  2. Part are due to be delivered tomorrow. As long as things keep going well at the hospital drivers will start shipping the end of next week.
  3. I am just a fan of using the proto stuff, if you know TheLow on **** ( hmm didn't know c.a.c.o. was a dirty word here ) or JL Audio on caraudio.com, you'll see I have/had a ton of proto.. lol just wanted to add to the collection and try the awesome proto woofer out. I followed alton on his FB and sent him a msg asking if he was interested in selling it for any price. I'm willing to pay nicely for it if he'll part with it. wanting to do it, bc5500 etc in my hummer to give it a proper home. currently running 2 of the 3 cascade designs h1 neo woofers off a crossfire xs-8k. All I own is neo so i'm wanting to go back to a single great woofer. Not only is it a proto but it'll never get produced. It's a 1 of 1
  4. That's what happens when your not 10 percent smarter than the equipment you are operating.
  5. kinda hard to not be loud with 6 15's

  7. you better wipe them finger prints of my chrome.
  8. I've received several emails and PM's on how I create my spider packs. I needed to make some more jigs to keep up with production so I figured I'll show how I do it. The spiders I use do NOT lay flat they must be pressed. This is how they look stacked. This is the bottom portion of the jig. It has cut outs for the spider to lay into along with cut outs for the leads. I put a bead of glue around the outside and the inside diameter of the spider. It doesn't take much just a small bead. Then they are stacked on top of each other. In this case 4. Note that NO accelerator is used ONLY CA glue. Then the top goes on and is tightened down with the bolt and nut. The bolt on this jig is long enough for two jigs at the same time. After 5 minutes, yes 5 minutes it is taken apart and your left with a sandwiched spider pack.
  9. 2 of the 4 sold only 2 available until I verify stock
  10. Four more motors opened back up for sale.
  11. As long as they get my stuff on the 18 wheeler before they shut down I'll be on schedule. It's all riding on them.
  12. That's probably the most shamefull thing I've seen in a while. I'll remember to give him a call after lunch to inform him of the piracy. Although he's humble enough he probably won't even worry about it. That man's involvement in the industry is why 95% of the product on the market is out there. I find it pathetic people can justify stealing decades of knowledge like that. Mark, Aaron, or a mod needs to remove that link from SSA.
  13. That's why I don't ask questions on here. People are plenty happy to shoot ideas down without offering anything constructive. It's never gotten me anywhere.Check out the speaker cook book. It's got good stuff in it but I think it's a little more than what you are looking for at this point in time. I read a little of it. It's pretty good. I think most of what Quentin was talking about was trying to get a perfectly flat response. You would be fine with a 6" aeroport IMO. No where in any of my post were there anything remotely involving response. Only thing I talked about is port area. Vehicles have transfer function therefore you do NOT want to build a system with a flat response. I don't give out links to calculators because they are worthless to anyone who doesn't understand the basic physics behind enclosure design. But a copy of the cookbook. They come back with specific questions and we will be happy to help.
  14. I agree. Makes them seem like lazy fucks who don't really care. I mean what salesman is gonna go beyond what he needs to do to satisfy the customer if he's not compensated for the extra effort.
  15. Better than sounding like an ignorant redneck with a speech impediment.
  16. Have you tried contacting any of the major online tuning companies or did you want to do a dyno tune? I contacted sct for my mustang and it was tunes for life and a tuner for 4xx. Even when I was looking at a supercharger setup. They said they could do a pretty balls on accurate tune for 81/87/93 octane.Blackbear will "rent" you a box for acquiring or sell you one so they tune to what you have. I just hadn't really ever thought about initial startup before. Was also too cheap to dyno my first car when I built it. Suppose it is the same. Fat and happy. Just didn't know if you could force the ECU to be smart and fat and happy.Procharger includes a baseline tune you can run on but won't make a ton more power till you a actually get it dialed in more.I mean when you get it all done you can just have the bof exhaust all boost then take it where ever you need to to get it tuned. I know the kits include a baseline but they also expect no major changes in everything else. Since I am throwing that out the window it is custom time. Just don't understand how you start then.I think you might be destined for a dyno only tune. Which can be ridiculous, a local dyno shop here quoted me 300 + 100 and hour and I had to buy my own tuner which is about 5xx or so.Why not get a Hennesey upgrade? Some of the Hennesey camaros, corvettes, cts-v's are pretty badassFor $15k from Hennessey in an Escalade you get 550hp. I can do that for $3k. $15k will get me more than 1000.And your lucky to get that from them. I wouldn't trust those asshats with a 5,000 foot pole. Do a search on them. There has been many installs especially on vipers where customers received head and cam work to find out stuff like factory head bolts had never been removed.
  17. For proper enclosure design get a copy of loudspeaker cookbook. Even if I showed how it's done it's illegal to use even for personal purposes with out the patentee's consent.
  18. The area of the port isn't the issue. Any driver with at least 20mm of coil overhang utalizing proper port area will need a port in excess of 30 inches long. I know how to go about creating nearly unlimited port length with a round port without using elbows or bends but the average Joe or even these so called box designers don't know how to. And FYI if a so called designer wants to build you a octagon shaped port run far away as quick as possible. It's either tuned to 50 hertz or it's only about 25 percent of the nessecary port area needed for the system. There is no way a 30 to 50 inch long port of that nature will fit in typical box. Unless they know what I know and even if they do they would be impeding on proprietary patented information.
  19. Just wait till your emotions take over. Seroquel will take care of that.
  20. The size or port surface area has nothing to do with "what you are trying to do". There are only three things that dictate port area 1. Driver sd 2. Driver Xmax 3. Enclosure tuning Number 1 and 3 are easy. Good luck with 2. No one gives a Xmax rating that is associated with Richard Small's minimum port area formula. Xmax is defined as coil overhang, not the rating published by most. 99.999% PVC ports won't work unless you are tuning incredibly high or you are using no where enough port area.
  21. I would have trouble drinking $4 in wine let alone that much.I couldn't drink a $4 bottle either Ah, but I did not type that. I was simply conveying my dislike of wine. need to send a few fifths of mine
  22. And yes. Each port must be whatever length the port must be for tuning.
  23. No need to add length to the port depending on the formula used. The most common equations have something along the lines of... )+r^.5 At the end if the formula. This is the "extra" length people refer to. It's already calculated in the formula.
