  1. Two things... One, why did you not like the wire? It's pretty hard to mess up wire so curious as to what you do not like about it.. And 2, bassahaulic, some things are sold cheaper than anyone else and still perform well.. Crescendo and Audiopipe.. We may not be comparing utmost superior parts being used in some AP amps but with how the majority of users use high powered amps just for xtreme bass and burps, if it works, it works.. Proper installation will allow anyone's product to last a long time.
  2. it was undriveable, hehe. But knowing Dave.. we do not know what he is thinking, lol.
  3. You sir do not know what you are doing.. You are pathetic.. Jesus Christ.. i dont even know what to say... Lol.. is that the kind of trash talking you were talking about? hehe Anyways, Were you able to apply ANY of that stuff that didn't have Adhesive problems out of the box? In favor of the product in this instance, if you applied any of it that had adhesive damage, then can't give an accurate review of it's adhesive strength... Now, on the other hand, the adhesive should have never came in contact with anything other than protective sheeting. I've never seen it come this way from anyone but if the protective sheeting can't "protect it", then they need to wrap it up in plastic sheeting and tape it up securely to prevent this from happening. That's a whole $0.05 out of pocket expense on their end. Another thing is a while back i had bought some B stock SS spl tile things from them and i applied them on 1 door and that stuff didnt stick right at all after 2-4weeks. IT was B stock because something was off with the adhesive, can't remember what though but they said it would still work fine....Yea right.. maybe on the floor, lol. I will say that you said the sheets are very stiff.. That alone takes a LOT of forming to get right.. it's a Bitch! It's extremely difficult to apply stiff sheets on an area where gravity is the enemy. Perhaps they need to rethink their focus on who and how their sheets is to be used? In my experience, if i were selling deadener and the customer got it in like that, an insurance claim should have been possible and an immediate re-shipment of material should have been issued. Deadener is not that expensive so there shouldn't be any reason "out of pocket" is severe in such cases.
  4. He had 128,000w of power on 50+ Optimas.. but i "think" he always ran with the vehicle OFF... However, people like him who run vehicle off could also of had multi alts for advertising and cosmetic purposes.
  5. God.. now autozone has Facebook likes on it.. I must be out of the times with all this social networking.. Yea, that's the best choice right there with Autozone.
  6. Scottie Johnson used to have 1 or 2 Astros too (XS Power). I do not know if he ever had any upgraded alts on it or not but worth a shot.
  7. i know you aren't installing a "lot" of power but cheap alts have cheap effects. I wouldn't want to be running 8 awg powerground wire to a 1500w amp because it "works". Looking at DC Power, they have an alt for $390 that does 130A at idle, 180a max https://www.dcpowerinc.com/fit/2006~Toyota~Tundra~4.7L-V8-2UZ-FE/13994-180-hp.html Mechman only offers 1 for $600. You also have Ohio Gen, Excessive Amperage, Mike Singer, Knukonceptz, Mean Green, Db Electric Some of those i'd never run even for free but there you go.
  8. yea i was gonna say 4awg wire is fine if it's short. at 4ft long, 4 awg can handle up to 295A @5% voltage drop per NEC standard. I used to use 4 runs of 4 awg 18" long per run and pull 1100A of current on quick burps. Never effected my score. Thanks to MECA for making me run funky size cables so i started making my own blocks, etc at that point.
  9. yea man.. if i can get 4 18s, 33cuft, 8 batts, 6 amps, 2 processors, lots of ext bracing and over 125ft of cable in a scion tc just in the rear.. u can get an amp in a truck.. Dont make me come over there, hehe.
  10. i dont give a damn about not givin a damn. I'd like to see that video.
  11. you are thinking far too into it. I can keep on giving you speculatory answers as to what if and possibly that but i'm telling you, unless you plan on breaking 160s, i highly doubt your truck will suffer glass damage. I live around competitors who use trucks and while their flex may look violent close to the mid 50s, it's been intact for years. The ability for glass to shatter normally is the surrounding area is not braced well enough. If you had an actual air leak in the rear window, then it will be flexing just from driving as the glue is starting to crack. Overkill is one thing but this is beyond overkill.
  12. Side windows, extremely unlikely, regardless of pressure. Rear window.. only if it actually has a visible air leak.
  13. you are wanting to add strong glass above enclosure to hold an amp i believe, correct? If the glass is shaking, the amp is shaking. If the amp is shaking, your amp will not last long anyway. Properly braced box will allow anyone to mount things to enclosure without flexing issues.
  14. Lexan is polycarbonate and will scratch like crazy. There is scratchless polycarbonate but is extremely expensive. Get acrylic glass at 0.22" thick at Lowes. OptiX i believe is the name brand. They sell it very cheap there.
  15. it sure doesnt man. Ifwhen you know for sure when you are coming to the show, save my number- 502-471-0002. We can all hang out together at the show. IAK is pretty large and a great party to get to know so you'll have a great time.
  16. i dont get hangovers when drinking properly.
  17. Sure! with = 15ft away on separate structures
  18. We will be staying at the Ramada Limited. 3851 Shore Drive, Indianapolis, IN Hotels.com currently has early booking for $61 a night there. It is 3.3mi driving distance from the Raceway. It is not near a neighborhood, well surrounded by businesses.
  19. Well.. kinda... A few years ago, you could mask yourself behind a computer and talk crap all you want because you are anonymous... But in this day and age now.. People should talk online like they would talk to someone in person because there is virtually no anonymity anymore... Social networking, IP address logging, reverse image searches, cross-referencing posts and statistics found all over the net and even to the extreme, simply paying money to receive a list of information all about someone. Most of what you can do to find out about someone is free and easy these days and most users forget how easy it is today. People would feel real embarrassed if someone started posting information about someone publicly.. Point is that if you piss someone off enough.. they more than likely have the tools available to find you... This is a more extreme case but hey, there are plenty of crazy, hot-headed people out there. And not only that, but in the car audio hobby, many of us meet each other at shows, etc.. You wouldn't want to be an ass on the forums and then show up in person as a totally different person. Nothing we can do can change the way how people like this acts. Fate always has it's way.
  20. usaci was in kick, right? MECA will be harder because you have no loading area.. It measures at the headrest and that also means your peak note may have changed too.
  21. u know, i think u should just use nails. lol
  22. Yeah that's why I said Expensive A tuner will do it for my car... but they're around 400+$ Piggybacks for my car are around $500. Standalones go for about $2,000. Cars are different though.. I know i wouldnt drop that much money for just a burp, hehe. Alternator doesn't effect output as much unless your entire altnerator setup can power the system on it's own.
  23. You must be misinterpreting the rules. Rules state a person can be in the vehicle doing whatever as long as the pressure doesn't exceed 145db. Above that, user must be outside vehicle. If user wants to keep engine revved, then it must be done without user intervention. They do not want actual user fluctuating the rpms of the vehicle because they can't sit there and watch the gauge the whole time.
  24. i dont think piggybacks can though.. i think just standalones can..
