  1. 5000 sq ft and lake front sounds damn nice. Beach front sounds even nicer LOL Agreed. NOPE for me. I like visiting rural, but I like the options I have closer to a city. J
  2. I appreciate that Aaron. I was hoping to be covering Nas/Mary J Blige tomorrow night but no dice. Summer semester is officially 2/3 the way done. 79, 98, and looks to be 97.5 (that course ends the 26th). Enjoying a cigar tonight. Wish it wasn't storming so I could sit outside, but no dice there. J
  3. My review/photos from Allen Stone, Goo Goo Dolls, and Train. https://www.rocketsports-ent.com/train-pulls-into-tampa-with-the-goo-goo-dolls-and-allen-stone/ J
  4. Shocked you didn't take it just to see what goes. J
  5. Discussed those more than Dr Ruth
  6. I think we discussed peckers a little less than she would have, but kind of. J
  7. Last bit of spam for now, covering Train, Goo Goo Dolls, and Allen Stone tonight. 7 years and one day after my first state side concert coverage. What makes this special for me, is that Goo Goo Dolls were my first concert I attended with just friends at 16. J
  8. Not like you haven't earned that right. J
  9. Dude count me in on that, but can I have dilaudid instead? J
  10. I went to him with a very rough idea, and he was able to hear it and build on it. Believe me when I say this; he knows you better than you think when you meet him, and he can hit the mark with some simple input. I only had to suggest adding in one part, and that's because of a story not many people have ever heard. He makes the whole process simple and therapeutic. J
  11. Make it out for some therapy from Jared and you will not regret it. I have not added anything on my left arm since he did the sleeve on my right for a reason. J
  12. You have both made me insanely grateful for the Samoan feet of May. I hope you two heal up quickly, because Goddamn. J
  13. I'm on your 'greens with every meal prep container' thing.....hate it, but trying it. J
  14. That would be what I need if I was buying more in ears. I like my sound proof bluetooth Sony over the ear cans. J
  15. Not for in ear. My damn ears won't take anything besides custom molded worth a damn. J
  16. Just as an update on pops; still in the ICU after surgery. Still has a breathing tube in and is sedated as he keeps trying to rip it out. He also now has pneumonia. Which honestly isn't a huge shock. J
  17. Holy fuck.....just reading that made my junk hurt....hope they get ya better ASAP. J
  18. Thanks Aaron and Matt. I spoke with my step-mom this evening, as he didn't get in until 4. The docs told her that they were able to 'zap' it and a few other small spots and they waited a bit before they put the tube back in and were done, and it didn't seem to start leaking again. From what she said he was allowed a bit of broth at some point today and did well with it. Now he should be able to leave 'soon'. Now just to see what that means. I really appreciate the well wishes guys. I tend to be a bit more reserved on family stuff. Just like I try not to brag or anything like that, I also try not to post shit for sympathy or attention. Just not my MO now, and I have never wanted it to be. J
  19. Appreciate that guys. Sitting in class this morning, and even though I just got here I'm ready to go. We'll see what today brings. J
  20. LOL well played man
  21. So I might be making a trip back to Buffalo soon, and not for what I wanted. Do me a favor guys....and fuck I hate asking for this, and this is the only place I've publicly mentioned this personally.....just do me a favor and say a word, raise a glass, do a rail....whatever your pleasure is for my pops tomorrow. Surgery 3 or 4 (I honestly can't remember) since the 21st of June, at some point early this afternoon. Chest tube qon't quit leaking. Back story, earlier this year pops was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. If you know anything about this, less than 20% make it 5 years or more, and his mass had some age on it. The plus side was it had not yet spread beyond the surrounding lymph nodes. They did radiation and chemo, and it shrunk it considerably; hell they only had one 'hot spot' that they were concerned about. Well needless to say his recovery hasn't been so smooth. Tonight he openly admitted he was about done with this shit. He's tired of getting his ass kicked by this. Started crying and such a bit (mind you he is a tough sumbitch, and will do what he is told asap, and they have him somewhat decently medicated). When we spoke Friday after they tried to fix the leak by gluing it (and putting him under) and it didn't take he sounded ok. Tonight he was also coughing up more crap in a minute than I usually hear him cough up in a week of being sick. Needless to say, if this doesn't work, or it goes poorly I'll be flying back in to visit him. I know nobody is ever ready to truly face the mentality of their own parent's mortality, but fuck....I got 34 years with him (and not all of em were great) and my kid never has been around him enough (mixture of faults there). I just wasn't ready for this possibility, and maybe I'm being a bitch about this....if I am sorry. J
  22. I'm shocked Tramadol does that to you. It's a synthetic opioid devised (in part) to avoid that stoppage. It just makes me sick as a dog. J
  23. I'm curious as to what you have tried for pain relief; what has worked and what failed miserably. J
  24. Sorry to hear Matt. That's fucking horrendous. Hopefully the Mayo clinic can shed some light on things, and get you going in the right direction. J
  25. It also might give me an excuse to justify some more music gear I want for photo props and for my dabbling. And to trade in a few pieces on something bigger and better. J
