  1. w40 has some bninb stuff for sale right now. id jump on it. He sells more stuff here than the SSA stuff here more than likely. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from him and I've sold a few things to him as well. I'm also partial to Incriminator. I'd do one of their lower line subs, theri 500 watt amp, a nice customs box and wiring from Knu concepts, and maybe an addaptor if needed. This should be well with i nyour budget and be plenty loud. All this can be found in SAA's store
  2. I'll be doing a little Sq stuff mybe start with prototypes by the end of the year. Most of all that is over my head so Ill give the gurus a budget and see what they ca come up with. I just want to show a little face at some of the venues
  3. You can't. They are different. I've been an IA dealer for 6 years.
  4. This is what I need. I am a comp/show noob. I haven't been to a show in a decade. I will definantly be at scraping as it's in my back yard.
  5. I will be branching out during 2014. NO I AM NOT LEAVING SSA. What other forums, venues, specific car shows, what have you, would you like DDS to show peesense. Give me a listing.
  6. Don't know about now but in the day they were THE go to guys for alts. EVERYONE used there stuff. But this was 15 years ago.
  7. On one of the most recent threads here the man how designed the unit stated that is is only capable of measuring a couple frequencies. It is not a wide spectrum analyzer. For example it may detect destitution at 500 and 1,000 hertz but nothing below, between, or above.
  8. Samples were built and Klippeled however at large signal there wasn't enough shift in parameters from stock format to offer it.
  9. If you need help with the box I know a guy who knows a guy.
  10. Yes sir!Nice! I'm getting some ethos soon too. I just need to figure out if 15s will fit, if not then definitely some 12sfrom my understanding they like a small boxYea they do! Quentin had designed them to work well in small boxes.Have you checked this out? http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/59904-ethos-bandpass-option/?hl=%2Bethos+%2Bbandpass I had looked into the option for a strictly BP option but found it was needed after final large signal Klippel testing. The stock spider pack does well in ~3.5 total cft with a passband of ~ 25-75 hz
  11. A clipped signal creates more power over a given period. This is the only thing that will kill a sub. The coil is just a wound up wire it doesn't care what type of power it recieved as long as it does not exceed it's thermal rating it won't break. The only other reason for failure would be the tensil leads breaking which should not be an issue as the parts should work well past the mechanical clearance of the edge. Or the coil is bottoming out and the coil is shorting out on the back plate. But you should be able to hear that.
  12. Thanks bro. I think your right on the moneyNot a prob. I normally am.
  13. Too much power. The only way to burn a sub up.
  14. It's just plum retarded. The ole lady just asks if THAT"S really necessary and keeps shaking her head. And she has see a few builds in her day.
  15. To give a better idea of the size of this driver. The Magnetar 15 next to a 10 inch SSA Dcon.
  16. Layed it on my back seat and free aired it on a little 500 watt amp. Going to have to do some some in box testing with some power on a term lab to see if I'll offer the SPL coil. This thing has a TON of motor force. On only 500 watts it's moving ~15mm one way. The Ethos barely moves on this much power. The suspension on this sample takes 2,190 grams to move it 1mm one way. The suspension on the Ethos takes 1,195 grams to move it 1mm and the Sample's moving mass is almost 3 times more. The fact that it moves this much shows is motor force to moving mass ratio is pretty damn good.
  17. Had to resort to SMD.
  18. I've got plenty on my chest, thighs, and lats. And scars on my hips and under arms from suits cutting in to me. It very common for suits to cut. If not they are too loose. I've gained and lost nearly 25% of my body weight in muscle mass. The ole ladies OB told her all those creams and stuff don't work. I'd assume a dr that's felt with a few thousand pregnant woman would be right.
  19. MMAG stands for multiple magnetic air gap. As long as a transducer has more than one air gap (no mater the number) and uses what STEP calls a "diode magnet" between the gaps it falls under the MMAG patent. The "Trident" I posted a while back is just a 3 gap iteration of MMAG
  20. I think with an ass that fat, it won't fit with that depth. I'll measure though. The motor OD is 11 inches
  21. Not quite sure yet exactly. Depends on pricing and other stuff. Will be Korean built. Mono blocks under 2k, a 4 channel. If pricing is reasonable all amps will be full range with available external DSP. Depending on their workload I plan on Enrique and Pat to design some Low reluctance MMAG highs tweeters and Vance will be doing the crossover networks. Time frame will be dependent on their workload. But first I have to get them to design some soft parts for a 15 that'll handle 65mm one way throw. I have a lot planned just have to see what can be done in the time allowed.
