example- Let's say a user has a 5,000w bass amp, a sub and some batteries in the back. Let's say this user has no idea what he\she is doing. That is ok! With basic knowledge, our device will help prevent catastrophic failure and even prevent unforeseen failure for those users that had no control over potential issues that can arise in car audio. So, the user hooks everything up.. User starts to adjust Threshold Levels. AC- Voltage - Do not Exceed 70v (5kw @1ohm ~70v\70A) This can prevent clipping if wanted. Amperage - Do not Exceed 40a (this is to help protect tinsel leads or coil). DC- Voltage - Do not Drop Below 12.0v (this is to protect overworking alternator and excessive discharge levels from your battery(ies). Amperage - Do not Exceed 100a (this is to prevent excessive cyclic current draw from low DC current devices such as an alternator). You do not have to use Threshold levels if you do not want to either! We have a Defeat option for those who compete to prevent our device from interfering! Amazed yet? There's more... The device will come Fully Portable! We had both customers and shop owners in mind when we engineered this. Fully portable means user can either permanently install it in vehicle or plug it right up via 12v cigarette socket and fine tune and monitor system and unplug it and pack it away. This device will be able to monitor your amp's voltage output and current draw from subwoofers to determine safe range playback when not installed actively. Shop owners can also monitor dc voltage drop during test run to ensure adequate electrical system before leaving. This device when used for the car audio market is comparable to take the place of a DMM for measuring ac\dc voltage, an Ammeter for measuring subwoofers current draw and a remote display allowing the user to monitor not just realtime DC voltage like other voltmeters but ALL 4 points- DC voltage and current, AC voltage and current ALL on the same screen! In the event any of your thresholds are tripped, the SMART Monitor will immediately kill the signal to all equipment it is monitoring. It will immediately re-engage once the signal is back within safe ranges which usually is 1 second after trip. This will let you know and see why it tripped and to let you know that something needs attention before catastrophic failure occurs in the near future! Here are pics of the sensors- If anyone is wondering how these sensors plug up to the Main block, it is simple. All sensors plug up using standard USB Cable. We wanted to use a cable that is very popular so if the cable ever gets damaged, the user can easily replace it without trying to locate a "specialty cable." And one last thing.. If you are not convinced enough yet, here is something else to think of- Ever wanted to know what your "impedance rise" or "wattage output" is at a certain single sine wave? With our SMART Monitor, you will, in realtime, be able to calculate the AC Voltage and Amperage numbers to give you the answer you are looking for. If our SMART Monitor says AC1: 46A 110V Then that means your Impedance was 2.39Ω Your wattage output was 5,060w. Active Monitoring and protection gives a lot more peace of mind that your investment is easily more protected than even before! For fun sessions and for personal test n tune, you are now able to measure actual impedance when testing with single sine waves for "burping" and measuring actual wattage output. Shop owners can now have a tool that they can feel more comfortable with using to know that the whole vehicle from front to rear is within a safe operating zone rather than relying on the customer to know exactly what he\she needs to do if they do not have our device installed. Our device comes bundled with the Mainblock with display module and 1 AC v\a sensor and 1 DC v\a sensor with USB cables and power adapter for car. RETAIL Pricing for this entire bundle will be less than our USB Meter. This is major news to be able to bring so many features for such a new device at such a price! You do not have to purchase both sensors if you do not want\need them! If you only need 1 of the 2 sensors, that will save you $50 per sensor. Do not fear though. We will gladly sell additional sensor to those who need replacements or add-ons to meet the 1 AC 1 DC sensor bundle. Mass Production begins at the end of next month... Do I dare ask? Who is ready for a Group buy? Any questions or comments, post them in this thread. We will create a new thread with Group buy pricing and Group buy dates when the time comes.

Your dimensions are not logical. You say ex height is 16.75" but internal height is 15"... that's impossible for 34" wood. Depth- first you say 24" deep but your port only goes back 13.75" "to the L". For one, if there is an L, we need the REST of the port length.. 2nd, that's also impossible as well.. If the port is 6" wide, then internal depth is 22.5" that means port length by itself would be 16.5" or 17.25" if you count the baffle. So, your dimensions are void of calculation.

i'm sure i could.. but we do not manufacturer nor mod nor make add-ons to cell phones other than our android software... What we or I am talking about is a pure custom board for a NEW cellphone, no add-on, pure new board. That is not our genre. Quit trying to get us to take over the world, lol. There is something you CAN do for yourself for future use... There are 3rd party companies and one in particular stands out, can't remember name but can find it quick if necessary. They make an external batt pack that's somewhere between 10,000-15,000aH. That's MASSIVE for a cell phone. In testing, they said they could play 24hrs worth of video on a phone before it took both the internal and external batt out. So, maybe you should buy that and take it with you when you are out.. Make sure you ALWAYS have it connected to your ex batt pack. That would be a pain in the ass to have that attached to your belt all the time though.. Then, you wouldn't lose the phone anyway unless it came unplugged which defeats the purpose...
  4. Thank you and yes we are working more closely with WW to ensure processing time gets cut down to no longer than 24hrs max, preferably 12hrs or less.
  5. if you make a zcon last off of 7500w worth of amps for 30seconds, then either you are using 1 large ass enclosure or are playing right around tuning only. Either way.. the zcon will obviously be no where near 7500w of real power but it can be done. I used to run 7kw to 1kw drivers.. not for 30 seconds but i'm sure with a little tweaking it could have been done.. but then they wouldn't really be receiving that kind of power either.

cmos battery, not chip. And honestly.. that is a good idea.. BUT.. we do not know how long a cmos batt that's small enough to fit in a phone would last JUST to keep the GPS transmission alive.. Hell, on my phone, if i leave GPS on the main battery, it drains it down about 40% quicker. Maybe we should just contact Intel and see if we can get a group buy on some CMOS batt phones, hehe. Hell, Intel is already manufacturing 22nm chips with 1.4 billion transistors in them.... SURELY they can make a board for a phone that'll be equipped with some mini XS Power like batts in this beast...

Senchez, with all the tech that's out there with locating phones and people with services and apps, etc.... IT NEVER WORKS WHEN THE BATTERY IS DEAD! They make it all sound good until reality pops in.... Uh.. Oh yea.. it's a smartphone.. Batteries in them suck.. The End.

Tried calling and got this response- "Woo ooo ooo! We're sorry. The person you are trying to reach is not responsible enough to carry a phone. If you believe you've reached this recording in error, please check the name and use your head!"
  9. Your item is due to be delivered in just a few hours from now. Happy Metering!
  10. You don't need a backup camera to see behind you. I've had walls and never had one. Take your side mirrors and angle them away from you. That way the far side of each mirror is parallel to your vehicle(when viewing through the mirror) I've got my mirrors angled like this so i can actually see what is behind me when backing up from parking spots without hitting anyone. If you really freaked out.. get a backup siren so people know to move if they are walking by.

    YES! i'm tuned in!
  12. Quick question, when you say new battery, is there only one battery that comes with this and if so why is it new? If there is only 1 batt that comes with this, i'll pay you $80 shipped because it's NiCaD.
  13. Have you ever tried running your computer in safe mode ONLY? Try running in safe mode with networking and let it run like that for a long time. I'm assuming this video issue happens everyday? You would know if running in safe mode after a certain amount of time resolves the issue. If your computer is error free when doing this, it's definitely driver errors.
  14. as long as he has insurance coverage... Also, just install things in such a way as to where they are not easily removed... IE- false floor over batts, Bolt box down from the inside, install amps in such a way to where the whole cargo area needs to be removed to get it out. I'm used to squeezing every little bit of equipment in my car so when it's all said and done.. i could have my doors open and still take quite a while just to get anything out.
  15. Can you list various reasons as to why techs do not want to warranty or repair them?
  16. This can only happen if the amp allows the capability and then you actually wire it like that... - Bridged. Each of the 2 channels supply half the capable output of the amp ever. Only bridging the connection would force both channels(stereo) to join as one master channel(mono). Look at the speaker terminals itself. If there is a bridging diagram on it, then you know for sure it's safe. If there isn't, look in the manual.
  17. No problem! PS- Tell her you are saving money by purchasing this device because without it, you would be blind at going for your goal in car audio.
  18. I've only ever had to wait for clearance from them one other time and it was 2-3 business days. I am expecting to have your order shipped out this coming Monday. If anything changes, I'll let you know.
  19. Ok, when we receive the "clearance", i will send it via Xpress, USPS and is an overnight shipping method. All of our packages require signature.
  20. WW was just notified of solutions to prevent this from happening to other customers. Also, what state are you in needmobass?
  21. OK then. I will contact WW and let them know to make aware of possible processing delays to customers to prevent any unforeseen waiting periods.
  22. Emails, i believe, are typically reviewed by WW during the night, early morning and sometimes just after noon. I work with Evan, WW owner, and he is loaded down with business, but not "hiding", i guess i could say. I rarely ever talk with him on the phone so i can't tell you when is a good time to call if you ever needed to. Since you paid with a CC, it appears that his transaction service is waiting for payment to clear as what i have been notified about already. CC's typically take 2-3 business days before the money is actually deposited into the destination account. Just trying to help you understand how that can work as I personally have no control over that part of the sale.
  23. pop it open and look. Sounds like these car companies are starting to piss me off more and more.. Now we can't disconnect a cable without a special tool... Pretty soon we are going to need to take our car to a qualified car wash technician.
  24. i don't see what type of vehicle has anything to do with it... Just add the following- Ground from starting battery to frame Power from alt to battery + Ground from alt case or bracket to frame OR same point starting battery is grounded to.
