There is a fabric jacket between the wire and rubber jacket. It is purposely designed to slide. You have to remember this stuff is made for welders where the lead may be 4 or 500 feet long. Allowing the cable to slide in the jacket makes it much easier to maneuver.

It won't. Go to Vance Dickason's website. He has an option on the site to sigh up for free software. The software is in excel and is designed by Patrick Turnmire. All you do is type in basic specs and it will calculate more specific specs and has options for sealed and ported boxes. It will also calculate the rms power for the driver to hit Xmax in your entered enclosure. There are also crossover calculators and a spreadsheet that gives cabin gain per your entered room info.

threw the 12 in a test box on a Kicker 500 at 4 ohms and I think I'm going to be more than satisfied for a DD. I don't think I'll crank the bass knob up much with proper power. This measly 250 watts is enough to get a little windshield flex.
