  9. Sorry to down the tractor fun times mood but I just got back from Tucson. Seeing my boss a man only 56 years old in ICU has me a tad fuckedup. He had a stroke last night and while he is doing better than expected his motor skills and speech are not as good as they were. Additionally, after this one the Army is looking at giving him medical retirement. Its strange to me because just yesterday I was thinking of how much he has taught me in the almos 2 years I have known him, and how much more I have left to learn. Really sucks seeing a good mentor like him in this state.

  12. Bold statement. Jobs did some pretty big game changing decisions. If you were into home PC's in the 80's and 90's that is understandable. He did bring tech to the average consumer though and until not to long ago and for many years the people who designed Windows and Windows programs and hardware design all used Mac products. Jobs also is the reason that the mouse your using was so widespread so fast. . I remember the jobs of a long time ago and not the one who sued the fuck out of everyone. Then again if the whole world wants to do what you do to get a slice of the action, I can get it. Mp3 players were junk pre iPod. I don't like the iPod that much, but my house uses them because it was an accessible platform my wife found approachable. I know my smartphone is as good as it is because the iPhone came out. I digress, for me its sad. A few years of ass hole behavior does not make a lifetime of work garbage, maybe just tarnished at worst. Well said DB well said. J

  15. thanks aaron i will try out your idea. what do you think about protein drinks? or should i get protein from actual food? and its weird because i can already lift alot of weight and when i go bigger its almost impossible lol. I can lift alot but it doesnt get me big, it seems to make me cut. idk my body may be different.. i can bench 220lbs easy now but when i try like 230 or 240 its nearly impossible to do 3. I was hinting at a protein shake in my post. I have been through most, and the protein on Trueprotein.com that Jordan suggested, is one of the better values. But you need to get protein from both food and possible supplements. There is a rusty rule of thumb about eating at least one gram of protein per pound of body weight per day. That can be very difficult to do as you go along. To go along with what Kurt (98GMC) suggested, go to a Target or Wegmans etc, and buy large bags of frozen chicken breast. I buy them in bulk like that and boil up a bunch at a time. Along with boil in bag brown rice, steamed broccoli, green beans, cans of tuna etc. Thanks for the TrueProtein plug Aaron. Honestly the 1 gram per lb seems to have fallen by the wayside with many people when it comes to muscle growth. I say this beacuse when you think about it at 122 lbs this guy is more than likely close if not slightly over his 122 grams. I would suggest going up to 1.5 or maybe even 2 grams per lb of body weight. Additionally ensure you are taking a multivitamin daily. This is one of the more important 'suppliments' for you to take. What does your average daily diet consist of? What time do you wake up and go to sleep? Give us an idea as to how your life goes, and what nutrients your body ingests and we can help from there. I am not a trainer, or a bodybuilder, or even what many people consider anothing past a decent sized guy. I know some of the basics and I know where to go to find good knowledge so I will help where I can. J
  16. I'm glad to hear that your making changes man!!! As for motivation get your lady friend or a good friend to take some pics of you. Do it in just shorts. Do it the same day every month. That will help you see the changes for yourself. Compare what works, and what does not. J
  17. Its not bad to eat alot. You just need to be active, and eat healthy. Hell eat 6 small meals a day. Might help you vs 3 big ass meals. J

I see it like this, if you want to learn pretty solid information about car audio you visit SSA. If you want generic bullshit and hit an miss advice try car audio.com The same comes from learning about fitness. Use IntenseMuscle.com to perform research and to look into what may work best for a man of your build. The people who tend to frequent IM are bodybuilders, powerlifters, and guys who comepete in strong man competitions. Numerous members have forgotten more about fitness than most of us will ever know. Kudos for the lifestyle change, and good luck on the quitting smoking tip. You can do it bro. J
