  1. This is one if the instances is recommend a 4th order bandpass
  2. [email protected] Email with your personal information to receive free software from Vance Dickason to help with enclosure and crossover design. Even has a function to figure transfer function.
  3. redrockacoustics.com The ONLY certified lab by Klippel in the US to test transducers. And the ONLY lab Vance Dickason uses Email is [email protected]. Also I'm trying to get Pat to get a Cloud running for his new transducer modeler with monthly subscriptions to help the DIY's model their frankenwoofers. Maybe a few email would help persued him. As far as I know nothing exists like this for the public.
  4. I am stoked for you Steve! I have spent quite a bit of time in Southlake area. Thats a great neighborhood!thanks dude. Hopefully it all works out with the inspection. Has new roof, new pebble tec pool, and a few other things.I have big plans for the house after closing. Can't go wrong as its only 20 years old. You REALLY cant go wrong with masonry exterior. Does the pool have a hot tub section built in? I assume you are moving your construction biz up to the DFW area?the pool does not have the spa portion. We plan to add an above ground one near the house. Looming at the Arial view, none of these houses had the hot tub. Just a pool. The biggest draw for us to this house was that it had a pool and a decent yard.My company did ask me to move up there. Sadly I don't own the company though. Back in '09 I started my own subcontractor company. When it got slow I took a job with my competition and closed up shop. Fast forward a few years. that company got bought out by a firm in Minneapolis. They are the ones who asked me to run all the projects in north Texas. My wife works from home, so she can live in any major city that her company (Nike) has an office in. Any chance she has some pull with R&D? Got a shoe idea that is not on the market at all, but cannot afford a patent. LOLJ Patents are cheap. You would more than likely be considered a micro firm therefore fees would be under $100 bucks for filing. Then you have maintenance fee which aren't bad. If you need a patent attorney. Here is a good one. Richard c calrderwood. Thanks man! Just gotta figure out how to build a prototype. I have sketches, but nothing more solid. J Give Nick wright a call. He has access to damn near everything. His proto charged are extremely reasonable. I've inquired about shoelaces and wasn't a problem. Even if he can't contact a factory to build it I know he can get a engineering drawing made up for you.

  6. mJust a noob trying to figure out all this adobe stuff. I did a good bit in school in gifted visual arts classes but that was over a decade a ago. I'll get the hang if it in a few weeks. These will be added to a full color catalog that will ship with product. The next page I'll be working on will be the recommended boxes with 3d model and cut sheet and expected frequency response. I'll also add in recommended port area for a variety of tunings. Basically everything needed to build the two boxes for each sub I listed plus a few tips to help with your own alignments.
  7. Above pricing goes into effect on 2/15/14. Current pricing is $355 SHIPPED

  9. It would be awesome if the state did that here. In the eastern and southern part of the country everybody is snowed in. And there was a 2 day warning that snow is coming. Still, people chose to travel, pregnant women chose to stay home instead of going to the nearest hospital. And now that snow is 10 ft deep in some areas, the media is going crazy over people stuck somewhere and pregnant women who can't get to the hospital. Try being in louisiana where we get freezing rain every 10 years. There were over 200 wrecks the other day and tomorrow everything is locked down for 1 inches of snow and freezing rain.
  10. I have a photo graphic memory. I can see the finish product in my head I just dont have the skill set on these damn computers to implement it. I will be working duing chinese new year on a site and gatherin g all info on the Ethos and the product that will be available fo the fall
  11. help me out. I want something like the Mc Donald arches..Somthing that when seen you KNOW its Direct sound solutions. I can build a hell of a box but my artistic abilty is lacking. It' sbeen over a decade since I delt with visual arts Oh trust me I can't do better but I think that it can be better. I know that you take a lot of pride in your brand and would like to see other options. Maybe Stefan can do something? And again this is just me, try to get a few designs and make a poll maybe? my main issue is learning curve with the programs. I can sling out stuff on paper like no body's business. Getting it to work in adobe is my down fall. I just don't have the experienc ewith the programs
  12. I'd even be willing to pay for a little help. I'd even consider paying for services. I'm sure someone around here has some mad photoshop and illustrator skills. I am wanting to go with a simple industrialized look. Nothing fancy, clean and well presented, but kinda give off a rough simple approach. I guess the best way to explain it would be facebook's approach simple clean recognizable.

  14. My noob attempt at a new steamlined logo. something that can be recognizable.
  15. You can scratch no. 6 off the list. That is all horseshit. It that was the case evey single driver which is at least tens of thousands that has been driven by a IA or Sundown amp would have burnt up. It's just too much power plain and simple. The only other option to try is to use an encapsulant that can help wick away heat. As that joint is covered in CA glue to keep it from slapping and MAY hold excess heat as it's not being cooled like the rest if the coil. The lead is actually rated for more power than the 19 gauge wire is. So technically it should the the magnet wire failing and not the lead wire.
  16. I like different stuff and I like to see new people try stuff they've never attempted. I've built plenty if just about everything. Doesn't mean I know much. Just because you do something for a while doesn't mean your doing it right. I'm sure this thread will turn into another pissing match but maybe it won't and maybe a few will help. I'll do my part others can add their helpful info too if they wish. Per Vance Dickason (the way I interpreted it) states acoustic stuffing is to be used only in a transmission line after testing and to adjust system clue. Although not really sure how much that joker really knows. Or maybe I read wrong. If your interested in a bit more of his teachings I recommend purchasing a copy of his "Loudspeaker Cookbook".
  17. No other size baskets have been ordered. There will be 18 baskets ordered after Chinese New Year making a 18 avaliable for the end of year holidays. No other sizes will be avaliable till then as I have to bulk order at least 100 at a time from china and that is a 4 to 6 month turn around. A 10 has been asked about several times. I have a couple 10 frames an parts so I'll build one. I can tell you now it will not be musically pleasing. At least not like the Ethos. It is just too much motor force. I'll build one and have it tested. If there is enough interest for something like that then I'll sell it.
  18. edited for you. This is why it's not locked. I have a bad habit of forgetting the details.
  19. Right now I'm working on getting all info in one place and get it pinned and locked so there is no confusion on specs. pricing, ect.
  20. $345 shipped for the 12 and $355 shipped for the 15. This however will change starting the first 2/15/14. My bean counters don't like having shipping already in the pricing as it adds uncertainty to profit margin due to the change in shipping depending on where you are located. Right now the shipping included in the price is an average of each of a zip code of each of the 48 con. states. When the pricing structure takes effect depending on where you are located it can change the pricing plus of minus ~$10.
