  1. These aren't exaggerated excursion levels like a free air video or videos with huge amounts of power to push the sub to its mechanical limits. These videos were performed with apprx. 450 watts clamped which is what will be recommended for daily use. At 70% BL these subs have 25mm one way excursion.
  2. not a problem I should have been a little more detailed on the title. Should have said 10" sub videos with Genisis XBL^2 motor !!!
  3. .75 cubic feet tuned to 40 hertz with appx 450 watts clamped
  4. I didnt check the model to see how old it is but if it's an older pioneer its software will not recognize a newer iPhone, or an iPhone at all
  5. Even though the cones and spiders I recieved were not correct I was able to come up with a little something to test the coil and motor I will be using. You can see from the pictures the OD of the surround is a little to close to the mounting holes. The spider was also a little large so that had to be trimmed a bit. So far I am happy with the coil. 250-500 watts is all that will be needed for daily listening. Any more power really didn't result in much more output on the TL that would justify more power for daily listening. I ran a Bass Mechanic cd on it full tilt for 30 min straight with apprx. 980 watts clamped and the "Coil Bonder" glue smelled a little but the coil looked and functioned properly. So far I have put about 30 hours of play on it and it looks and sounds fine.

  7. Instead of using jb weld see if you can find an isomethacrylate adhesive. Some when applied to metal cures so hard it can not be scrapped off. It must be cut off with a metal lathe.
  8. As others have said. I would look into a sa-12. It have a little more performance than the dcon
  9. What exactly is optimal? The only optimal enclosure is one that is best for your needs. Maybe he can't afford a new box or maybe this box is the optimal size for his space requirements.
  10. I see no problem running an xcon IB however running 3 in your trunk is getting close to the volume 3 subs would use in a normal enclosure. So you end up with back pressure just like a sealed enclosure. In other words your trunk will be pressurized just like a box would be
  11. swap the rca around at the amp and see if the opposite speakers whine
  12. Well after 3 months of dealing with the "go to" American soft parts company and recieving samples that borderline laughable. They say they can't offer anything without 18 grand worth of tooling. So I will be getting everything except coils from china. It's looking like towards the end of august I'll have proper prototypes running of both the genisis and divine subs
  13. If this guy is telling you to do your 3 xcons IB in your trunk I highly recommend another installer. You won't end up with an IB set up. You will have what amounts to a leaky 11.9 sealed enclosure
  14. Isn't this the wire Allen Dante uses?
  15. The motor for the divine weighs 96 pounds and is 11 inches in diameter. The genisis 12 weighs about 35 pounds total.
  16. Thanks, but Mark is going to take care of that for us.
  17. Got a few more parts in from China today. Still waiting on my American parts to arrive, they might be in next week. Below is a side view of the Genisis 10"
  18. 130 + 42 shipping = 172 shipped
  19. Go on YouTube and search "JunkMan". He knows his stuff and all of his videos are "idiots guide" to detailing.
  20. Of course. I can make them however you want as always. THESE enclosures are budget friendly if you want something bigger all you gots to do is ask.
  21. Yea buy two dual boxes
