Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Sean, Any chance you might be walking into a camera place while on this leg? I'm looking for a Nikon MB-D16 Multi Power Battery Pack. State side they are about 300 dollars, and I'd like to squeeze that cost down a bit if possible. Seems insanely expensive when compared to prior models. J

I really need to visit Asia. I loved the cultural experiences (as in cusine, archetecture, and history) in Iraq and Kuwait. I imagine this would be just as enlightening. J

Don't fret my friend. We will have the last laugh. These young guys might wonder why we do and say the things we do. At least we are partway through our midlife crisis. And they have just barely began. I've been having an existential crisis over the last six months, I'm afraid it's only getting worse. The answer to the question, is perspective. That's all I need to change sometimes just to be able to take a deep breath, and remember nobody gets out of here alive. I have to remind myself, I'm like a pyromaniac. Once I get a change of perspective, I just want to grab onto the next fireball. I must remind myself, I am the one that wants to play with fire. Just wait till fourth of July...I usually have a nice display and a Keg... I have a friend with a RPG-7 with a few loads that I am trying to pay to fire at a set of sony xplod's 12's he has in a prefab box for cash and some of my audio gear to replace his sony's in return..I think I have got him to bite will be a youtube video 25 lbs of tannerite would be more fun. so now I am not a person. SeanbotOne of the few ppl I actually enjoyed talking to today. Had to write a little not to snap. Helped writing to a person. Thanks btwAll good brother. But how where my writing skills? I think my content is to dry for most? Opinions?Too direct. Just needs more elaboration, but it was a text lol. Perhaps typing is better Fair enough. I know your perspective is relative. I think it takes getting a short story and stretching it out. Must have beginning and end, then the rest should fall into place. The tittle is Stolen Tomatos, a sociopaths guide to people. LOLSounds like one hell of a book. No worries on the package brother. I know you keep extremely busy, and its no rush at all. J I promise you're in the book. I can dig it. I'd be honored to be an influence in a book. J

Don't change your life and you may not see him hit 30. With the sleep symptoms, go for a sleep study. Possibly sleep apnea. Especially at your size. J

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
As my Nikon D3000 is now 5 years old, has seen close to its expected shutter life, and upcoming projects, I picked up a new body today. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/nikon-d750-dslr-camera-body-only-black/8753712.p?id=1219378307865&skuId=8753712 From another store on price match for 1300. 900 below list with warantee, and about the same price they go for with over 10k on the shutter on ebay. Now time for new glass in the next few months. J

Yes, but theres no way the place where i got em is going to refund me. Umm how the fuck does that happen??? I have NEVER saw a place have a no returns policy that was open more than three weeks. Yes open box deals can be excluded, but thats where you do your homework first, and the stuff should be a minimum of 1/2 price. J

Its fucking beautiful over here in St Pete. Leaving for Queensryche in about an hr. While I am not photographing the show (barring some last minute call/text/email) I am going to enjoy the hell out of this. I also realize I need some new sneakers. The crosstrainers have had enough. J

18" < 22", thus you can do 1 18", that's more cone area than 2 12", and essentially half the cost. You should figure out how to design a basic ported enclosure first, then decide what fits bests. I'm not going to do it for you, it's elementary math. Account for all volume displacements, eg: speaker, bracing, port. When you calculate for port length be sure to adjust as needed since port length for x tuning is based upon the enclosure volume, but the enclosure volume will be less since the port takes up space. Eg: tuning 30hz, 3ft^3, port length is 20", but after port volume the enclosure volume is actually 2.5ft^3 which means if the port length stays the same than the actual tuning will be higher. These numbers are arbitrary by the way. Good point. For some reason I had that sub pictured in another direction. J

I believe that if the enclosure is done correctly the L7 would have the potential to get louder as the L7 has more cone area. You also must keep in mind the size limitations, type of music you listen to, and what you consider to sound 'good' and if you are olanning on abusing things. Honestly, I recommend finding someone local to you and learning all you can. Go to an SPL show and observe. Ask questions and learn. J

WTB old L7's, RE XXX's, amps etc
Thanks. J

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Yes they'll be fine. Do I think you spent way too much? Yeah.That.If you can return it you could do much better for the same scratch. I got the subs for 430$ for 2 L7 12s, and the prime 1200 for 300, where did i overpay? The subs are around 300$ each online and the amp is 290$ online 2 12" GCONS IMO would have been better. But if you are happy that is what matters. J

The pipe was a gift from a friend that took his own life in oct 2013. That pipe is the last piece of glass he ever blew. Dude was a Jedi at blowing glass.Sorry bro. And those candies look diesel. J

The humidity in Orlando is insane in July. At least here we get the Gulf breeze.Sounds like one hell of a full plate. J The humidity is also a concern with a non-painted neck...If it is kept in the case it should be ok. With the level of care this guitar seems to be handled with, I could not see it having a warped neck. Hell my Dean Metalman flying V bass has some VERY minor warp due to military moving. Kinda happens when the crate is in a monsoon. Outside. Uncovered. With forklift holes in it.Yes all the periods were intentional. J Doesn't dean coat their necks though? Didn't think they had an oil rubbed option. That makes a HUGE difference as the oil doesn't seal anything up.I am not really scared it is that way, but it makes me want to see it first hand which unless he really can't sell it won't happen Mine is no longer in production. It does have an oil rubbed neck option from what I remember, which mine I doubt has. There is a HUGE difference between the Asian made and assembled, and the USA made and assembled models. The USA ones are customs, and cost a pretty penny more. You also get it exactly as you want it, with no compromise. Honestly, if I wanted to blow a good chunk of change on a Dean, I would have a custom bass made. The lack of stocked fretless is very dissapointing. J Absolutely bummed the Fender plant in Japan closed as it rivaled US plants in many regards. Now that China/Indonesia/Mexico make out of country guitars I am not interested in imports.I can only speak to the playability of the bass, but on the jazz and precision bass, you can easily tell the difference between made in mexico, and made in the US. I won't even touch, much less consider a non US Fender. Keep in mind, I have never played a Japaneese one, but have heard them and they sounded incredible. Looked like the necks were a tiny bit thinner, with lighter frets as well.J Fender had different specifications on the foreign models. Wouldn't be surprised if they protected the US bass market. Jackson was a big proponent of making things somewhat consistent. Same hardware, neck, setup, just slightly cheaper wood but the craftsmanship is what you normally can't replace. That was more than adequate in Japan and fails like hell elsewhere in the world.Jackson changed the game on guitars period. They wanted the kid off the street to get the same ax he saw his favorite artist playing on stage. No differences besides tuning. Before that, this was damn near impossible, as everyone played customs. J

My other guitars have been American made. The only difference was the flying V, and I purchased that while on my first deployment. Like I said before, once I am in my own home again, I do intend to start hanging more pieces on the wall. J

Yes it does. I think you would love their tour. Can't beat free, getting to see some of the classic/rare Deans, as well as playing the current product line. The owner has an insane collection of Deans that predate his owning the company. The custom shop answers any question you can think of. J
