Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Did it last year. Honestly, I'll take FL any day. Lower cost to live, less taxes, and the Gulf to go hang out in. It feels like home. NY no longer does. J

Everyone here (ie that watches the news) is pissed. I think it is great. Bortles at 3 is stupid. No QB should have been taken before pick 20 or so.I'm just pissed Buffalo gave up so much for Sammy Watkins. I wouldn't have minded so much for Clowney Hopefully the kid is half as good as he seems. J

Which airport? ORD or MDW? If Ohare, I'd eat at Bayless's restaurant.ORD. I have a 40 min layover on the way to BUF and 3 hrs on my way back. J depends a bit on your gate but the bayless stop is goodAppreciate it. I may look for it on Sunday and if I pass it and somehow have time today I will check it out. Side note, baggage fees can fucking blow me. J

I may but I don't think it would be of use as it is a Verizon phone and has a cracked screen. J

What about a unipod? If your not using a timer it may be the best option as they can fold up smaller and be more user friendly in smaller spots.JUnipods are functionally useless IMOWorked great for concerts when the 'press line' was pushed back about 20 yards behind the front row due to flames. Not saying its a great idea, just tossing it out there.JHow did it benefit you? Exactly why I asked. You are traveling to Italy where that won't happen. J of course may have been in that situation. Just wanted to clarify.Between people walking by and such it made it easier to pick up drop and set for that band. Lens wasnt heavy but with consistantly changing light it helped having a steadier surface than free hand did. As for a mini tripod, they do make one footers. J

Afrin really opens up the sinuses. I snort that and 2 aspirin and it lets me breathe almost all night. I doubt it would keep you up either. Aspirin will act faster than any other NSAIDs from personal tests, and now studies are comming around to agree with me. :-) Snorting afrin??? LOL J

Position was offered but it was not to work at the VA but rather for a legal firm that helps Veterans get the VA to unfuck themselves. Three separate positions were open and the choice was up to me. Problem is the benefits package is (as also said by the interviewer) shit, and they only offered 26k salary. Needless to say thats far less than the last position I worked at, and with child support I cannot take shit pay as well as shit benefits. The hunt continues. J have you tried checking usajobs?I need to get back on there, J

1250 2x a week is nice.$100 per car is useless and bullshit. 8 cars is a REALLY good average yearly for most places. ie, you never hit ANY bonuses. You should ask how many guys hit the 10+ unit bonus per month. Used car sales? 10 is close to expected. New car, not so much.If that pay scale was for used, then I'd run like fucking hell. Used cars should still be commissionable. This covered new and used sales. J

Ended up leaving the orientation. Got a call to interview working in assisting Veterans in submitting their VA claims, and suffice to say I have a huge soft spot for Veterans. Might it be less money than selling cars? More than likely. Is the personal rewards much higher? Yes. J

I fucking hate hearing that. Hell the guy who sold me my Tundra made shit easy for both of us. 'I can do the figure your asking for, but at that price I lose all of my comission. Lets meet in the middle. You save some cash, I make my comission. Everyone wins.' Was he full of shit? Somewhat, considering it was brand new. Did it work to hear some honest? Fuck yes. J

Que? I may know a thing or 2 about the industry Working sales at a Chevy dealership.Stuck on the finance aspects of it. Wanting to ensure I can make proper cash without a real issue.J"proper" is relative. My second month I made $8k doing it, but that isn't so normalI will be a happy camper if I am clearing 5k gross a month. It would be quite a bit more than I have been earning. J

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Just spent almost two hours on the phone with a cousin I don't talk to a shit ton for some advice, as she has worked at a dealership for almost 10 years. While she is not in sales, she does the finance and has some great friends in sales who have told her enough over the years. The discussion eased a good amount of my concerns. Only thing that still has me iffy is the 350 deposit for the training tools That is refunded after 30 ays, any thoughts on this? That being said, I need to purchase new long sleeve shirts, some slacks and something comfortable for shoes. Short sleeves and polos are out for me as my tattoos show in them. I have ample ties, and some belts. Shirts are 18 34/35 or XL, shoes are a 10-10.5 and need to have some width as my feet are fat. Add in shitty knees and a back that tightens easily, and I want to ensure my comfort. Any suggestions? Thanks for all the help over the years guys. Hopefully this will be a step in the right direction. J
