MECA AZ Car/Audio Shows
I'm already in Mesa and I have both my regular picture/video camera and my SLR digital camera. I will be taking ample pictures and videos. Hopefully I will be able to get some face time with Alma and perhaps a little interview for SSA. Looking forward to tomorrow (well about 5 hours from now) and thanks for the heads up Justin!!!! J

Good amps, though the older US made models were better. Thought that was the old one for a moment before memory kicked in and Google confirmed it. Haven't been able to find a manual yet. J

MECA AZ Car/Audio Shows
I talked to TRP and apparently the show will be at his shop. I'll be showing up. Prolly just going to watch and bring the Tundra. Figure bring the DD's and some other goodies that I'll try and sell. Especially if someone blows something. J

Welcome to the IHoP
I like ryans way of thinking as far as wrap them and forget about them. As far as wires melting you either need to reroute them or sleeve them. http://www.summitracing.com/search/?keyword=heat%20sleeve&dds=1 Planning on sleeving and rerouting anyways. Just looking to cut down on overall temp anyways. Gotta replace 2 wires anyways. Thermostat guage wire and horn wire. Those are going to be a bitch. J

Welcome to the IHoP
I know the headers I have now are (well were originally) chrome Edelbrock headers. The chrome has gotten a bit discolored due to heat. These damn cars run pretty damn hot. J

Welcome to the IHoP
I wouldn't worry about it to much. I would be amazed if they rusted through in the lifetime of the car. Agreed but it seems like every site I looked at today has been swearing that header wrap is the worst thing since Cancer. J I used it on my LTs on my Cobra and never had any issues. They're still on there too, although they were SS so that helps. I wouldn't worry about rust. I am sorry for the lack of knowledge but what do you mean by LTs and SS? J Long Tubes and Stainless Steel. I am not 110% sure of the material mine are made of. I thought about having them jet-hot treated. J You will quickly get to the law of diminishing returns in that car. Just trying to control under the hood heat. Hopefully prevent more melted wires too. If it looks good while its serving its main purpose then I am all for it. J You misunderstood. Spending a bunch of money on that car is sort of like spending it on dinner. It's good while you have it, but it's gone. I understand the bird is pretty much a money pit at this point. Got it. I just want the most enjoyment out of it while it runs. I over paid for the car, and parts aren't always cheap. On the same token, it was exactly what I was looking for but over what I should of spent nonetheless.

Welcome to the IHoP
For what I need (aka no Turbo and no plans of adding one) jet-hot is quoting me about 300 with shipping and all that included. I'd love some input and opinions on that price. From what I have been seeing on alot of the Camaro/Firebird forums they are a VERY highly respected company. J

When a pair of Double Deez just isn't enough O_o
Who said anything about titties. What do you mean they're just sitting there? Build a box and get them jiggling. No vehicle to take em on. The wife doesn't want more in her Xterra, not doin a wall in the bird and I am not pissing away my warranty for bass. J

When a pair of Double Deez just isn't enough O_o
Indeed! Whaaaa??!! O_o The wife would kill me if I tried getting all that is required to support another Warhorse, electrical wise. That's not to say I don't already have a second Warhorse. It's just these subs are the wrong impedance to run on a Warhorse individually. Lol! Four Double Deez just doesn't sound humanly possible. They sittin here needing a home. J
