  1. I aint heard Juvi in a long time.
  2. We're not talking about a trained government official going for a kill shot. For someone wanting personal protection I gaurantee a shot of 410 birdshot to the face, 2 or 3 45 magnums to the chest will do the job. ^^^ Ill take a shot gun shell to a single slug anyday.
  3. I will never have an automatic for personal protection. I keep a taurus 3" judge with 3/0 buckshot in the cupholder in my DD. A American Darenger 38 special in my back pocket(when I'm not working). And my old lady keeps a lady's 38 special in her dd, and a 2" judge in her purse.
  4. Nope, you got to read the fine print on the tube. It states "nominal" 12 inch. I don't understand why they are off that much either.
  5. did a little work on the mold for the flares
  6. It'll be a week or two before I am able to do the build. You will be looking at 305 plus shipping for flushed baffle, kerfed port inlayed with suede. If you would like the enclosure wrapped in suede or vinyl it will be 400 plus shipping. I would fire the subs up with a centered kerf port firing forward.
  7. I need to know the orientation of the enclosure. I assume 48" wide. Below the window line? If so what is the max height? Regular charcoal carpet or something fancy? Regular port, kerffed port? Single baffle, double baffle? Subs flushed?
  8. Going to be shipped in a wooden crate to Memphis. Actually shipping wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be
  9. enclosure for 6 Kicker cvx 15's 24 cubic feet net tuned to 35 hertz with two 12" ports with custom made flares. Double baffle plus a third layer for flush mount, with a ton of interior bracing. Wrapped in tan vinyl with black suede inlays. Pictures are just a general layout and do not show flares or internal bracing. (It would take me damn near as long to draw them as it will to build them. LOL)
  10. Is the total length 17 or just the pipe? Don't forget half of each flares' radius adds to the effective port length.
  11. Well, I was going to recomend doing a Rane AC 225 active crossover for your processing, but that'll put you a tad over budget.
  12. I assume you are going 3 way? (didn't read all 3 pages) Are you trying to pinch pennies?
  13. Who gives a flying fart what it's going to sound like. The only way to keep the industry alive is people like you enjoying the hobby. It sounds like y'all are having fun playing around with a new setup and wanted to share with everyone. I dont know why anyone would want to scoff at that. And any one mature enough should realize this and be encouraging.
  14. I know scion makes a car with a Subaru boxer engine
  15. Using 6 in ports each one needs to be 15" long if you have 7 cubes net.
  16. That unit should automatically play when you insert the disk. Try it in your home DVD player and make sure it works.
  17. The softparts on the one pictured are the same exact parts you would find on other US companies' subs.
  18. The surround is overkill, it's 32mm (I think), we are going with a rubber 25 wide x 25 tall surround on the 15 and a 24 wide x 24 tall surround on the 10 and 12. With a slightly lighter cone and an aluminum dustcap.
  19. It'll work but this type enclosure isn't my type. Just like any other sub these will work in a wide range of enclosures. The soft parts aren't to spec I just used them to abuse test the coil and motor. But in a 2.5 cubic foot enclosure tuned to 20 hertz it gets pretty nasty for a "sq" sub. I'll have mire info in a few weeks when the correct parts arrive. In the mean time look at the other thread with the flex videos.
  20. They are fairly decent. Good for factory replacements.
  21. Remember these are 6th order bandpass so they are a little louder than a typical ported box. But they allow me to see what the coils and motors can handle. These are in no way "spl" sub either. After all they only have 15 Bl. My Devine series with 375 bl^2/re motor force factor will be geared for daily groundpounding. I had two goals for this line when I approached Dan. No. 1 sound as good and outperform a JL w6. No.2 be able to price these subs cheaper than a w6 while keeping dealer's margin higher than the JL. So what this means is the typical customer looking for a w6 or similar sub can buy a better sub at a cheaper price while the dealer makes more money than they would on the other sub.
  22. Genesis motor coned to a 15" with same 500 watts in a 6th order bandpass same 10" in 6th order bandpass in a 2010 civic trunk. Again on 500 watts
  23. If it the same series subs with identical motors and similar suspension compliances in separate boxes that have similar responses I highly doubt someone could say there is a 15 and a 12 in his trunk with out looking at them. I wouldn't do it, but I know I woulnt know the difference unless I was told.
  24. Although it is a small enclosure if you can give me a Max height and max width I can make it as shallow as possible to save you a little trunk space. I will make a sketch-up of the enclosure once you approve the design I will send an invoice to your paypal. Once payment has cleared the enclosure will ship out within seven(7) business days
