Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Why should it be? The SKU would indicate a USA model.JI was wrong. USA starts with J too but less numbers after. HmmWell damn. That complicates things a bit. J

Guitar Center is great for finding stuff. I'll also check with my buddy's wife who is a manager at a chain pawn shop down here. J

I was not aware of that. I will ensure I keep that in mind when I look. I've found a few with painted necks, but nothing oiled. J

I appreciate it, just don't want you running around special. I am chasing a needle in a haystack and know it, but have time to. The one shop claims they get in the SL1-4 models quite often. I'll be checking with them iften as they have an extensive selection. I was shocked to see some of the Peavy Tbass' hanging up there. J

I can understand your views Sean. I figure if I can find you a good deal, I am happy to help. God knows you and the rest of the IHoP crew have helped me more than you realize. J

The only reason I'm going to check is because we have a few mom and pop shops in the area that sell shit dirt cheap, and quiteoften do not know what they have on their hands. As an example a 68 Gibson Les Paul was tagged for 175 because the pickups didn't work for them. The guy who picked it up after I set it down to go talk to the woman purchased it. I saw him play it a few weeks later at a show in Tampa, and spoke to him afterwards. Only thing wrong with it was a bad solder. Easily a 5k+ guitar at that price?? This is God's waiting room down here. Families clean out their relatives home's without checking into a damn thing for pennies on the dollar all the time. J

That is Indonesian or Mexican. If there is anything "bolting" on the neck it is a sure sign. Thanks for looking. I watch CL nationwide ...although not often enough. If you see something when you are randomly in a store though let me know. what you are after is a 'neck through' body then, got it. J

Good reference picture. I won't be going any place out of my way at all. I am looking to either start playing bass or regular guitar again, and as such am looking for what feels right. What I have in mind and what my wallet says are two different guitars (as far as bass goes) but for six string, I am uncertain what I want at this point. It's just a bunch of sitting, playing and seeing what feels right again. J

I want to hear you play.Next time I come over.I'll bring the masters bourbon, and some tobacco!;-)NO. Next time we should have snow and we go for a rip. Realize what I can play now is theory, not songs. 20 years ago is a long time to remember anything, lol.Might go grab this as an interim solution:http://www.musicgoroundroseville.com/p/254741/used-jackson-pro-soloist-sl2-electric-guitar-transparent-red-burstIt is setup right...although it is Indonesian so I will need to spend some time with the neck to make sure it doesn't suffer from fret buzz like so many low action guitars (including the Jacksons) do.Sounds like maybe you need to go to a factory and design your own axe.JNa, I'll shop for used ones and rotate. Too many other suckers willing to pay $6k for a guitar that I can buy a year later for $2k. I know it means I'll have to flip a bunch but that is okay. When I find a cherry like my '56 I'll keep it.Well if you find yourself looking for anything specific I can keep an eye out down here. I visit a few shops a month.J neck through (oiled not painted neck) Jackson soloist either made in Japan or the USA. I'd prefer Japan actually as it should be $500 vs $1200. Sl2 or sl4 preferred as well as I'd like dual humbuckers. Sl1 or sl3 OK as well though if the rest is there. If I were ordering it'd be with a Floyd rose but buying used (is noncommittal) means I'd buy either to replace the ibanez soonerNo SL's on craigslist down here at the moment, but I will be hitting a few shops this week for myself. If I see anything worth noting, I'll shoot you a message. J

Actually their current lineup at the food and wine festival at Disney is outstanding. Great solo bits that change every set. As for recordings, I can't help ya there.JSurprised Gillis is back playing with them again, but that explains the solo bits that vary. Dude has serious chops.Very true. The only mainstream guitar players that have strongly impressed me in the last few years are Zakk Wylde of BLS and Sinister Gates of Avenged Sevenfold. J
