Jon, I get what your saying on living by the phone, but it's no excuse man. You need to make time for your health brother. You can either make time for it now, or you can make time for it in the hospital. The choice is yours. As for breakfast grab something quick. An egg white omelette with some peppers and a pinch of cheese is a good start. A cup of black coffee and there is meal one. A handful or two of nuts (unsalted) like almonds, or pumpkin seeds can be a small snack. Meal two down. Lunch, something rich in protein (ham sammich on whole grain bread) and something else healthy (small salad). Meal three down. Some more nuts or maybe some fruit. Meal four is gone. Dinner. Grilled chicken breast, brown or wholegrain rice. There is five meals. Just before bed something slow digesting, rich in protein. He'll maybe even a protein shake or fresh blended smoothie. Meal six gone. You hit all the major food groups, avoided extra sugars and fats. The mini meals can be put in small lunch pail if needed to be kept cold (apples, oranges) and taken n the truck and eaten on the road. You would be amazed at how this will help. I did it while driving convoys while deployed, while in the field, driving cross country, and while in an office job. If I can do it,executives of multi billion dollar companies an do it, firemen,policemen, and others can do. It so can you brother. I am not preaching to be a dick man. I am doing it because you asked for help, and I refuse to give you bullshit advice. That being said, the sweet tea need to change man. And not to fake sweeteners either. That shit has been proven to be even worse for you than real sugar ever has been. Just like you researched to find the best bang for your buck for audio equipment, you need to research the foods you feed your body. See what the ingredients have for nutritional values, see what they cause for disease, what they do. To your metabolism, blood sugar, blood pressure and more. Do everything you can to find alternatives to surgery, to benefit yourself. One last thing, eating only twice a day puts your body into starvation mode. It says 'oh fuck we are going into famine. I need to store resources for a long time. Make fat NOW' much like when bears hibernate for winter. More food and cleaner food is they only way to change this. come on man, i think you know what i meant, i mean for weight loss, more like a testimony, im awell known guy in my town, and when BIGJON starts losing weight people will ask what and how.. and i say ,,., metroflex. or what ever.... also keep track and pictures of my progress and post on my face book and what nots.... but i do understand what your saying. heres the deal, and ill put my self out there so that i can be made fun of my a small group, but i went to the doctors today, and after months of testing , my doctor, that normaly stays to a natrual cure low medication type healing, was so confused and perplexed, .... he suggested something that i never expected to hear from him.... after tons of testing my thyroid is fine, my blood suger is fine, my blood pressure is fine. my testostrone is back in line, im active, as my job calls for it. i eat decent , mainly salads for lunch and chicken and white rice for dinner, and my weight keeps around the same or goes up.. i got on the scale today and i was like WWWWHHHHAAT THE FUCK.. even my doctor had me get back on... it makes no sence. so he sugested lap band or gastric sleeve.... not somthing i wanted to do.. thats why i have been paying him a shit ton of money to do all these test... because i was hoping to find an off balance that we could correct and get me down some what... but no.. hes basicly giving up on me. my doc stood back, looking at me, telling me,. you dont look as heavy as you are, you carry it well.. but why are you so big? .... i donno doc thats what i have been asking you for years .... and he looked so confused,. he told me " if i didnt know you .. and just looked at your chart.. and all the test results i would think you were an avrage man, untill i get to your weight, then it all changes how are you so .. for lack or a better term healty other then your BMI" so as a last effort im going to go down to the gym and push.. i hope to go between tows, jump on somthing for 15 mins at a time 3 times aday or somthing... ill give it three months and if i cant manage it then i guess ill have no choice but to look into it.. but i really cant afford it.... i really dont want to do it.... i just wanna be fucking normal not skinny. just a normal chunky fucking dude. Okay let me start off by saying something brother. I would never make fun of you for being 'over weight' and especially for trying to improve your health. It takes a lot of balls to realize shit has to change without someone saying something, and even more to ask for help. Now that being said, I have a feeling that you quite possibly spend half your work shift sitting down. In the truck, the office, what have you. Those of us who have sedentary work schedules (not up doing shit all shift) tend to have slower metabolisms. It's an unfortunate side effect of constant sitting. What's your diet like? I ask because simple things like only eating twice a day, and bigger portions do not help in weight loss. The body is like a furnace and just like the fire inside that furnace you need fuel to keep going. SMALL meals 5-7 times a day can be huge. Just like a snack can kill hunger cravings, small meals can keep that metabolism operating at max force. Increased water intake to help the body stay hydrated, and the metabolism going is also huge. When we have guys who are over weight and body fat we have them do physical training twice a day. Hour in the am, and an hour towards the end of the day. If no progress in a short term then they go to a nutritionist to see what can be done to help. Our 'experts' always suggest what I have written above combined with cardio of varying intensity,and weight training. In under 3 months one kid who was COMMITTED and busted his ass in the gym, ate better and avoided alcohol, soda, sweet tea, and shit like that lost 45 lbs and 22% body fat. He went from hauling around a keg on his stomach to damn near the start of a six pack. Hopefully this helps some man. J

Bills rents them. AR 15's are extremely pleasant to shoot. If you ever want to go I will take ya. Just don't know about the wife's first time being ideal unless we went to an outdoor range or someone's property. Pleasant yes. Easy to sight? Not so much. Iron sights are finicky as hell. J

Sean, I may not be a marriage expert here as mine failed, but I have been thru similar with the ex, and a few other guys artwork have had similar happen. Here's a small List of ideas for ya. Sorry that some will be repeats. - Weekend away. Not local but one place you haven't been together before. Might help it feel more like when you were dating, and help to de-stress her, as well as make your relationship stronger. - Flowers. Might help her have a super positive moment in the craziness of her day. - Weekend at home with no plans. Forget the sleds, forget the projects to sell the house, forget everything but you, her and the kids. I know you're go go go all the time. And that's fucking amazing. But if she doesn't see you stop to spend intentional time with her nd the kids with no agenda, it might help her feel more appreciated. - Some spa time on a weekend away from the boys. Might help her decompress and forget about the stress of the new position. The main thing here is with stress you cannot help her solve the problems at work, but simply listen and sympathize. You can make suggestions if asked, but just sympathizing and letting her vent can be fucking HUGE when it comes to relieving stress. As men it's not easy to just listen, but with all that she has going on and you being gone as often as you are, and doing tons of shit while you are home, just listening will do the most good. J

Did I miss something? My medical paperwork is not done yet. If I wasn't being medically discharged/retired I would be out July of this year. That means I'd be starting my vacation time this month. Since the paperwork isn't done I have been extended till January. It could be in any week now and once it is I leave. J
