  1. Yea I have no desire to overcharge. A good profitable margin is good enough. No need to charge 120 percent Mark up like everyone else.
  2. Maybe I need to increase price to $450 to slow demand?
  3. Transfer function would be better firing it to the side versus up. I'll look at it later tonight.
  4. Post your max dimensions and how you want the port and sub to face.
  5. $142.95 plus shipping. This comes with EVERYTHING needed to recone.
  6. If you have a layaway plan your motors are being held.
  7. Only 24 Ethos left for presale. Once these are sold the next batch of Ethos will not be available until the beginning of February 2015.
  8. While the car is apart put deadener on each rear quarter panel. They rattle and flex like a tin can.
  9. No the 12 is the 12. The 10 uses a 15 image. The 10 looks like my avatar.
  10. Myth #1. Subwoofer size has ABSOLUTLY no effect on "speed." A 15" sub will play the same as a 10" or 12" even 18". An improperly designed enclosure is to blame for double bass drums muddling together. Having said that, if you have space restrictions, a 12" would probably be a safer bet. Have you measured what fits? Or at least what space you're willing to give up? On a properly designed transducer this is correct. But take a motor designed for a 12 and throw a 18 inch moving mass coupled with it's air load and you have transient issues. There is a reason why the motor on a JL w7 8 is smaller than the motor on a JL w7 13. The Ethos motor was designed for a 15 and the enclosures I recommend ensure proper response. This is why every single customer that has bought an Ethos regardless the size says its one of the best sounding subwoofer they have ever owned.
  11. Cheap enough that any manufacture in their right mind uses him. Ones like: a/d/s/, Alpine, American Bass, American Speaker Box, API, Artistic Audio, Artison, AudioVox, Audix, Autotek, Blaupunkt, Cerwin Vega, Crossfire, Daichi, DEI, Directed Electronics, Fishman, General Motors, Harmon, Icon, Innovative Fluidics, MB Quart, MTX, Niles, OEM, Orion, OZ Audio, Paramount, Phoenix Gold, POLK, PPI, PRC / Solus, PRECOR, Pyle/Klipsch, Rockford, RME, Russound, Seas, Sonavox, Stillwater, Titanium Power, Top Source, Triad, Vance Dickason, Washburn, X3 There is a reason people say he's one of if not the best in the world.
  12. After a few days of break-in it'll be on its way to Redrock.
  13. I say you go Steve Owens' route.
  14. Tridents, Ethos and samples of the Encore and Primo.
  15. AS THE TITLE SAYS THE ORDER COMING IN OCTOBER IS 50% SOLD!!!
  16. Steve and I talked about this months ago. The Ethos is a $350 1,800 watt rms sub made for use in a daily system. It was never designed to hang with these larger SPL style subs that cost twice as much. I will however be interested to see how well the trident compares and other large 4 inch coiled Neo drivers that will be available next year.
  17. There is a post on the bottom just like Julian posted. The starter wire for he silinoid comes directly off the alternator.
  18. PERSONAL MESSAGES HAVE BEEN DISABLED. ALL QUESTIONS SHOULD BE SENT TO [email protected] OR USE THE CONTACT FORM AT directsoundsolutions.com
  19. Keep it between 1,800 and 2,300.
  20. For all the noobs this is why you don't run 4k to a 1,800 watt driver.
