Welcome to the IHoP v.2
15th maybe. I'd put the Fiero, geo metro, tracker, and 80's 4 banger 'mustang' in front of the Firebird. J

Durango Rattle Control
To go off another suggestion, window insulation foam (not even 1/4 inch thick) worked wonders for me in many areas. Might want to try that too. Works well and cheap. J

FI Sp4 On Fire.. Warranty?
How are the spiders held together? Is the adhesive fire retardent too? The stitching on the leads as well? I just have never seen leads get that hot to glow orange in my life. J

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
feels like they been stringing you along for a whileThey have been. The progress made in the last 2 weeks is more than in the last 7 months or so. I just want to be done. I have done my time, given my pound of flesh, and gallon of sweat. I was not asked to give more, and I thank my lucky stars for it every day. Now I am ready to be on. J

FI Sp4 On Fire.. Warranty?
I just fail to understand no matter how well its been explained that the area of the leads seems to be the ignition area, the coil looks fine, and the amp has has no issues on other subwoofers. Again man, just curious. Topics like these are how we as car audio nuts learn. J

FI Sp4 On Fire.. Warranty?
Also you mention these leads being used in the SMD subs amongst others. Wouldn't the ability of the materials to last on sub a be different than on sub b? I mean you can't exactly put race tires on a winter car and expect traction.....things need to be use dependent and I would imagine tinsel leads much like voice coils, cones, magnets, etc are not a 'one size fits all' application. J

FI Sp4 On Fire.. Warranty?
Sounds like anything is possible here. Nick I just have to ask something here out of my own stupidity. Lets say the amp is at fault here due to bad mosfets. Then can we show other subwoofers having the same problem due to the same amp? Now lets say it's the Subwoofer. What would cause he subwoofer to do this? Bad tinsel lead construction? Some fluke that takes time to happen? Also, how could the amp cause these fires? I am just being curious in the quest of knowledge, not trying to stir the pot. J

My 12 inch DCON died
Remove the sub and post some pics of the sub. Might help point out what happened. With you talking about pushing on the cone and it THEN working, m thought is a separated coil. Push on it and it smashes back together, then works its way back apart. J

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Funny, I was just thinking the other day about getting a Rush starman tramp stamp. Threw away the idea because I figured it would be too intricate to tattoo at that size, and because I was drinking when I originally thought of the idea.http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/1e/I would love to do that tatt. Not really a very detailed image as its a silhouette. Perfect circles and straight lines are the hardest thing to tatt so if you get it make sure the artist likes the challenge of doing symmetrical work. I personally love the challenge but most artists don't. Also make sure they lay the stencil with you standing up in a relaxed position as possible. As soon as you lift your arms, lean forward, twist your torso, etc the shapes will distort. Not a big deal as 90% of the time ppl will look at it with you standing relaxed. Make sure it's centered on your butt crack too. LolAs I believe I am the only one here who has seen Jared for ink, I gotta say he is spot on and knows his shit. The man got my arm done up VERY well and is obsessive over every little detail. Exactly what you want in a tattoo artist. He is one of a few artists I would let do ink on me anymore. I'll be seeing him again soon for more work as I want my other sleeve done and to have a tattoo or two he didn't do fixed/altered. BTW sorry to hear about the pups brother. Hopefully a fully recovery is made. J I look forward to jamming out your other sleeve and showing ya some more of the area! Dog is all stapled up. Was just a really big flesh wound with a big chunk of fat hanging out. I had a ball holding it shut on the way to the vets. Looking forward to it more than you know. Over a year is far too long brother. Just gotta find a reasonable pet friendly hotel as Eva will be riding with us on the cross country trip. J

Askin 3500 right now. Got some extras to go with it too (new front end suspension that wa a gift and hasn't been installed as it isn't needed), still have the back seat for it. Custom pipes with edelbrock headers. 305 tunes port injection 5 speed. If he's interested pass him my number. I love driving it, but won't run it on the interstate as other drivers tend to ignore lower vehicles, and bikes out here. J

Auction goers for that car will want a deal. IMO you'd sell it faster on CL. One fact about CL, if you don't get calls your price is too high. No way you'll get more for it at an auction that on CL IMO.CL has been no luck. Only offers are for trades. It's an auction not just for cars but guns gold farm equipment etc. J

Y'all Alright, Okies?
No it doesn't and it won't for a long time. That's why you open your wallet, open your heart and share what you have. Only through helping those who are down will you feel picked up. J
