Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Ex wife did a chunk of those trips with me and had T-Mobile. A good bit of the FL trips have been with my brother and his wife (who had Metro PCS until a year ago) . I have yet to go ANYWHERE and not have service while others have it. J

Understood. I guess perhaps I have just been fortunate on a trip to CO, driving to NY and back twice, all over FL, and with my trips to rural AZ all with Verizon. Honestly my biggest bitch about them is the price. J

Dumb question but are these comparisons with the same brand and model phones? I ask because my iPhone will perform much better than my girlfriends Droid in many situations and we both have Verizon. The CS can be a real PITA, but if you simply ask for a supervisor when calling they are always great IMO. Plus I will take a better coverage range over OMG high speeds, and other shit. J

No it's not a ton of cash, but having the on barrel aperture ring versus the seclector wheel on the body is not so,ething I like. Plus thats a 300 dollar difference used and on ebay. Also as for the 135 f/2 http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/135mm-f2-dc.htm No crop sensor. My D750 is full frame, however it does have the option to shoot with a crop sensor. I honestly hate choosing that option as it does not crop dead on in the middle. J

I've been looking at them for some time. As this assignment fell into my lap with less than a months notice, I did not budget to pick up this lens new, and I was shopping the used market. After not finding one in the shape I wanted, at the price I wanted, wo took pay after delivery (waiting on GI Bill cash) I had no choice but to rent. The 50mm 1.4 is great up close, great if I want a deeper depth of field, but the 70-200 2.8 will allow me much more flexibility in conjunction with the 50mm on certain shots. At least with this I can put it through it's paces for a week before I fully commit to purchasing. Additionally it's also the 'newer' VRII model. J

Is the difference between the 1.4 and 1.2 worth the extra 300 dollars in your opinion? J

Forum is great on my laptop (minus not letting me give +1 rep the first try). Still absolute shit on the iPad though. J

Well played Sean, but as I shoot with Nikon, unless I get an adapter that would be noting more than a paperweight for me. I'll check them out again. It's been awhile since I shopped to rent, and I assumed someone in here had been renting recently. Going with a 70-220 f/2.8 VRII J

Anybody have a good lens rental reccomendation? The 'Pay after Delievery' function of PayPal is being a real PITA and as such I'll need to rent a lens for the festival. J

Nice man!! Marketing companies can really pay very well. Never done a wedding though, nor do I have a huge interest in them at this point. Maybe I just need to shoot one first. Concerts are a whole other animal. I love them. One of the very few times the smile on my face is 100% real and one of the few places where I feel like I belong. Shooting an entire tour is one of my dreams. Especially if I can catch those rare backstage moments. J

Should be a great time. The hotel down there was a little more than I expected to spend, but I'll take comfort and security over cheap. J

Finally cleared to announce this as it is confirmed. I finally have a publication asking me to cover a festival. ROCKwell UnScene Magazine http://www.rockwellunscenemagazine.com in conjunction with www.tattoos.com has me giving their contest winners VIP passes and GA tickets to Fort Rock April 30th and May 1st. I'll be handing out stuff to the winners before gates open, taking photos of our winners, and shooting the bands at this two day festival. Some of the bands are Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Megadeth, Anthrax, Sevendust, Asking Alexandrea, and many more. J

No, but oddly enough I won a free case of 'beer' this past friday. I quote the 'beer' as it was BudLight. J

Is changing passive crossover same as changing headunit EQ?
As M5 said they did your deadening wrong, and something tells me they just cranked up everything to make it sound good. Additionally, online reviews are nice. But anyone can write them. Talk to people in the community in person who dom't work at those shops. See who they go to, or if they do their own shit if they will take a job to do yours and maybe teach you a thing or two. J

Came home today to a tree full off bees. Thank god my brlife ther and his wife told me earlier in the day. Called my old neighbor who have a honey farm, and he came and took most of the scouts away. There had to be an easy 2000+ bees when he showed up. Well a few hours later the foargers showed up by the hundreds. So for the next few days I'll be going through the vet place next door. J

Trust me it was a shocker to me as I was assured film was 'done' as of last semester at this school. Wrong I was. That being said, it has taught me a lot more about how to properly use aperture, using ambient light, and framing. With digital you can take a shot 100 times and loook for the right image quickly. With film, it takes more time, and effort to see your results. Is it more labor intensive? Yes. But for me, it has been useful. I'm just on a tight time table for this night project and the final project. It's not a bad thing, but I do find parts of film frustrating. Especially the potential to completely fuck a roll with bad development oof the negatives. I will say, I appreciate the effort of film much more now than I did before, but after this class if I pick up film again it will be entirely too damn soon. J

It's insane to see how my understanding of photography has progressed during this semester by shooting 35mm with no flash, only one lens, and a short time frame. J
