Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Right there with you. I have been on Fluticasone and finally feel normal. After 2/3 of the monster bottle cherry NyQuil (name brand) and 6.5 hrs of sleep before class and another 4 after class has me feeling much better. I think a steam shower here in a bit combined with going to the gym after math tonight should help finish knocking it out. J

What color are you painting it? Metallic purple Brother, drop the cash to do it right. We all suck at doing shit right with our women. When we have a chance to do something right, or just phone it in, we need to do our best. This is one situation where money is the key to happiness. Plus, you gotta look at how much shit you give her (like we all have do to our own) and ask yourself if she is worth it. J

My buddies dad had it and he works at Budweiser. They give out beer for safety awards, but he just had to cut it out for a long while. He was also to the point of just sitting in a chair for his time off. Beer for safety awards...LOLWorking at a place like that, it makes sense. Like steaks at a slaughterhouse. J

This is some of the most meaningful writing I have seen in a long time. Well said Jared. Also makes me want to reevaluate things as well. J Wow, guess I went on a tyrant. Still pertinent to the discussion though. (Hadn't smoked yet to dull my senses)J, you should always reevaluate life. Often if not daily. I try to reevalute where i am in life a few times a year at the least. It usually happens when something significant occurs. The main issue is deciding what needs fixing, and what is good as it is.J What works for me is writing down my goals, plans and just general things I have to do or want to accomplish. I make the lists on my phone in the notepad. I can Get everything written down and out my head, then I can focus on one thing at a time. I reflect on the lists often. This helps me stay in touch with my short and long term goals. Also not being afraid to admit when something isn't important, or is not working anymore, and being about to cut my loses. Keeps life organized and is efficient.I may try this out. Sounds effective as hell. J Reflecting on the lists helps me to prioritize what I am doing with my time. Hell, sometimes they just give me a perspective change, and thats all I need. When nothing else can change, then change your perspective is my motto. Honestly I have you to thank for that train of thought Matt. I tend to try to change my perspective when jothing else can change. Lately thats been harder to do than before. I think I need to. Go pick these books up and have a read. The titles are enough to usually dissuade me as they sound like 'here let me help you get the sand out of your vagina' books honestly. With glowing reccomendations from people I respect, I am more than happy to give them an open minded read and see what I can pick up. J

I would do it right the first time. If you regret not doing it full tilt, what happens? You either live with regret, or spend the money to re-do it. If you do it to the full amount, and look at it and say you could have skated by with just the paint, your out less than re-doing it. Plus if you decide to sell it later it increases the resale amount, and it would show great at the car show. J Just got off the phone with them. The total is 14,065 for show quality. I honestly have put so much work into this car, I know I would regret it. So ya, pretty much just pulled the trigger. Will have it media blasted by next Thursday. The dude don't mess around, and is on my level.I think that was the best decision. Local guy? Reputable? J He Is the best in the area. He specializes in restoring old cars, not collision repair. I have seen quite a few of his jobs, and he came highly recommended from several people I trust. Sounds perfect man. J

"Goto" lenses in everyone's bag should be (crop sizes listed):17-55 2.850 1.4 (1.2 is even better)70-2002x extenderIf you start with those you are golden. Matt would start with the 70-200, I'd start with the 17-55. He shoots headshots and portraits and I shoot things. After that list, a 11-16 2.8 would be a good addition.Beyond there you are looking at more primes.Obviously all of the numbers are "flexible" I used the Canon ones. If you shoot people you should invest in the cannon 2.8 70-200 USM ii. I'm sure Nikon offers something similar. I will say though that the Canon version is the absolute best in the biz. Thanks Sean and Matt. I am fortunate enough to have a friend in the pawn business who is happy to help, so I am hoping to have her browse the inventory to see what she can do. BTW what is a 2x extender??? J

I'd be glad to help...but it is hard for me to dumb down things. I don't mean that in a mental way, but solely physical.ie, if a dish that I do the prep work on for 15 minutes and it takes you 2 hours will you still make it?Knife skills are the single most critical thing to learn in the kitchen. My friends regularly ask for a cooking class and I pretty much require they go to a knife skills class first, otherwise we spend all the time in teh world on prep and never get to cooking.Mies en place is the first and always followed rule in cooking. If it takes forever to get there though you will get frustrated.I do think a knife course would certainly be beneficial for me. Where did you go to get your knife skills? Sad that even though I grew up around bars and restaurants my drink making skills are average and my knife skills aren't even close to good. J

Also, there was a DSLR lens in F/2.8 that I recall you guys discussing as a 'should get' piece of glass. I am looking into new glass at the end of the semester, what size was it you guys were talking about again? J

Sean - Nice of you to make that for your son. I bet he loved every bite of that more than you will ever know. Sorry to hear BK fucked your stomach like a Chinese hooker. - as for what we want to see out of your life, I'd kind of like a 'cooking with Sean' series. Little tips and tricks, and shit to make cooking at home simpler. J

We do buy back 'old stock' from smaller business' as well. I have put smaller slicers in bars, and Elks lodge kitchens. And yes Raiff Bros Inc. has been around for about 90 years now. My father currently runs it, and I am not directly involved. I could have been, but honestly did not see staying in WNY as a great life move in comparison to Active Duty in 2005, or moving to FL in 2013. WNY is too expensive, and honestly I get sick of seeing the same people, doing the same shit, the same way 5+ years after I saw them last. Makes life depressing, and quite often drags you down too. J

I like the look, but I also am curious about the service records like Sean is. Additionally the lack of a head on shot makes me wonder if it has frontend damage from a prior accident.J Honestly was just curious what you guys thought of the murdered out look. Had no intentions of buying or even test driving that particular one. (Is 3.5hrs away and way over KBB value) My taste for most things is an "industrial" or "steampunk" look. As far as cars I like "atomic" era body styling. My point is I would not buy a car to boost my ego or impress ppl. Is strictly for fun. Sean nailed on the head though as far as the persona. Hadn't veiwed it that way.Never saw you as an egotistical guy at all. Too damn down to earth and humble for that shit. J I don't really follow current fashions a whole lot either. Kinda sway to the beat of my own drum. Guess I should of ran black rims when it was in. lol Sean could of said it looks like a 17 yo's car and would of meant about the same as what he posted. Usually means you can find shit cheaper than normal. Not a bad thing bro. J

FM radio = more bass than iPhone signal?
Here in St Pete I know 98 rock does boost the lower end of the frequency spectrum when sending out the signal. J

Sorry to hear Sean. He looks in great spirits though!! Quick reminder, do not give him ANYTHING with a straw, to suck on, or that is red. Sucking on anything can rip the blood clots off and potentially cause a huge issue in a quick amount of time, just like a bad caugh can. Red liquid often in a moment of 'panic' can look quite like blood. Not good when it comes to a loved one. Had to learn about these after having 5 joes, an ex wife, and 4 friends kids have them out all within 3 years. J

I have owned and worked on more than you have cars. The questions are what do you REALLY want to do with it, how crazy do you want to get, and what is your budget? Remember my family owns the WNY part of Hobart. I can always call home and see what I can do for ya. Yes we do take CC over the phone, and we do ship via UPS. Even freight if need be. I also have about 5 different resturant supply shops around here that love selling shit for decent prices. Feel free to PM me with questions, or details if you don't want to post, J

Thanks. My dumb ass just put the console back in. Getting to the back side of the rear cig lighter however was not obvious. That one is switched. Normal lighter isn't which is EASY to get to.Check the fuse box. You MIGHT be able to re-route the wires from there, making the front cig lighter be ignition dependent.JI wonder if the amplifier wire is ignition switched? If so, I am willing to cut that harness to extract the one wire I need...Break out the test light and give it a go Sean. Keep in mind that may have a 2-5 second delay relay on it. J

wall help
One that is one hell of a number to shoot for unless you have built walls before. In this game, chasing numbers takes time, patience, and shit tons of rebuilds. Go do some research as to what others with your vehicle have done and go from there. J
