So combining these two posts I am left drawing a conclusion that is their perception that you can get along with everyone and mentor those around you to be like you. Being 'HYPER clear at interviews' is a bullshit blanket statement in my option. Saying you fail at working with people like those you described means you might not be cut out for certain types of leadership roles; and honestly I don't believe it. As for the closing statement of 'a lighter version of the culture I left'......well you got promoted/transferred. That should (by all logic) give you the ability to change shit up in the new location. Make changes wherever you end up after a reasonable assessment period. You see shit you don't like? Change it, but tell them WHY you are changing it. Yes I am well a-fucking-ware that it is not necessary for a supervisor or a boss to explain shit; but a leader does. That being said there is a limit as to how much explanation needs to be given. I also think you might be reading a bit deeper into this than usual given everything that has happened within the last year. It might just be a case of too much stress and bullshit wearing on ya. Just keep pressing on, and you'll get where you wanna be. Even if you need to change your scenery to do it. J

BTW, tomorrow night early coverage starts at 10 eastern on ESPN (I believe ESPN plus also has it starting at 7:30) is Top Rank Boxing from Kissimmee, FL. Well I will be there ringside photographing the action for Rocket Sports and Entertainment. Last July I was editing for TR's official photographer, this year I'm shooting for a publication I do a lot for. J

Glad they jumped that route. This is never an easy thing, and if you need to bounce things off someone, you have my number. I've been through the strokes with my grandmother, and seizures with the family of a couple guys I served with. Needless to say I've gotten adapt at finding this info. J

If they keep going that route, threaten to contact the local media. I'm sure at least one news station would want to cover this. Also, if you haven't yet, are you able to find examples within 500 miles that are keeping with this higher cost? Can they prove where their figures are coming from? Cause I'd love to see them prove that. Sorry for the ankle grabbing they are giving you man.

Sorry to hear man. If they have not, have them look at it from a stroke perspective.....I've heard of them having similar appearances at times depending on how the stroke occurred. J

I appreciate that. The tone was direct and honest....Easiest way I can explain it, is Drill Sergeant providing mentorship. Not yelling, off to the side, and one-on-one. Attemting to inform where the problem exists, why the problem exists, and that if it is not fixed, I will be happy to run this up the chain and fix the problem for you. So far 1.5 hr in (45 mins to go) and he hasn't said anything ignorant. Just a lot of blathering to be honest. J

Honestly, I've just had enough of the double standards, and the 'if you aren't white you can say anything; straight, white men need to know their place and stay quiet with their white privileged asses'. Also speaking of shootings, I had a professor ask for a volunteer to demonstrate his 'preferred way' of picking up the digital textbook from from someone who didn't have it yet. That someone was me. Afterwards he suggested I should get extra credit for volunteering to help. He says I get 5 points, one girl suggests 2 since that's how his classes started last semester on EC. I just sit there smirking as I could give a fuck less. He then says 'nah we gotta give him 4, don't want him to shoot up the class because he didn't get full value'. My jaw dropped and I loudly let him know (paraphrasing here) 'Sorry mac, but after 10 years in the US Army I'm not the one you want for that joke. That shit isn't me and it isn't funny.' I stayed after class and explained to him 1-on-1 that in 2019 that not only is that shit not funny, but considering I'm white, male, and a metal head, I am statistically the most likely to do this. Considering he is black, effeminate sounding, never married, loves Disney, and used to go for the women, but not he likes watching the kids since he had none. Pointed out to him that I could make jokes about him being a pedder ass and other things, and he says he sees my point. Told him if he wants to make cracks like that I can swap classes, sign in and leave immediately (since he admitted he only cares about the sheet, not if we stay), or I can not participate and just sit there and half ass my shit. His choice on how he wants to act. Prolly not the right way to go, but my give a fuck with ignorant professors has run out. We'll see tomorrow what has changed. J

That's some serious bullshit!! My step dad helps out the school trap team for a town over that kids at my former school can join. He sees that 'spark' in their eyes when it clicks, and he says it's great. Hopefully they get him in a better setup at no charge due to that negligence. J
