Welcome to the IHoP v.2
I'm seriously looking forward to getting into a house so I can do this. The girl would love fresh veggies and I wouldn't object either. I've been cleaning up the diet and am doing more meal prep. It will make work life easier as my days will be a tad unpredictable but microwaves are available in most of the spots I'll be working in. In the mean time I've been flipping some guitars as I find worthwhile ones in pawn shops and such. Recently sold an Ibanez 8 string limited edition model for almost 3x what I had in to it. Today I found a 2017 Jackson that I should be able to make a few bucks on despite the nicks in the finish. Finishing up a knock off Gibson LP Custom Shop for myself. Should look amazing when I'm done. Still looking for a Gibson LP bass though. J

So basically we have about 3 weeks a year for a jacket during the daytime. J

I've never found one I felt was comfortable enough to purchase. Plus I just couldn't see myself wearing one with a polo. Maybe next month I'll go look at another one and see how it works. Wool is great with heat and cold. The humidity can be stifling here though. Especially since my office is 400 yards off the inner coastal and maybe 1.5 miles from the Gulf itself. J

Not a bad thing at all man. I usually enjoy a good reason to wear the suit. Just not daily. J

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Thanks man. I am excited to be supporting the people who are helping to support my fellow Veterans. The lifestyle there is definitely different than the Military. Change seems to come slowly, and has resistance. They do. However between my budget, variety of tasks, and necessity for the position they aren't the best choice for a day in-day out wardrobe. J

It's also business casual. Slacks and polos. For presentations though I'll be putting on a suit by choice. I never want to be the under-dressed guy. J

First official day in the office. This looks to be a great position for me. Lots of potential for upward mobility too. Once fully familiar with the programs I will be running the orientation for new Veterans as well as new hires. I won't be doing all the presenting, but a good chunk of it. I'll also be working with their multimedia departments in video and photography. The amount of gear they have is incredible. It's like B&H sold them one of everything. J

It's not a bad thing that they are being careful. Better than other groups are being. J

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
I can make it so you aren't concerned about it nearly as much. Kinda pricey though. J

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
So I have a really odd question I never thought I would ask here. Anyone have to buy a bedside lamp recently? I'm looking for a bedside table lamp that is able to dim, has USB charging, and is well made. I'm trying to kill the electronics before sleep, and see if reading a bit before bed might help me fall asleep sooner than usual. It seems like much of the Amazon offerings are cheaply made and poorly designed, and nothing seems to pop up on Target, Wal*Mart, or HD with these features. J

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
So after my printer died I ended up with another Canon. Considering the budget I wanted to spend, I found something that will work great. J

As Jared said the cheap ones when changed accordingly works just fine. I have used the 3M filters when I had to buy my own, and my current landlords provide these craptastic cheap filters. I have noticed no difference at all in terms of dust, length of life for the filter, or breathing quality. I'm also not horribly sensitive. J

That is a damn rare combination there. Personally, I compete pretty well, but I usually go balls out on it. I have a deep seeded desire to win, and will do so at almost all costs. I won't directly hamstring somebody to win, but if I can snake an advantage without causing you direct harm, you best believe I'll do that. Let me give you and example. While I was in we had a canned food drive for the less fortunate. The shop with the biggest donation would get a 4 day pass, 3 day pass, and two weeks of no PT or formation in the morning. So I typed up a letterhead and sent it to our local Sam's Club and Costco. Took 4 trucks to get everything they donated. The other shops had less than a truck load combined. Our shop got everything and an additional recognition from the base as a Battalion for having the biggest donation of any unit on the base. Unit got funds for one hell of a party from MWR too. J

They spread faster than Coronavirus. The sense of humor comes from a variety of places and the mentality of learning from mentors is drilled into many of us from day one. The 'train the trainer' mentality runs rampant with us, and many of us carry that beyond our time in uniform. Same thing with teamwork. We know that teamwork makes the dream work. As for the crap ones....they wash out and get cast away quickly. They either learn to adapt or move the fuck on. J
