  1. Sure do. They were in syndication in The Buffalo News when I was growing up, and I loved reading them. I still ahve 5 of the books at my mom's house. J Awesome. I think Billy and the Boingers may have been my favorite. While that was great, the not so subtle critiques of George Bush, Dan Quayle, and Ross Perot were second to none in my opinion. Calvin and Hobbes is still my favorite cartoon strip. J
  2. Seth, what about something like 'Your Father's Mechanic'? It's catchy, rolls off the tongue, and conveys trust and respect. 'Hey where did you get your hybrid fixed?' 'Your father's Mechanic.' 'Oh You know Tommy? Great guy eh?' 'No, that's the name of the shop. They offer the kind of service your dad would trust, at prices your mom would approve of.' J

  4. In-n-Out What the hell is that? I don't have those here. Best fast food burger joint on the planet http://www.in-n-out.com/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In-N-Out_Burger They used to cut the potato and fry it fresh right in front of you. Aside from some of my friends and the GF's family, In-N-Out is the inly thing I miss about Arizona. Hell In-N-Out was one of the perks of going out for a night on the town in Tucson. J
  5. First my condolences for the loss of your fellow countrymen. Any time something like this happens it deeply saddens me. That being said, wrong or right, in foreign Countries the US Government witholds the right to punish anyone commiting a crime in a foreign country before the local juristiction can prosecute. That being said, it is rather probable that when the Soldier was returned to base that he or she was given a BAC test and locked in the brig. Now can I guarantee it happens that way? Nope. But it sure as shit is supposed to. A lot depends on rank and that is pure shit. I certainly hope something happens. Please update us when you hear more Adrian. J It sucks and I hope things will be made right. Best thing now is to hope the people who he crashed recover well. I hope so too. Wish I knew people stationed there, I'd try to keep ya as informed as possible. J
  6. Same as nicotine really,it is the most addictive drug..Much like keeping marijuana illegal, it all comes down to money and a lack of knowledge. J Actually, the issue with weed is how little it could really be taxed. It is super easy and inexpensive to grow. IIRC the total cost of growing weed is less than 5% the cost of tobacco. Taxing a nearly free to produce product in a manner that the market will deem acceptable is a difficult task. In all seriousness we would toss some seeds in the fields when we were kids, come back 2 months later and pick buds. It requires almost no effort, no prep, no cost. Exactly point number 1. They still can't make the kind of money they want to on it. The knowledge is due to the dumbasses who blame everything wrong in America on the evil marijuana

  9. Shot a springfied XD .40 and a bolt action Mossberg .308 this past weekend. The XD wasn't bad and had decent grouping at 10 yards. The .308 had a generic scope we worked on sighting. Unfortunately the bipod mounted to the plastic stock assembly left much to be desired. Hopefully he'll invest in a better stock, or a new bolt action. J
  10. Very sweet. Good choice Aaron, and as always thanks again for the support guys!!! J
  11. Damn Seth. Hope you heal up quickly. J
  12. The TRD SC was what I meant, but my fingers moved faster than my brain did. The tune comes with the SC, as well as the CAI. From my research with other Toyota drivers who have the SC, they have not had tranny issues with it, but they have had to do the fuel system and sparks to get the full potential. It's just spitballing at this point, it may happen, it may not. J
  13. In another few years it will be turbo'd. I won't out the turbo on until the warranty is almost up, as it cuts it short. There is no sway bar up front or in the rear stock, so anyhing would help. While lowering will help, I like the ride hight it has at the moment. J
  14. He doesn't. but you don't want a Toyota one anyways. Aftermarket.Should that affect my warranty? This may be a moot point anyways. J Not at all. Good to know guys. What about straight pipes and headers? I know a lift can as it changes the angle of the drivetrain. J
  15. At 80+ when switching lanes or harder cornering the ass end sways a bit. Seems as if a rear sway bar would improve the handeling. J

  17. Seth, Do you actually work at a Toyota dealership? I really want the rear sway bar from my Tundra, but would like to see if I can get it cheaper than 250 (not installed) at the dealer. J
  18. Walk away. A woman that wants you to not be you is not for you.Sean is right. Honestly, girls with no hobbies, or who have self esteem issues can be difficult to have a relationship with unless you circle your happiness around them. J
  19. J, I wish I had some real viable solutions for you, but my experience is very limited. Anything I have to offer will be second hand. My research was strictly based upon my needs (I had the amp to really open up my choices) and admittedly, my own bias to the Sennheiser sound. I would be glad to peruse the resources I used for my selection if I can get your price range and performance goals as well as your source (iPod, iPhone, Droid device, laptop, etc.). Also, what kind of wireless range and what size transmitter will you be able to use, or would you prefer Bluetooth? Do you have a big head, big ears, or any issue with clamping force and comfort? I can understand your limitations and appreciate any help you can provide. I would be using bluetooth or if offered the wireless transmitter plug. I'd like the transmitter to be very small as it will be in my pocket or sitting on my logbook. I won't be plugging it in and leaving it. Wireless range would be under 10 ft as the source (ipod touch (gen 3 i believe) or iphone6+) would be in my pocket or sitting on my log book. I have a bigger head (7 3/4 hat size and wear a Carhartt beanie in the gym all the time) as well as slightly bigger than average ears (Polish and Italian background). As such many headphones don't go low enough to truly go over my ears. J Over ear looks like a no-go on several fronts. Being that these will be used in the gym, cloth cups are a must. A rather firm clamping force is also a requirement. Bang and Olufsen has a great B&O Play H8. Negatives are leather cups, poor cabled performance and price. Sennheiser only has one cloth ear cup model, the Urbanite XL Wireless. Negatives are poor clamping force and rather weak bottom end (contrary to their "club bass" statement). When I say poor clamping force, I mean complaints of cardio moving them around. I have also read they are highly resolving, not very forgiving. Good source is really required here. I'm going to toss one out there that doesn't suit my goals for you, but I think you should really consider it... The Sennheiser Momentum Wireless. Negatives, leather ear cups, V1 ear cups may be too small, but V2 issues with comfort have been fixed, and cost. The wireless are expensive, but may be worth it. I really like my Momentum On-Ears quite a bit, and my understanding is these are sonically very similar with better bottom end and top end extension. Pendulumic S1 Stance looks great. Negatives are leather cups and again poor quality when cabled. FWIW these are stellar wireless headphones. Shockingly Beyerdynamic does not offer a wireless headphone at this time. These are very highly regarded headphones as well, but no go. I am still looking for something that ticks all the boxes I have imagined for you, J. I didn't want you to think I was not looking, and I will keep you up to date as I look. The bass (while nice for the occasional song) wasn't a big positive for me. I liked the tight seal I could get with the ear cups (foam filled leather) and how tightly they stayed on my head. It's looking more and more like I am being oushed into re-trying buds with a new design. So I am open to ideas. J
  20. No. Wrong. In ear. Do not fook around with over the ears at the gym. Don't be that guy. I just run the wire under the shirt with my in ear to my phone in the pocket, or use those cheap clip on mp3 players to my shirt (sandisk sansa) if phone in pocket doesn't work. I don't really see how wires are a problem. I've done that in the past. Works well, I am just tired of the hide-a-wire gimmick. I'd rather jist eliminate the wire all together. J If they had normal size in ear that were wireless I'd definitely go for it, but the wireless in ears are bigger than normal, and over ears seems like it would be annoying for working out, but what do I know, I've never tried it. See waht sennheiser makes I used wired Bose in ear and then some custom painted (off the back of the truck) Beats in Iraq. The Bose sucked. Even with 3 different types of 'plugs' they never sat right. The Beats cancelled out the sound, and still work well, but the wire is annoying as hell. J
  21. No. Wrong. In ear. Do not fook around with over the ears at the gym. Don't be that guy. In ears bother the fuck out of my ear holes. Never sits correctly, and I have yet to find a pair that can stay in my ears when I get sweaty after I cram em in. J I have some etymotics that have interchangable plugs, the set I use are foam, so you squish them down stick in ear then they expand. They're comfortable, cancel out 99% noise from outside world, and won't come out unless you snag the wire on something real hard. Any link? J

  23. Even better. I'll finally get some time with my daughter again here in a few weeks. This will be a fun road trip to NY. J
